Ubud Small Group Tour: Monkey Forest, Tegalalang Rice Terraces And More

Great experience! We covered a lot of ground in one day and were able to see and do many things comfortably and with great insight from our guide Alit.

Krisna was a fantastic guide! This was a great way to efficiently see the highlights of Ubud without having to worry about orchestrating any of the logistics (transportation, tickets, tours). Krisna made the whole thing so easy, so we could just appreciate the beautiful sites. He was great to talk to, very knowledgeable, and an excellent photographer.

This is a great day tour to see some interesting inland sights in Bali. The monkey sanctuary was fantastic!!! Our driver and guide, Bello, was really nice and great fun! The group was five people, so a nice size. It was good to see another side of Bali.

Our guide Wayan was excellent. Very engaging and informative. We learnt a lot on this tour, and experienced a wide range of Balinese cultural aspects. It was a long day, but very rewarding!

This is an ideal trip for solo travellers to join- not just for couples. The traffic as always is slow, so be prepared for long journeys. Having said that, the experiences were definitely worth it. A big thank you to Bello for making the group tour so ennoble and catering to everyone’s individual needs. He was very knowledgable and ensured we were safely trannspirted

Very enjoyable experience from start to finish we had a group of 4 people our guide Made Pasek was amazing very knowledgeable and friendly and very punctual. The monkeys were really funny and come really close. They sometimes jump on you so be aware. The rice fields are stunning with amazing views and options to do the swings and do a trapeze bike ride. The temple is a really nice place to visit and the bathing is optional. Saris are free of charge to use whilst visiting the temple. We stopped off for lunch at a beautiful open air restaurant and it is reasonably priced with plenty of meal choices. The waterfall is absolutely stunning with a swimming pool or can actually swim in the river. I would definitely recommend this trip. Thank you Made 🥰

Picked up and taken to the sacred monkey forest which was amazing can get really close. Then we went to the rice terrace which was absolutely stunning. Follwed by the temple and stopped off for lunch which was really good. Our final stop was the waterfall which is amazing very picturesque and can take a swim. Then we headed home our driver Made Pasek he was really knowledgeable and a really great guide I would definitely recommend this trip.

We were able to visit many places in a short amount of time with a friendly local Balinese guide. Hotel pickup and drop-off were also included, which made everything very convenient. I highly recommend this tour for anyone with limited time in Bali who wants to see as many of the major attractions as possible in a short period. My small group booking ended up being my own little private tour. Nyoman was fantastic! All the great locations along with being my personal photographer for the day. ☺️

It was a nice way to discover more of the island. Krisna was a very good guide, he learns me alot about the places we visit. I could ask him my questions. I recommend this tour if you want to see some hotspots of bali.

The driver is very flexible and will take you where you request or can suggest itinerary along the way

travelled hours to just get to the first spot. coffee place was okay. got a sample coffee tray that was fun. monkey forest was amusing. then was taken to a super busy over priced lunch spot where we paid $45 for the smallest 4 pieces of chicken breast. the temple is a giant scam. hey come see the healing water, key word see... but you wanna get in the water that will cost extra. cause healing water doesn't work unless you pay apparently. oh and regardless of if you are fully covered they still make you put on a sarong from a dirty pile of sweaty used sarongs. the markets are full of cheap plastic. and the water full is just entry. everything else you need to pay. even the elevator....... rice fields are a big mud puddle. no transparency extra costs everywhere.

I honestly don't post reviews much, but my Bali adventure was honestly one of the best tours I've ever had, and so much of it was because of my tour guide, Yogi! I'm the type of person who usually likes to go out and adventure on my own, but I had limited time in Bali, and found this tour which covers a lot of Bali in a short time. And thats exactly what I got, a day fully maximized in which I saw a lot, and did a lot too! I saw rice terraces, tried some Lewak Coffee (and saw the process for making the coffee), saw the Monkey Forest with the albino monkeys too, and was just an overall amazing experience! Also, if anyone has been to Bali before, you know the traffic can be a bit chaotic. But with Yogi, honestly I felt so safe the whole time that I could just take in the scenary and enjoy my time! A 5 Star rating in every way possible!

Amazing day. My driver Yogi was an excellent driver and tour guide. Very knowledgeable and on point in every way possible. Couldn't ask for a better guide. I ran out of cash and he paid for my spiritual cleansing at Tirta Empul. Excellent tour. Excellent company. Gede Yogi Setyawan was my guide. I highly recommend him. Tour and guide 5/5 stars.

Guide Dewa was great from the start welcoming me with a smile and drove me to major attractions in Ubud with knowledge of each place. Without needing to spend the entire day, I felt like I had enough time to check out each spot and take photos and enjoy the location and move on to the next, and still make it back to my hotel to catch the sunset. I would recommend it anyone wanting a small group or private tour.

I’m so glad I chose this tour as it enabled me to see so much of beautiful Ubud in just one day. My guide Gusti was brilliant - and as a local, he was able to impart unique knowledge about each stop on the tour, which was extremely helpful - particularly at the temple where ceremonies and customs were being performed. The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary was a particular highlight for me as a primate lover - watching the macaques’ cheeky antics and interactions within family groups was a delight. The tour exceeded expectations, largely in testament to my guide Gusti who went above and beyond to ensure I was happy and comfortable at all times, and who offered to take photos of me against the stunning backdrops (very important, as I’m a solo traveller!). Thanks so much, Gusti :) I would absolutely recommend this tour, particularly if you are short on time here or just want to see what’s outside of the bustling town centre. I even enjoyed the drives between tour stops - there is truly beauty lurking in every corner of this spectacular district.

I felt rushed the whole time. The guide did not even give us the option to change so we could go in the waterfall. Also, at the temple he asked if anyone wanted to go in, but his demeanor told us he didn’t want any of us to because it would mean he has to wait. Just overall you could tell during the whole trip that this man did not want to be there. That energy made it an uncomfortable trip.

This was such a fun tour. From the waterfall to the monkeys to the rice fields and the temple it was all spectacular. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the monkey temple and the swing at the rice fields. Our guide was amazing, informative and very attentive. He showed us some hidden gems we likely would never have found on our own and made the day even better than we could have asked for. We would recommend this tour and our guide to everyone.

A really great day out for anyone wanting to visit the major attractions near Ubud! Our guide was very knowledgeable. He let us go at our own pace but was always there to offer advice and answer questions.

Monkey forest was very interesting and rice fields gorgeous! Coffee plantation and lunch spot fad panoramic views.

Good tour for getting a feel of the Ubud area. Eddy our tour guide and driver was excellent and knowledgeable. He is easy to talk to and made the tour personable Recommended for people having their first experience in the tropics.

Big thank you to Dewa for being so helpful, kind and for sharing his knowledge during the tour. He was super cool considering the heavy traffic. My fav part was the Tegalalang rice terraces, beautiful nature, amazing landscape. . I didn't like the waterfall, too touristic and nothing exciting to see. I would had skipped that and view more rice fields. Overall it was a fun day but during the high season get ready to be stuck in the traffic for hours.

It was a nice trip. Our guide Yansu told us a lot about the local culture and traditions. Would recommend.

I went on this trip yesterday with a small group and our guide, Dewa. Dewa was friendly and kind, and the destinations on our tour were great, and with enough time at each. Dewa shared some cultural stories with us at Tirta Empul, and explained the rice terraces and offerings. It was all fascinating to learn. I’d recommend any tour with Dewa.

I did this tour with my partner. Our guide Patu was excellent, knowledgeable, great English and camera skills. He knew all the tricks - I had a monkey jump on me and start to open my backpack and Patu was great at getting the monkey off. He even took us to this incredible (and cheap) lunch spot that we would have never found otherwise. The one thing was that we booked through the app which said that our entrance fees were covered but we discovered the app was wrong and we had to pay entrance fees - still cheaper than booking through another provider. Take cash everywhere! Also driving time to Ubud from Seminyak or Kuta can take 1.5-2 hours so be prepared.

We had an amazing time with our guide Gusti. He gave us a lot of interesting facts and stories. As well he knows the perfect secret spots for spectacular views and pictures! It was a great day and we can recommend the tour and especially our guide!

All the places that we visited were amazing, so good to learn about the Bali culture and Gusti is a great and gentle guide showed us everything, telling history and teaching a feel worlds in balinese.

Our tour guide Topan was very friendly, flexible and well organized. It was a pleasure having him as our guide for the various sites that we visited. He even shadowed me at the Ubud Art Market when I shopped, which was a very kind gesture. Had a great day and great experience.

Had so much fun on a different tour I booked a second one! Even had the pleasure of having Gusti as my tour guide again! We went to the rice fields which unfortunately due to celebration later that week, the rice was cut so missed out on the beautiful streams of rice but was still lovely to see. After the rice fields we went to see a temple which was stunning. The history and workmanship in creating these beautiful places is inspiring. The monkey forest at the end of the trip was such a highlight. Seeing monkeys and human coexisting is so fascinating. Definitely a must do.

I was looking for a group tour that was a good fit for solo travelers, and this was great! Bello was a fantastic guide—he knew the best times to visit incredible spots, and he helped by taking awesome pictures. From pick-up to drop-off, this was a convenient, fun way to see amazing parts of Bali.

Booked this tour as a last minute activity the night before with trip guru. Got collected at hostel and was joined by 3 lovely fellow tourists. Komang our driver and guide was absolutely amazing. So knowledgable and a great photographer to boot which is always handy when you’re travelling alone! Thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the tour and would highly recommned

I traveled solo to Bali and I wanted to see as much as possible in a short period of time. I booked my tours with Trip Guru because I didn’t get penalized for traveling solo, $28 USD for one person is very reasonable. I had the pleasure of having Aliq as my guide and he was amazing. He took awesome photos to memorialize my trip, he got us to and from safely, and he took time to explain why certain rituals are done a certain way. He really went above and beyond to make sure everyone was enjoying the tour. Also, this is great way to meet other solo travelers. I can’t wait to book trip guru for other destinations.
