The Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River sets the bar for every other hotel. Of all the hotels we have stayed at across many different countries, this was by far our best overall experience. We arranged our airport transfer through the hotel concierge before arriving in Bangkok. They collected our flight information and took care of everything from there. After we cleared immigration, collected our bags, and passed through customs, a professional and friendly Four Seasons representative was waiting for us. The car was immediately outside, and there was absolutely no waiting. That level of service continued the moment we arrived at the hotel. A team of smartly dressed staff members greeted us, collected our luggage, and arranged to have it delivered to our room while a guest relations representative personally escorted us upstairs for an in-room check-in. No standing in line at a front desk. In fact, I'm not entirely sure they even have a traditional check-in desk. From the moment you walk through the front doors, it becomes obvious that personalized service is a major part of the culture here. The professionalism, courtesy, knowledge, and thoughtful attention to even the smallest details are remarkable. I really cannot emphasize this enough. If you didn't occasionally see other guests around the hotel, you could almost believe you were the only person staying there. I would stop by the bar several times a day for a coffee or soda. After the first day, the staff working in the bar area remembered my name and used it every time they greeted me. That may seem like a small detail, but those small details are exactly what separate this hotel from almost every other luxury hotel we have visited. The service is truly what makes this property exceptional. Once you experience this level of hospitality, other hotel stays may suddenly feel a little inadequate. The hotel itself is relatively new, and everything still looks immaculate. Our room was beautifully appointed with modern furniture and tasteful decor. The hotel offers several bedding preferences, including mattress firmness and pillow options. We stayed with the standard configuration and found it extremely comfortable. The room was spacious, and the enormous windows made it feel even larger while filling the space with natural light. The view was excellent, and the room remained thoroughly clean and perfectly maintained from the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out. Before choosing this hotel, I read a review claiming that it did not offer enough choices for guests with dietary restrictions. I honestly have no idea where that person ate breakfast, because it could not have been here. I'm a strict vegetarian and somehow I managed to experience decision fatigue at breakfast. There are two large buffet areas filled with an enormous selection of fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, French toast, pancakes, cheeses, meats, traditional Thai dishes, and plenty of other choices. On top of that, there is an extensive made-to-order menu with additional dishes that can be customized. Breakfast service was just as impressive as everything else. The staff checked on us every 10 to 15 minutes, refilled coffee and juice, removed dishes, and made sure we had everything we needed. They managed to be extremely attentive without ever becoming intrusive, which is a difficult balance and surprisingly rare. The pool area is fantastic as well. There is no fighting with other guests over lounge chairs or wandering around trying to figure out where to sit. Pool attendants manage the entire area. They provide towels, escort you to your lounger, offer drinks, and bring complimentary snacks. If you're trying to decide where to stay in Bangkok, stop searching. This is the one. I've always enjoyed staying at Four Seasons properties, but our experience at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River took my appreciation for the brand to another level. Four Seasons for life.

Our stay at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok was marred by serious billing issues and poor follow-up. At check-in we were overcharged THB 33,897.60 despite a clear confirmation for three persons; our request to verify the amount was dismissed and the error was only acknowledged after we proved it ourselves. We were later told “everything is paid”, yet faced an extra THB 5,029 for the airport transfer. An urgent request for a detailed bill before departure went unanswered for eight hours. The only “service recovery” offered was a complimentary transfer, which does not match the seriousness of what happened. Compared with other Four Seasons hotels we’ve stayed at (e.g. Kuala Lumpur), the service and handling of mistakes here was disappointing and damaged our trust in the brand. A formal corporate complaint has been filed directly with Corporate Management and the General Manager, and we are currently awaiting an official response regarding these financial and service failures. Perhaps the Four Seasons Bangkok team would benefit from a workshop at Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur, where we experienced a much stronger standard of management communication, accountability and service recovery. If you want to have a relaxing and enjoyable time during the holiday perhaps book another hotel. 😉
I recently stayed at Four Seasons Bangkok and was truly impressed by the exceptional service from the entire team. I would especially like to mention Khun Bow at Riva Restaurant. Her warm energy, genuine smile, and enthusiasm in taking care of guests every morning truly made my day. She made us feel so welcomed and well taken care of throughout our breakfast. Thank you, Khun Bow, for your wonderful hospitality and for making our stay even more memorable. Your positive energy really made a difference!
My stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River has been exceptional. It is easily one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The construction finishes, design and overall fit-out are a genuine 10/10. Everything feels luxurious, refined and extremely well thought out. The hotel is also immaculately clean throughout. The rooms are magnificent, with beautiful finishes, high ceilings and plenty of space. Housekeeping has been excellent, with the room cleaned and presented perfectly every day. The food has also been amazing. There is a fantastic selection available, and everything I have tried has been of an extremely high standard. What makes the Four Seasons Bangkok truly stand out, though, is the staff. Every person you walk past makes an effort to say good morning, hello or ask how you are. The service feels warm and genuine rather than forced, and there is a real family atmosphere throughout the hotel. That level of hospitality makes a huge difference. I would have no hesitation recommending the Four Seasons Bangkok to friends, family or colleagues. From the rooms and food to the finishes, cleanliness and outstanding service, the entire experience has been exceptional. Easily one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, and somewhere I would absolutely return to.
Our stay at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River was excellent. The hotel perfectly combines luxury and comfort, and the beautiful design makes you want to stay in and enjoy the property all day. One of the things we loved most was the spacious layout of the hotel. The room was comfortable and beautifully designed, and our kids especially enjoyed the tiki tent that was set up for them. The hotel also offers great facilities, including swimming pools, a fitness center, and a kids’ club. The staff at the fitness center were particularly attentive, always making sure we had towels and water during our workouts. We also loved their Espresso Martini—easily one of the best we’ve had. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable as well. While there could be a few more food options, the quality and service were excellent. The location along the Chao Phraya River provides a peaceful escape from the busy city. We especially appreciated the complimentary boat shuttle to ICONSIAM, which made getting around very convenient. The only small disappointment was that the sauna and steam room were unavailable during our stay due to ongoing improvements. However, we understand that these upgrades are being made to enhance the guest experience. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return. Next time, we’ll make sure to spend even more time enjoying everything the hotel has to offer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious stay in Bangkok.
