For the price you can't expect a high end luxury hotel, but the rooms are still very nice, big, and with a great view of the city. The staff is absolutely amazing, everyone is kind, helpful, polite and always smiling. The breakfast is good, with plenty of options. Things to improve: the internal AC units were dirty and needed cleaning and sanification, a lot of small things in the room were half broken (like the doors not closing properly, ruined furniture, etc). They clean daily, with a daily change of towels. There's also a nice swimming pool with a lot of shade and a well equipped gym (no sauna)
Apartments are very roomy with all necessary inclusions such as cooking facilities & washing machine. Rooms are a little dated & the lounges aren’t very comfortable. Their staff are brilliant & very helpful & friendly. Breakfast buffet is great with plenty of options. There is no onsite restaurant for lunch or dinner but there are many great eateries close by.
I had a wonderful stay at the Somerset. The location is fantastic, with so many options within a 5–10 minute walk. Head out and turn left, and you’ll find cafés, restaurants, nail salons, massage shops, hair washing services, 7-Eleven, and plenty more. There’s also a tuk-tuk out the front if you’d like a more local experience, or you can use the Grab app for convenient transportation and food delivery.
What really made this stay special was the exceptional customer service from the Concierge. They remembered my name, greeted me warmly every day, and often remembered where I had been or asked how my day was going. Those personal touches made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.
The whole team was always polite, kind, and professional. From helping with my bags and taking them to my room on arrival to offering assistance whenever needed, nothing was ever too much trouble. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made a lasting impression.
The combination of a great location, comfortable accommodation, and outstanding service made this a truly enjoyable stay. I would happily recommend the Somerset to anyone visiting Bangkok and would definitely stay here again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We stayed at Somerset Park Suanplu for 11 nights. Every aspect of our stay was perfect. The room met my expectations, the breakfast buffet had a wide range of options and the gardens and koi made my day everytime I stepped outside. There is a knowledgeable and personable tour guide on site and I would absolutely recommend speaking to them and trying one or more of their tours if you stay here. The standout for the hotel however are the staff. From the ladies who cleaned the room to the door men. Every staff member is friendly and goes above and beyond. We can't wait to come back.
Somerset Park Saunplu Bangkok Hotel was well worth the stay. Jit was awesome, remembered our names, and honestly made us feel like family. This hotel was honestly a taste at living in luxury compared to Australian hotels and was also located close to anything you need.
The staff were warm, inviting, and even remembered my name. They made sure I had everything I needed and were the best people to ask for tips on where to go if I wanted to explore. Their helpfulness and friendliness made a big difference for someone like me recovering from surgery needing a safe and calm place to heal or like my father just looking for a relaxing stay.
The room itself was elegantly modern, with a stunning view of the city. It was close to all amenities and even little luxuries, perfect for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a luxury hotel experience.
Every morning there was an all-you-can-eat buffet with the best food, fresh fruit, and salads — the perfect way to start the day. I also loved being able to walk out of the hotel at any time of day or night and buy 1kg of fresh fruit for around 80 baht (about $3.30 AUD) — mangosteens, custard apples, guava, mangoes, and so much more.
To be honest, can't wait to go back.
