Montien Hotel Surawong Bangkok

Wow! How long have you got. Stayed here 15 times before, BUT this time I booked through Agoda. On arrival a BERY FROSTY RECEPTION “Ford” who told me my room type not available ( booked 2 rooms). I then asked if I could pay for an upgrade, yes, but will be 2 hours. Ok, angry by then so said cancel my whole reservation. Keep the money ill stay at Siam Heritage. At this point magically my rooms were now available. Go to the room at 15.45, request iron and iron board 4 times, at 22.00 it appears. So lets forget all that, Lets get to breakfast. The reception was appalling. Did not want us there. Then went to get toast, cockroaches crawling all over the bread and toast plates. In fairness, host was shocked! Then came back to the hotel at 2.30 am on Friday night/Sat morning of 19th Sept. Female receptionist only “growled” at us. Attitude disgusting. The GM. Really should get a grip! I wont lower myself to highlight on Linkedin but he needs to take a good look at his hotel. The attitude os his team is a reflection on him! Sort it or lose customers. I know I go back to the past but I stayed here with Miss Doris Gretchen as the GM. The place was immaculate and customer service TOO NOTCH, Please sort it.

Montien surawong was fabulous. Great service, staff were very friendly. My room was upgraded on check in and I was able to get a slightly later check out without fuss. The location is great, near major transport lines (blue line and BTS) and near the wonderful lumphini park. It was also really good value..would definitely stay again when in Bangkok.

We had a fantastic stay at the Montien Hotel and would highly recommend it. The staff were genuinely some of the happiest and most welcoming people we’ve come across. A very special mention to Tikk at the front door, who was absolutely wonderful. He was always so happy to see us, greeted us with a huge smile every time we returned, and made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay. We’d also love to recognise the gentleman looking after the pool area. Unfortunately, we didn’t get his name, but he was fantastic and took such great care of us every day we spent by the pool. Room was amazing, biggest bed ever!!! Immaculate & clean! Great location, straight across from Markets & great local restaurants. Great hotel, wonderful service, and exceptional people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!

From check in to check out we loved this hotel. The staff are amazing, so friendly, kind, caring and helpful. Professional service with beatiful smiles for any assistance needed or wanted, room cleaning, hotel grounds, pool welcoming, greetings, luggage control, we just loved every moment. The rooms are fresh, clean, spacious and we felt so welcomed. Thanking foam, beam, poke and the gracious door men. Central to everything we needed to see and including the trains, bus, tuk tuks, street food, shops, the grand palace, night markets, river piers etc.
