Great value hotel—super solid and reliable. Stayed 3 times (10 days total). Pros: Near the station, cheap, has a bathtub, solid room service and housekeeping. The location alone carries this place and makes up for everything else. Cons: Bad soundproofing. 50/50 chance you get a room facing the Nikko Hotel with zero privacy. No bar or lounge (just use the Nikko’s). Verdict: Incredible value. Location is king. Will 100% stay again if the price is right.

We had a wonderful stay at JAL City Bangkok. The hotel was comfortable, welcoming, and well located, making it a great base for exploring Bangkok with our family. A special mention must go to Ms. Botan Chaipakdee, whose exceptional hospitality truly made our stay memorable. She went out of her way to help us, was incredibly supportive and attentive, and always made us feel genuinely cared for. Her warmth and kindness really stood out. Thank you to Ms. Botan and the entire team at JAL City Bangkok for making our stay so pleasant. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Bangkok!
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service provided by the reception, concierge, and restaurant teams throughout my stay. In particular, I want to thank Jeab from the restaurant. Every morning, she thoughtfully prepared lime honey for my wife, and her kindness and consistency truly made our stay feel special. We are very grateful for her outstanding hospitality.
My stay at Hotel JAL City Bangkok was a wonderful introduction to Japanese hospitality in the heart of Bangkok. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed by the staff. Everyone was friendly, professional, and always ready to help, making the entire stay smooth and comfortable. The room was spacious, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with everything I needed. I especially enjoyed the Japanese-style soaking bathtub, which was perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city. Breakfast at S-SEN Restaurant offered a great selection of Japanese, Thai, and Western dishes. I also had dinner at Hishou Japanese Restaurant across the street, and the quality of the food was excellent. Located in Thong Lo, the hotel is convenient for both business and leisure travelers, with easy access to the BTS, restaurants, cafés, and shopping areas. If you're looking for a comfortable hotel with genuine Japanese hospitality in Bangkok, I highly recommend Hotel JAL City Bangkok. I would be happy to stay here again.
I used to stay in Okura and Nikko, and this is the first time I stayed in JAL Bangkok. I would say you won't be disappointed with the Japanese hotels. Hotel JAL of course couldn't be compared with Okura but JAL offers a great Cost-effectiveness. In fact, I am more than happy with the staying experience with JAL. Room is clean and tidy. Shower water pressure strong. Quite and location convincent. But they don't have lots of facility, like swimming pool, or fitness room. They have shared it with Hotel Nikko which is just next to it. For sure I will come back to this hotel for next visit. Here’s a cleaner, more natural version of your review: I’ve previously stayed at Okura and Nikko, and this was my first time at Hotel JAL Bangkok. You really can’t go wrong with Japanese hotel brands. While JAL can’t quite compare to Okura in terms of luxury, it offers excellent value for money. In fact, I was more than satisfied with my stay. The room was clean and tidy, the shower had strong water pressure, and the environment was quiet with a convenient location. That said, the hotel doesn’t have many facilities such as a swimming pool or fitness center. These are shared with Hotel Nikko, which is located right next door. Overall, I would definitely return to this hotel on my next visit.
