we will taking you to kintamani to lookout the crater lake of the active volcano Mount Batur. Our guests often say it’s the most stunning view in Bali!
this is our starting point we are ready to start riding a bike. Before we start, you will choose a bicycle and try to make it comfortable in cycling. After that our guide will provide an explanation about bicycles and several rules that must be obeyed on the tour
We travel mainly along small village roads and almost entirely downhill. You’ll enjoy the stunning Balinese rural landscape as it should be enjoyed without the hassle of other tourists. Our aim is to show you a Bali that other tourists only dream of: untouched by tourism. We stop off at several points of interest throughout the route, including a large temple and a traditional Balinese home. We stop at lush rice paddies and give you plenty of photo opportunities, especially during our short walk through a rice field during which, if we are lucky, we will see farmers harvesting rice.
Lunch, Balinese food. And mineral water. We also provide for those of you who are vegan, vegetarian, meat lovers. dessert Ice cream or Balinese fruits.

We booked this experience based on a recommendation from a friend who told us it was one of their favorite days in Bali, and the tour completely delivered! From start to finish, the Amara Bali Family Team was very well-organized, and every single stop was thoughtful and well-planned. Our guide, Wayan, was fantastic: knowledgeable, patient, and welcoming. Thanks to him, we learned so much about true Balinese culture, spanning everything from schooling and religion to traditional ceremonies and everyday family life. During our bike ride, we were even able to stop by a local temple, a school, and an authentic family home. The highlight of the trip was how truly local it felt. We traveled along quiet, small village roads surrounded by stunning rural landscapes, allowing us to enjoy the scenery exactly as it should be, without the hassle of other tourists. To top it all off, both breakfast and lunch were absolutely delicious! If you want to experience a side of Bali that is genuinely untouched by tourism and something most travelers only dream of seeing, we cannot recommend this team enough!
Our taxi picked us up and took us for breakfast at a local warung. This was extremely tasty. Firstly we were driven to a coffee plantation where we were given various samples of coffee and tea including the famous Luwak coffee. We were then taken to Mount Batur where Kadek (our guide) gave information on the area. We then picked the bikes up for the start of our ride. Be aware that this ride is extremely easy. It is all downhill on easy mainly traffic free roads. We stopped at a temple and also a local village house. Both were extremely interesting. We then arrived back at the local warung for a good lunch. All in all we really enjoyed the ride with a good guide. Highly recommend it.
My family and I did a mountain bike tour in ubud with Agus (guide) and Putu (driver). It was the highlight of our Bali vacation. Agus was funny, curious and could converse with us in good English. The information he gave us during the tour was fun and the ride down in mountain bike was great. If you have one thing to do in Bali to see temple, rice fields, coffee plantation and the country, do this. The breakfast and lunch that was served in a family restaurant was also very good.
We are a family of 5. This is our first experience doing a cycling tour and we really enjoyed this experience and learned a lot about Balinese culture. The cycling route is very easy because downhill the guide is very patient and not in a hurry. ended at a restaurant in Ubud treated with Balinese food. Thanks a lot for the great organization.
Our family of four 2 adults and 2 children 14& 10 year olds enjoyed this great day trip. The guide was very informative, great just having us and the guide, lunch was very good too. We loved it
This is a great tour that lets you see the best part of Bali - the part with no tourists. Even though it was raining for most of this tour, Kadek our guide never lost his positivity, kept our safety his top priority and was supported by a team who were always on hand to assist with traffic. Although the ride is long at 1 1/2-2hours, it is almost entirely down hill and takes you through some of the most picturesque settings that make you feel like you’re the first to see it. It’s the 2nd time I’ve done a tour like this and would happily do it again.
This easy downhill riding tour with our guide Ikarak and team was amazing! The tour was so well planned and organised, even the rain was not an issue! Lovely people, interesting and informative guide and lovely food and coffe to top it up! The experience of riding down the backstreets of Ubud and surrounding countryside was like a dream that one doesn’t want to wake up from. Our kids found this also easy (10 & 13) - the roads are downhill so that it’s not really a workout, more like drifting while sitting down. Very grateful, highly recommend it.
This was an experience, riding through country roads & learning about their way of life. Would recommend this if you want to learn more about their way of life
we had a wonderful day with this company, very informative and friendly guides. Beautiful views and delicious food. we enjoyed an easy trip through the countryside in Ubud I highly recommend it.
We had a fantastic experience with Kadek. His English is very good, the trip itself is well organized and varied. Exactly as described. We highly recommend taking a downhill cycling trip with Kadek.
These guys are fabulous. I learnt so much from them and they were patient and kind and extremely respectful. The tour was fabulous, food was great, ride was hot but easy. They ensured our safety all the way and gave us time to look at things and learn about their culture on the way. Lovely greeting from the family compound we visited and amazing, funny children. Thank you so much for taking us on your tour. We loved it so much. Suksma Matur. 🙂
There were 3 of us that did this ride.. Two over 70's and mid 60's. We were picked up at our hotel in Nusa Dua at a time that we negotiated. ie a little later. There was only one stop to pick up another couple in Ubud. We then went to choose our bikes. The bikes were all in good condition, but could do with more air in the tyres. I suggest if you plan to do this when at home bring cycle pants with you to were and cushion you on the seat. Once we had our bikes we took of downhill. The two guides were great and very careful for our safety. It was so easy to ride downhill. First stop was at a place where the had swings out over the rice fields and a flying fox. Then Pukuh village at a Traditional Balinese home. The family welcomed us and we learnt a lot about family traditions from the Guide Kadek. Then on the bikes downhill to a Village Temple. After the temple it was downhill to the rice fields. It was fabulous riding through a village, with the local kids putting out their hands for hi 5 and the people saying hello, as we biked past. After the rice fields I decided to end my bike ride due to bruised tail bone from cycling in Sanur the days before. I was picked up by the bus and taken to the Waring for late lunch. The others arrived about 20 mins later and said I got of at the right time as it was uphill for the next part. There was also our friend who couldn't ride a bike so she came for the ride and stayed with the driver and still enjoyed the scenery. We had done Electric bikes prior to COVID and both of us said this one was the best. Definitely recommend it. All 3 of us said later it was the high lite of our trip. Thanks Kadek and your family.
Coffee tasting and jungle tour was so enlightening. The rice fields were beautiful and hearing about the harvest was eye-opening. Such excellent service and great connection effort made with our group which was a mix of teens to our 80 year old dad. Seeing how people lived was humbling and inspiring. Delicious meals. Highlight was the route - 85pc downhill and lovely views of nature and farms. Thank you 😊
I can highly recommend this tour! Kadek and his team are so professional, friendly and knowledgable. Their equipment is great and this is the perfect experience to get away from the touristy areas and get a glimpse at real Balinese life and their incredible culture. There were 12 of us and the trip was managed seamlessly but make sure you have a full day set aside if you are doing it from Bingin/ Uluwatu given the drive in and out and you not wanting to rush it. Definitely do this tour if you want to get a taste of real Bali.
Kadek was a very hospitable and knowledgeable guide. We had a great time and learned a lot about Balinese culture. The western breakfast was alright but the Balinese lunch was fantastic. Certainly recommend ordering the Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng. During the ride we felt very safe with the guides stopping traffic at times to keep us safe.
Love Kadak and organization of everything. Took us through rice paddy fields on an easy cycle great communication.
Kadek is such a friendly, kind and informative guide. We had a fabulous time and learned so much about Balinese culture, family and lifestyle. I’ve been to Bali 7 times, and wish I had done this every time!! It’s a really easy ride…almost all downhill, and through some beautiful scenery. We loved the tour of the coffee plantation, and the tasting!!! The tutor ended with a delicious lunch and Kadek couldn’t have been a better host! Full disclosure…I came off the bike…my own stupid fault (trying to put my water bottle away whilst cycling is apparently not recommended ) Kadek was so concerned and has even contacted me since to make sure I am ok. Just a nasty graze…and I STILL want to do this tour again!!
We had a pick up from our hotel by 2 guys from bali natural cycling tours. During the way to the starting point kadec was telling a lot of interesting things about Bali, the balinesian culture and the traditions. It was really nice to meet him and his collegue. We drove first to the Luwak coffee plantage, where we had a light breakfast and some tea or coffee. After this we drove to the starting point, unloaded the bikes, get some instructions and then we really start the tour. Via the tour we stopped at several points of interest, rice fields, ogogo (balinesian tradition before nyepi), real balinesian house, temple and some more ricefields, but kadec was telling a lot of nice information about everything where we stopped. At the end of the tour we stopped for a real nice balinesian lunch. So if you are in doubt to do the bike tour... I say don't doubt just go! Enjoy your tour.
