Mode Sathorn Hotel

Overall, this was a great hotel and we had a very enjoyable stay. We were fortunate to stay on the 36th floor with an amazing view, and we were very satisfied with both the room and the service throughout our stay. One real positive was the hotel’s helpfulness when I had an issue with an additional night booked through Agoda. The hotel tried to contact the travel provider but did not receive a response. I ultimately had to cancel the Agoda booking and book the extra night directly with the hotel instead. The only disappointment was on my departure day. This was one of the more expensive hotels in the area, so I expected a little more flexibility. As I had to leave for the airport at 10:30 PM, I could not use the breakfast included in my rate the following morning. I asked whether the hotel could offer something of comparable value or remove the breakfast from the rate, especially as I stayed for six nights. Unfortunately, neither was possible, and only a 100 THB reduction was offered. Apart from this small disappointment, everything else went very smoothly, and I would still recommend the hotel.

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ We love Thailand and rarely leave negative reviews, but this hotel was disappointing for the price. The room was spacious, clean, and the beds were comfortable, but many details felt cheaply finished. Upon arrival - The reception staff were polite but lacked the warm Thai hospitality we've experienced elsewhere. Breakfast had very limited variety and was almost the same every day. The biggest disappointment was the gym: old equipment, no working air conditioning, and not even complimentary drinking water. Our booking was for three people, yet we received only two towels and two bottles of water each day. The location is good, but we've stayed in much better hotels in Thailand for a similar price. The lady at the travel desk was the friendliest person in the hotel. Unfortunately, we wouldn't choose this hotel again.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Mode Sathorn Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help in any way they could. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making our stay very enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from each morning. One of the highlights of our stay was the rooftop, where we enjoyed the stunning views along with the excellent service. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Mode Sathorn Hotel to anyone visiting Bangkok. We would definitely stay here again!

Room was nice and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was also great. The hotel also has a really nice roof-top bar on the 38th floor. However, I can only give the room three stars because of the bathroom and lighting settings. The bathroom was gorgeous and had a spacious shower and a bath with views over the city. Lovely altogether. BUT it was accessed via a sliding, glass door from the bedroom. This door was completely see-through. It was kind of frosted or embossed but to no effect. This meant absolutely no privacy, and even in marriage, some aspects of bodily function should remain a mystery!! The other problem was the way the lights worked in the room. The controls for the lights were on a panel at one side of the bed. There was fully off, on or sleep mode (where one light in the room and bathroom were left on). There was no separate switch for the bathroom lights - This meant that when Sleep mode had to be left on all night so that there was a light left on in the bathroom so that the person on the other side of the bed had light in the bathroom if they needed to use it during the night. The alernative was to have all the lights off and risk an injury stumbling to and around the bathroom at night.
