Amazing service and location. Centrally located and close to the central world mall as well as other malls. Service was amazing, attentive, and kind. Room was spacious as well. I highly recommend staying here! Very nice touches throughout the hotel and my only regret is not swimming in the pool during my stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok this Summer . We had already stayed at the hotel before, and once again, everything was perfect. The welcome was wonderful from the moment we arrived, and the level of service throughout our stay was outstanding. A very special mention goes to the restaurant team, both at breakfast and dinner. The French Chef, Sous-Chef and the entire team are simply incredible: always present, attentive and ready with a kind word or thoughtful gesture. The choice of food is impressive, refined and varied, with something for every taste. The quality and attention to detail truly make the dining experience stand out. There were also many lovely touches for the children, which made our stay even more special as a family. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Bangkok, making it an excellent choice for exploring the city. Everything is thoughtfully designed and beautifully executed, both in terms of the hotel experience and the restaurants. We were once again completely delighted with our stay and would happily return.
Great Staff and Location, Though Rooms are Due for an Update We spent our two-week time in Bangkok at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok. Upon entry to this beautiful hotel, your eye is drawn to the koi pond, the fountains, and the open vastness of the location with marble pillars, wood ceilings, arched glass with scrollwork, and beautiful flowers. Staff were nearly tripping over themselves to greet you and welcome you, and in that aspect, this facility was amazing. THE ROOMS & SERVICE DURING ILLNESS: What we found a little disappointing was the rooms. The layout was a little awkward, the television was off-centered, and the table in the seating area had a glass top that wasn't actually secure—my husband almost flipped the glass off the table on more than one occasion. The rooms are definitely outdated, which was a little inconvenient given the fact that we ended up sick in Bangkok and down for the count in the room for roughly five of those days. However, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. And the staff truly shined during our illness. They were more than willing to deliver breakfast (which was included in our stay) straight to our room. When we ordered Grab food delivery, they brought it right up as well. We also qualified for lounge access; when we were able to visit it in person, the Club Lounge offered a great space and excellent service. We were especially grateful for their willingness to bring lounge offerings directly to our room during the days when we were running fevers and didn't want to infect anyone else. BREAKFAST & THE LOUNGE TEAM: We made our way into the breakfast area during our stay. They had ample stations, and while it could get a little slow at the egg station, the tables are numbered so the staff was always willing to take your order and bring it to your table on your behalf. If you had your table number available, you could also provide that to the egg station so they could keep things moving without causing too much of a backup. Overall, the space was very busy, but it never felt chaotic. Sunny and Ann were very friendly as well. A special shout-out to Gai, who was marvelous in the club lounge area. She always greeted us with a smile and was genuinely concerned about us when we were ill and hadn't been seeing us. She always did her best to check on us, make sure we were okay, and provide us with anything as needed. GYM & FACILITIES: We used the gym on multiple occasions early in our stay, and it has outstanding options with everything you could possibly need available. It is easily one of the best hotel gyms we have encountered during our travels. There is also a spa jacuzzi area, which we didn't end up using, but it looked like a great amenity. LOCATION & AMENITIES: The location is very walkable and convenient, situated right next to the famous Erawan Shrine, major malls, and the BTS Skytrain. FINAL VERDICT: Overall, I think this is a place we would come back to. They are actually working on renovating the rooms, and so I think once the renovations bring this up to a more modern style, this will be an excellent location to stay. We loved it.
If you're a Hyatt Globalist trying to figure out whether the Grand Hyatt Erawan is your best play in Bangkok, here's my honest take after a recent stay. I checked in after a few days traveling around Thailand, and walking into the Erawan felt rushed and a bit cold — which maybe just comes with the territory at a big-city business traveler focused institution like this, but it still threw me off. As a Globalist, I was escorted up to the Club Lounge for check-in. It was efficient, I'll give them that, but there was no upgrade available at all. I got a standard room just one floor up, not far from the lounge. The room itself was small compared to what I've gotten used to in Thailand, and while the decor is classic, it's also a bit out of date. The layout didn't help — irregular angles everywhere that made the space feel awkward and uncomfortable to move around in. On the plus side, the bed was really comfortable, the sheets were nice, and the pillows were great. Now, the bathroom. Everything worked well, but the towels were old and frankly a bit tattered. And whoever designed the glass partition between the toilet and the shower did not think about privacy — if you're showering, you can see whoever is sitting on the toilet and whatever business they're doing. Unless you're very, very close with your travel companion, this room is not good for sharing. The bathroom also felt cramped. The Club Lounge was decent, about what you'd expect volume-wise from other Grand Hyatts in Asia. Evening food and drinks were solid — there was a live cooking station with pork knuckle and typical trimmings, fresh kimchi soup, a decent salad bar, and a nice selection of upscale desserts. The lounge itself has beautiful views over a nearby golf course. The pool, set several stories above the street, is a beautiful tropical oasis and probably the hotel's best escape. Breakfast was quite nice too — plentiful options, upscale pastries, and the usual luxury hotel offerings. The lobby stands out for its traditional, yesteryear Thai colonial decor; it's genuinely elegant. Location is extremely central, no complaints there. Multiple shopping malls within walking distance, Skytrain and Metro stations connected, and Lumpini Park is just a 20-minute walk away. But here's the thing — and this is important for Globalists. Just four days earlier, I stayed at The Standard, Bangkok. Completely different experience. Full of modernity, warmth, friendliness, and a more interesting vibe. As a Globalist, I felt treated much better there: incredible suite upgrade, fantastic breakfast, staff who actually seemed happy to see me. At the Erawan, the service felt perfunctory and the hotel's age shows in ways that matter. So if you're a Globalist deciding where to maximize your Bangkok experience, I'd think hard about this one. The location, pool, and Club Lounge food are real assets. But if you're hoping for an upgrade, a modern room, or staff that makes you feel valued for your loyalty, you might leave disappointed. I would recommend looking at other properties in the city before locking this in.
Definitely one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, and easily the best chain hotel experience so far. The breakfast is absolutely outstanding: an incredible variety of dishes, drinks prepared on request, fantastic desserts, plenty of fresh fruit, and so many delicious options to choose from. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, the pool is wonderful, especially in the morning before the sun gets too strong and the water stays cool. The spa center is also truly amazing. We stayed there in early December, just before Christmas, and the atmosphere felt absolutely magical. The festive decorations and cozy holiday mood made the whole experience even more special.
