Amazing experience. From choosing your design & every step of the process there was hands on help & explaination from the truly talented hosts. All are qualified silversmiths, with a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend doing this 3hour experience if you are in Ubud. Not only a great experience but you get to take home your handmade piece. We arrived 20 minutes late due to traffic and our southern Bali origin. It took us about 3 hours to reach the class. Upon arrival, we were a bit worried about where to go since no one greeted us. However, my cousin started walking up these steep steps, and we followed her, realizing we were on the right track. The class instructor greeted us warmly. I explained our tardiness, and he was understanding. This hidden gem nestled within the hills turned out to be a true gem. Since there were only four of us in the class, we were given extra time and personalized attention. The welcome drink was delicious and refreshing. We were also shown a few books with recipe suggestions. We chose a three-hour session that provided us with 7 grams of silver, with the option to purchase more. We all agreed to buy more silver to create beautiful pieces. The instructors were incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. The lead instructor shared fascinating history about Bali with us. One of my favorite things about him was his love for animals. He rescued 14 dogs and cats, and they currently live with him. We had the pleasure of meeting two of these adorable animals. Overall, our journey to the class was long, but our experience was truly amazing!

The making of Jewellery was great. But it is not in the area of Ubud centre about 1 hour drive out. Go to Ubud town centre silver class. Also it was so much cheaper. The guys doing our class were amazing.

Really enjoyed this authentic Bali experience. We were a little surprised to find the location was quite a trip from Ubud but a fun & scenic taxi ride. We were greeted with a lovely cold drink & choice of items that we could make. The entire process was stress free & easy. It was great doing something completely different & we would recommend this trip.

Went for the 3hour class, there was only the 3 of us there with two people helping us. We made some great rings and earrings. I was helped a lot by my guide, but we got to make everything we wanted. My teen son really loved it.

Absolutely loved this. The setting is so beautiful and peaceful - right out in the middle of the greenery of Ubud, away from the busyness of the town. The jewellery instructors were very friendly and patient, with excellent English and great ideas to help us choose what jewellery we wanted to make. We travelled from Legion to do the 1.5 hour class; it’s a 2 hour trip to get there so we didn’t think we would have enough time to do the 3 hour class. If we were staying closer to Ubud, we would definitely have done the 3 hour class. We were so happy with the jewellery we made, the setting and the whole experience! We would definitely do this one again and highly recommend!

We were assisted by very talented staff in making the most beautiful pieces of jewellery this arvo. My partner and I took our 2 kids ages 14 & 9 for this experience today. Though my hyperactive 9yo gets bored super quickly and is not patient at all, he was able to keep himself occupied with their very friendly pet dogs and open yard, whilst my partner and the assistant (who was very patient) finished off his incredible piece for him to take home. Highly reccomend. We did have trouble finding this place but only because it was absolutely pouring rain. Despite being super soaked, the experience made it worth it. 🙂

Our time with Ubud Silver Class by Genuine Bali Experience (GBE) was unlike any other! Our host and instructors Gande & Anhi were so detailed in their approach, extremely patient with myself and my partner and just gave an overal warm and welcoming feeling. The family run and owned business is nestled in a beautiful forested and calm area with two cute and friendly dogs. Plenty of surrounding activities to partake if you wish - traditional cooking and painting lessons. This is definitely a must visit and recommend the 3hr package as this is the best valued package for sure. Thanks again and will be back hopefully for more!!! Sam & Jess

Met by a welcoming atmosphere with welcoming people! Having this experience and education was so much fun and walking away with a nice ring made by myself and my wife as we celebrate our honeymoon. It’s really a unique experience. Also find out out that they offer so may other stuff to do was cool. Really worth it.

We had loads of fun with this class. And the instructors are phenomenal. They also offer a lot of different experiences in and around Bali. I highly recommend speaking with them for such.

We booked this due to the weather turning ugly and wanted a family day out of the rain. About 40 mins out of Ubud central the location has some nice rice fields along the way. We were greeted by the owner Yandy and he was extremely welcoming, relaxed and spoke great english. He set us up with our designs and off we went with his artisan staff. We did the 3 hr class and the grounds, ambience, staff and experience were perfect. Then at the end just to top it off you get to come away with a custom souvenir of high quality! Great day, great people! Special mentions to all staff that helped but Randy was great fun and a skillful operator. Thanks so much!

We had a great time. The attention to detail from the three lovely young men who worked with us ( 6 middle aged women with no experience) was outstanding - as was their patience. It was definitely worth the drive. We were the last group booked in for the day and they gave us so much additional time to make sure we finished our pieces. The value for money was undeniable.

I went with my sibling, and we booked 3-hour sessions that turned out to be a wonderful experience. The staff we worked with were truly lovely and so kind. My sister picked a challenging design, but they were very supportive and did their best to help her create her perfect pendant. Our guide was straightforward and took us through each step, making it easy for us to do it ourselves. We really enjoyed the experience and can't wait to come back if we visit again!

A great experience for the 4 of us on holiday . The ring has turned out much better than I could have thought and much of the work is done by myself . (Except the bending of the ring and sealing the ends that needs an expert ) and a great price for a silver ring !

We visited here for our 25th Silver Wedding Anniversary. It was an excellent experience. You are involved in every step of the jewellery making experience. We designed a ring and pendant with a ruby in each. We had enough silver left over from our 14g to make a second ring. The staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Had a wonderful morning in the pottery making my Christmas Wreath. All the necessary equipment was supplied plus lots of guidance and help. Nice way to spend some ‘me’ time as well as an introduction to another hobby. I’m hoping the kiln gods are kind!

It’s my second time here. We stay super far from this place but still choosing to come back here because I still love my ring from 2 years ago. The way here is beautiful, this place is like a hidden treasure :) highly recommended, very skilled artist!

My husband and I chose to do the silver making class & coffee plantation/rice terraces tour. Olen picked us up at our hotel and brought us around in his car. Olen was wonderful & super knowledgeable. He explained to us the process with the rice terraces, making rings, and also any questions we had about Bali! The silver making class was so cool! We loved the idea of making something and using it in style; so making rings was on our list of things to do. The people helping us were so helpful and kind, showing us specifically on what to fix on our rings, helping us shape, file, and clean our rings. This tour was so great, we highly recommend adding this tour on your list!

We were the only ones there so it was very individualised for the four of us. We received 7 grams of silver each and designed our own rings. 3 of us were able to make 2 rings each. Great venue and lovely and cool! It was my birthday and splashed out with a pearl in my sun ring.

This was an amazing experience, the staff was extremely patient and kind. A great experience that I would recommend to all couples looking to try something new.

Representing the UK, I went with 3 lads to this jewellery making class not knowing what to expect especially because it is quite a journey outside of Ubud. But it turned out to be one of the highlights of our time in Ubud. With some lovely tea, we were able to plan and pick our own designs for pendants, rings and piercings. Then we were helped by the really friendly staff using tools to melt and shape a silver ingot to help make our ideas come alive. I couldn’t recommend enough!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience making rings and I had enough left over to make an infinity pendant. They had multiple samples for you to chose from to determine a style of ring you might want to make or they said if you had something you would like to make that you’ve seen on the internet, show it to them so they could tell you whether or not it would be possible to make or not. We both were able to make something more custom and we love how they turned out. It’s really nice to have a memento from your trip that you helped make. They take you through step by step.

If you’re in Ubud and not doing this silver class, you’re seriously missing out on some magical metal madness. I came in with zero jewelry-making skills and left with a handmade ring that actually fits and doesn’t look like a sleep-deprived raccoon made it. Major win since the jetlag was kicking in big time. You get to choose your design, shape it, hammer it, polish it, and watch it transform from a nugget of silver into wearable souvenir.

I had an amazing time during this class! The instructor was very thoughtful in helping me bring my idea to life and let me use my own stone for the project. This is a great class for anyone wanting a hands-on experience and one-of-a-kind souvenir!

Very understanding after a slight mistake from my side, called them and they still us come the same day even though about an hour after my booking.

I combined the silver jewellery making class with a farm cooking class and the best day out while in Ubud. My day started with a tour around the local food market before going to the cooking class where I meet up with the rest of the group. We were shown around the farm and were asked to pick some produce to use in our cooking. We made 2 entrees, 3 main courses and one dessert. With the vegans and vegetarians making different dishes. After lunch my driver took me to the silver making class. I had already decided I wanted to make a pair of earrings but still had enough silver to make a ring as well. I throughly enjoyed the process of making these pieces and will have something special that I made to remember my trip.

This was an excellent experience where I learned so much and was treated with such kindness. The silver included was plenty to make a nice piece of jewellery. I wish these folk every success for this little business. The location and setting was fantastic.
