So happy with my experience at this wonderful hotel, from the doorman to the ladies who clean the rooms and the common areas - everybody is so polite and welcoming and this makes all the difference to me. The room had a gorgeous view of the Bangkok skyline and from the 20th floor it is quite incredible. Clean, beautiful rooms, good pressure in the taps and a very cool and calm waiting area downstairs. Right next to 7/11 and a few local bars and food places. 👌

My stay at Grand Howard Hotel was overall decent, but the hotel is definitely showing signs of age and could use some refurbishment. While the property still has a modern design and spacious layout, there are noticeable areas where maintenance and updates would make a big difference. The rooms were comfortable enough and reasonably clean, but small details stood out. Scuffed walls, worn finishes, and areas needing touch-up paint gave the impression that the hotel hasn’t been refreshed in quite some time. The lobby especially could benefit from attention. The sofas and upholstery looked tired and worn, which unfortunately takes away from the first impression when you arrive. That said, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Check-in was smooth, and everyone we interacted with was polite and accommodating. Service was probably the strongest part of the experience. The breakfast was also fairly good, offering a mix of Thai and international choices with enough variety to start the day comfortably. The location was convenient for getting around Bangkok, and transportation was easy to arrange. The rooftop pool area was nice for relaxing after a busy day in the city, although even there you could see some wear and tear around the property. Overall, Grand Howard Hotel still offers decent value, especially for travelers looking for an affordable stay in Bangkok. However, the hotel would really benefit from updates, fresh paint, and replacing some of the worn furniture to bring it back up to the standard it appears to aim for.
Located on a busy street, without great curbside appeal. Bell hop was very sweet but front desk didn't even look up for at least 5 minutes of me standing and waiting. The room was clean and the bed below average in comfort. The breakfast buffet is very good. Good coffee. Fresh fruit. Welll stocked buffet. Pool looks better in the online photos, but was cooling and fun. Workout room is air conditioned and good enough. The elevator to the 20th floor was ridiculously smooth.
I recently stayed at this hotel and wanted to share an honest and balanced review. The standout aspect of this hotel is definitely the cleanliness. The rooms were impeccably clean throughout my stay, and I truly have nothing negative to say about this, it was excellent. The staff was also polite and helpful, which I appreciated. However, overall, the experience did not match what I would expect from a 4-star hotel. The rooms and facilities felt somewhat outdated, and the general standard was closer to a 3-star level when compared to other hotels in a similar price range in Bangkok. The location, while something I was aware of beforehand, ended up being less convenient than expected, especially in terms of transportation. Overall, while the cleanliness is a strong positive, I believe the hotel does not fully meet the expectations of a 4-star category.
Disappointing Experience at Grand Howard Hotel, Bangkok Our stay at Grand Howard Hotel was not as expected. One of the biggest drawbacks was that there was no Indian food available, which made dining quite inconvenient for us. The hotel is also located far from the main locality and popular areas, making travel time longer than anticipated. On our last day, we requested a simple bottle of water at the reception, but we were asked to pay 20 THB for it. While the amount is small, it felt unnecessary considering basic hospitality expectations. Although most of the staff members were polite and helpful, the reception team needs better hospitality training and improved customer handling skills. The swimming pool was quite small and did not meet our expectations based on the hotel presentation. Additionally, we were offered small souvenirs in exchange for leaving a good review, which felt unprofessional. Overall, the experience was average and could definitely be improved with better service standards and guest-focused hospitality.
