Giving this a 1-star for various reasons. #1 is bed bugs. My friend was bitten all night and had to change rooms. The hostess at breakfast would NOT let me in because she said there’s only 1 person registered in the room. I tried to explain that’s probably an error. She said she would check and made me stand outside while she checked. After 5 minutes I asked to speak to the manager as this is the first time in 40 years I have been asked to wait outside while everyone entering looked at me like I was a beggar. So embarrassing. Like I have to lie to get coffee, toast and eggs? The buffet breakfast was very average. Your basic eggs, breads, etc. it’s was crowded and loud. Taste was average to poor. So I wished I didn’t even bothered. With so many options in Bangkok, I would never come again nor recommend anyone else. BTW, it’s a large complex with many towers. You go up one elevator and then find another. No real signs telling you where to go. Not easy if it’s your first time. And it’s not located near anything

I am writing to submit a formal complaint regarding the hotel shuttle bus service and front desk service attitude during my stay. At check-in, the front desk staff only informed us that the hotel provides a shuttle bus service. They did NOT actively remind us that advance reservation is required for the shuttle. There was no verbal warning or clear written prompt about this mandatory booking rule during check-in. This morning, we arrived at the lobby to take the 10:30 shuttle bus following the timetable posted in the lobby. Only at that moment did the staff tell us that we needed to reserve seats in advance and we could not board the bus. When we questioned this oversight, the staff responded with an arrogant attitude, claiming that all other overseas guests already knew this rule. They put all responsibility on us as guests and refused to recognise the hotel’s omission in sharing important information, without any apology. Although the timetable poster in the lobby has small print stating “Reservations are essential”, this critical requirement was not highlighted at check-in. It is not reasonable for the hotel to assume every guest will read all fine print, or that all international travellers automatically understand this rule. The shuttle bus is a complimentary service promoted by your hotel. Failure to inform guests of this key reservation rule at check-in disrupted our travel schedule and caused great inconvenience. The dismissive attitude of the staff further ruined our guest experience. I kindly request the hotel to review and improve your check-in procedure. Front desk team should proactively inform every guest of the shuttle bus reservation requirement upon arrival, instead of shifting responsibility to guests afterwards.
A wonderful option for anyone looking for a more relaxed, resort-like stay without leaving Bangkok. What surprised me most about Chatrium Sathon was how green and peaceful the property feels, particularly around the beautiful lagoon-style swimming pool surrounded by tropical greenery. I stayed in the Grand Deluxe 1-Bedroom King, which is incredibly spacious at 70 sqm. Having a separate bedroom, living and dining area, kitchen and private balcony makes a real difference, especially for families travelling with children or guests planning a longer stay. The ground-floor and lobby areas also have a warm character, with greenery, artwork and Thai-inspired decorative touches throughout. I also had dinner at Abricias, where we enjoyed Mediterranean-inspired dishes in a relaxed setting. It was lovely being able to spend the entire evening within the property without needing to head back into the city. Overall, a spacious and comfortable Bangkok stay with an unexpectedly tropical atmosphere. I would particularly recommend it for families and anyone who appreciates having more room to truly settle in.
We had a wonderful stay! The room was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for families with children. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax. The swimming pool was large, clean, and well maintained, making it a great place for both kids and adults to enjoy. It was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily come back again in the future.
Have had no problem with this hotel or staff. It's been a wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend to families and would do it again in a heartbeat. If you're looking for a family property or even just a great property without a family, I definitely recommend this place as a landing spot. Nita, and the entire staff went out of their way to make the guests feel welcome. Nice gym, and nice pool surrounded by greenery, you get all of Bangkok, and still just far enough away to feel the peace.
