Absolutely terrible experience. I stayed at this hotel expecting comfort and convenience, but all I got was frustration and unnecessary hassle. Parking is difficult and far, and the staff seem to constantly scrutinize your every move, no matter what you do. The entire experience feels uncomfortable and unwelcoming rather than relaxing. I can honestly say I will never stay here again. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.

This is my first time in Thailand and the staff at this property are by far the nicest people I have ever met at a hotel. I got really sick from street food and I had my do not disturb sign on for two days and I believe the manager and another staff member personally came to my room and checked in on me to see if I was okay. The price is great, the pool is beautiful and it’s in a great location. I extended my stay by an extra week. Don’t look anywhere else stay here.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The bellboys, housekeeping team, and security guards at the front of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. This is truly what great service looks like. The hotel itself is amazing. Our room was nice, clean, and spotless. The swimming pool is a good size, the gym is great, and the massage spa is amazing. We have stayed at many Somerset properties in Bangkok, and I would say this is definitely one of our top three. We will be returning in three months and honestly cannot wait! Thank you to the entire team for making our stay such a wonderful experience.
I stayed at the Somerset Ekamai for my duration of a holiday in Bangkok. I was having surgery and the hotel was recommended as it was close to the clinic. It is on a quiet but yet bustling neighbourhood with a very short walk to the local BTS station ( even has a free shuttle to the station every 30 minutes) the hotel was immaculate I stayed in a premier suite and it was like a mini home to me the size of it , it had everything, I was able to live there comfortably for five days post surgery. The only issue I would raise is that the that the televisions are not ‘smart’ compatible which is a very minor thing but it would be a good additional upgrade The house keeping kept the room immaculate on a daily basis, I was always met with a smile and greeting by the Bell staff and security who are all absolutely lovely people!!! And never seem to have an off moment. The reception staff were always there for any assistance. The hotel is perfect if you want a home from home and a relaxing atmosphere , there is an ice cream shop , restaurant, swimming pool and gym within the hotel. I was sad to be checking out yesterday and returning to Belfast and will most certainly stay there again when I return to Bangkok. Thank you for making my experience what it was Johnny
The Kind of Stay That Makes You Not Want to Check Out ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just completed a week at Somerset Ekkamai (28 Apr – 5 May) in a One-Bedroom Premier and honestly, packing up to leave was the hardest part. From the moment you walk in, it doesn’t feel like a hotel — it feels like a really well-designed Bangkok apartment that someone has thoughtfully prepared just for you. The Premier room is spacious and elegantly finished, with a proper king bed, beautiful padded feature wall, dressing table, and a work desk by the balcony window. The wardrobe even comes stocked with robes, slippers, iron, safe, and a Somerset-branded umbrella — little details that show they’ve thought about longer stays. The kitchen is genuinely functional — induction hob, full-size Electrolux fridge, microwave, washing and dryer machine, cookware, full cutlery including chopsticks, and a lovely set of wine glasses. You can absolutely cook and live in here comfortably for weeks. The bathroom is a standout — marble vanity, full soaking tub, separate rain shower enclosure, quality toiletries. It punches well above the typical serviced apartment standard. Step out onto the balcony and you get a lovely open Ekkamai, Bangkok skyline view with temple rooftops peeking through — that classic mix of old and new that makes this city so special. Location-wise, Ekkamai strikes the right balance — neighbourhood charm without sacrificing connectivity. BTS is close, good food is everywhere. Somerset Ekkamai delivers where it counts: space, comfort, cleanliness, and that elusive feeling of actually being at home. For anyone planning a week or more in Bangkok, look no further. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
