Park Hyatt Bangkok is a good hotel. It is clean, conveniently located, and ticks all the boxes you would expect from a five-star property. But is it exceptional? No. Do the staff go above and beyond? Unfortunately not. Will I look back on my stay with fond memories? Absolutely not. The breakfast was particularly disappointing. Every morning, the bread at the buffet was stale. I mentioned this to the staff, who insisted it had been freshly baked. Rather than acknowledge the issue, they simply dismissed the feedback, so I eventually gave up trying to explain. It was easier to buy my own bread in the mall next door. The breakfast setting itself felt more like a busy train station than a luxury hotel. It lacked the calm, comfortable atmosphere you would expect at this level. The Penthouse Bar & Grill, the hotel’s premium steakhouse, also fell short. A restaurant of this calibre and at this price level should have no difficulty distinguishing between a rare and a medium-rare steak. The rooms are tastefully minimalist, although perhaps a little too austere. The hallway carpet, however, is an unfortunate shade. Would I stay here again? No. There are simply too many excellent luxury hotels in Bangkok that offer warmer hospitality, better attention to detail, and a more memorable guest experience. I would not recommend Park Hyatt Bangkok. Park Hyatt was indeed one of the top hotels in town in the few years after its opening. Not anymore.

We absolutely love this hotel! We’ve stayed here four times already, and every visit has been exceptional. The service is consistently outstanding, and that’s one of the main reasons we keep coming back. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the area. Every member of the staff is warm, friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Everyone is always polite, attentive, and goes above and beyond to make us feel at home. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and always provides a relaxing and luxurious experience. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Thailand. We can’t wait to return for our fifth stay!
Beautiful property, but the service falls far short of what you expect from Park Hyatt. The hotel itself is very well designed and visually impressive, and the room layout is nice. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. From check in onward, the overall experience was disappointing. There was no introduction to the hotel, no explanation of restaurants, amenities, or even basic room features. That lack of communication created confusion throughout the stay. The room had multiple comfort issues. The pillows were extremely thin, and the replacements were uncomfortably hard. The bed is very firm. The air conditioning takes hours to cool the room, and the bathroom has no ventilation, so heat and humidity build up quickly. After a terrible night of sleep in a hot room, I tried to take an afternoon nap, and even with do not disturb on, the front desk decided to call my room for no clear reason. On my first night, the hot water in the shower also ran out completely. Food and beverage experiences were also poor. Room service quality was low, with poorly prepared fruit and pricing that did not match the quality. At the Thai restaurant, service timing was completely off. The main course was served immediately after the appetizer was delivered, before I had even started eating it. At the same time, the atmosphere was disruptive, with children running around the restaurant and no staff addressing it. This lack of oversight continued in other areas like the gym, where children were playing on equipment without any intervention. At the pool, I was completely ignored for an hour with no offer of service, not even water or a towel. Overall, it felt less like a luxury hotel and more like a very expensive daycare with inconsistent service and little attention to detail. For the price point, the experience was nowhere near acceptable and ended up being the worst service I have had in Bangkok
We came to Thailand to celebrate my fiancés 30th birthday. Having stayed at Hyatt regency koh samui the week before, we had really high expectations for Park Hyatt being in a higher category. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the staff, check in process was easy and quick with Pauline. She was absolutely amazing, wishing my fiance a happy birthday. We arrived really early around 10am so our room wasn’t ready yet, but we chilled by the pool while waited. Pauline then personally came to the pool to let us know our room is ready around noon and gave us the key cards. Throughout our stay, everytime we see Pauline she greeted us warmly and have had friendly conversations - really made an impact on our experience and happy to have someone speaking Cantonese with me - great to see the staff is so diverse here. (If GM is reading this, please give her a raise 😂) We stayed in a suite and the space and design were great. Soundproofing was good so we had a lot of privacy. There’s a construction site across from the hotel, but it’s not built up yet so not really obstructing the views. The bed was so comfortable, we slept extremely well. The Le Labo amenities were a nice touch! The breakfast was amazing, I loved that we can order à la carte options so food is made to order for us. The buffet options are great too, it felt like quality over quantity. We also ordered room service and the service was fabulous, food was good, I don’t think it was crazy overpriced. We were supposed to do the johnnie walker blue label masterclass but sadly couldn’t due to fiancé not feeling well. However, I’m happy to say that we will do this next time becuase we will definitely come back to Park Hyatt whenever we’re in Bangkok again.
I honestly lost count of how many times I’ve stayed at Park Hyatt Bangkok already because I never really wrote Google reviews before. But this time I decided to do one properly since I booked to a suite and wanted to share some photos for people thinking about staying here. The room was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. The atmosphere throughout the hotel still feels calm and luxurious every time I come back. Service was excellent from the moment I checked in — staff were welcoming, professional, and very attentive. The gym was also surprisingly good with modern equipment and a great city view while working out. I also really liked the spa and wellness area available for in-house guests. It made the stay even more relaxing. Overall, still one of my favorite hotels in Bangkok and definitely a place I keep coming back to.
