Edy, my tour guide was very helpful and informed. He gave us background and context to the temples history. The Kecak dance was cool. Great night tour to fill in the day.

A must see cultural moment. Stay for the Kecak Fire Dance. Well worth it! The sunset is spectacular. The monkeys are crafty critters! Don’t leave anything to chance! Phones in pockets; sunglasses and eye glasses on heads; hats; jewellery; water bottles! All are fair game. Don’t make eye contact with them as this is a challenge they won’t leave unanswered. Must do with a guide. I booked through Viator and best thing I did. My guide Dedy was sensational! Door to door service and a wealth of knowledge and experience. Highly recommend. He explained the story behind the dance and the temple’s history. A safe and reliable driver.
Mr Kana was our driver & guide he looked after us , took us around the temple and was very informative. The Kecak dance was an excellent finish to the evening.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Balinese culture and led us through the tour superbly answering our questions, pointing out temples, taking our photographs and guiding us along the trail that would eventually end where the Kecak fire dance would begin. The tour was planned perfectly so that we could watch the sunset from the temple’s dramatic cliffside location where we enjoyed stunning views of the Indian Ocean stretching endlessly across the horizon. The Kecak dance at sunset tells a fascinating story and is truly a must-see experience if you are here, I have never seen anything like it. Tips: On your trail around the grounds keep your personal belongings out of sight, the monkeys are clever and bold and will happily snatch items knowing a guide might bribe them with food to return what they’ve stolen. It was funny to watch but also a little worrying, especially for those who never got their things back which you could tell by the remains scattered where the monkeys gather.
Eddie was such an amazing guide! So kind and informative. This was one of the best experiences of my whole trip! I would absolutely reach out to him / this booking next time I’m in Bali!
Eddy was a great guide! He is very knowledgeable about Bali, Indonesia, and the world! Uluwatu was amazing! Be sure to not wear glasses or bring valuables because the monkeys are very mischievous.
We had a lovely Saturday evening on the Uluwatu Temple and Kecak Fire Dance Tour. Ghali, our friendly guide met us on time at our Nusa Dua hotel lobby and provided us with a bottle of water. He informed us of what to expect and about the significance of Uluwatu Temple. Saturday afternoon the roads were rather quiet, and Ghali asked if we were interested in tasting coffee at the Bukit Sari Balinese Coffee House. It was interesting to see the luwak and how the Indonesians process the famous luwak coffee. We sat for fifteen minutes sipping a range of Balinese teas and coffees which was free, but this was followed by browsing the coffee shop. Warning, the fixed prices of the packaged coffee here are double or triple the cost of coffee sold in Australia. Uluwatu was already busy by the time we arrived, but we managed to find a car park. Ghali explained the importance of wearing the sarong, fetched the entry tickets, protected us from the sneaky monkeys, was helpful in taking photos of us, led us to the entrance of the outdoor theatre and provided a paper summary of the show’s story. The Kecak Fire Dance was an amazing dance-drama-musical and different to the usual Balinese dancing. Whilst the sunset was lovely it was rather hot on the people facing it. We choose seats with our backs to the sun. At Uluwatu, there are small shops for food and drink and an ATM. Ghali was very accommodating to our needs, and we enjoyed sharing information about our cultures whilst returning to our hotel.
Stunning views & amazing show! Such a great opportunity to learn more about the culture. Our guide, Adie, was so accommodating, approachable, and knowledgeable!! He took such good care of us and was just all around fun to hang out with for the day!
Kecak Fire Dance and the sunset at the pura luhur uluwatu are something I would highly recommend for those visiting Bali, Uluwatu. Tour guide arranged by Adie whose name is Komang Dedy (he freelances as a tour guide but mostly works for Adie) was terrific as he provided necessary details to where we were heading and what to be expected.
Wonderful experience: very well organized with WhatsApp contact to confirm our very spontaneous booking and the perfect guide who shared a lot of knowledge and provided an excellent and very friendly service. Thank you for an impressive tour, Dedy, it really was a “lucky day” for us!
Easy pick up and drop off. Temple and kecek dance were stunning. Tour guide made sure every thing went smoothly- Even made sure we had cold waters during the performance. We would recommend this tour to anyone looking to enjoy the Uluwatu sunset!
Our driver was exceptional he gave details on the land markings and the area. He provided details on the temple and the story that was being performed.
I enjoyed the experience with my tour guide yes he was very informative about the temple and showed me all about important monuments along the way. He made me feel very welcomed and I had a great time would definitely book again.
The Temple and traditional dance was a very moving experience that could not have recreated again. We were also very lucky to have a tour guide (Kadeck) who went above & beyond in providing us with an answer to every question we asked and we were able to gain a greater understanding of life in Bali as well as the Hindu religion and way of life. We will always be very grateful for the service he provided and highly recommend this trip to anyone interested.
Tri and Ali did a great job, very friendly and knowledgeable. My favorite part was the fees from the Monkey temple. They are breathtaking.
If I had to rate only the driver Edu I would rate it with a 5 (excellent) but the temple and the show do not deserve 2.30h drive from Juta beach.
Beautiful temple, the fire dance was once interesting of another culture, but very many people, no place to run
Very nice trip to the temple with final fire show. Especially thanks to our guide Edy, super reliable with pointed tips and hints. Thank you
The tour with our tour guide Edy to the temple was very nice. On the way there, we were told many valuable tips and interesting information. A great show and a beautiful experience!
