Try Diving In Manta Point - Nusa Penida

We had a great dive trip with Neptune Scuba Diving, which was extremely well coordinated by the friendly team at Neptune. They were proactive in communicating with us, from arranging hotel pick up and drop, to doing a refresher dive, then providing a wonderful day long boat dive experience. Neptune’s facilities are excellent, in a modern building with their own beautiful dive pool and clean toilets/showers. All aspects of the dive are well planned, and catered for in a small group setting, in our case the two of us having our own dive guide, Herry. The dive sites, while busy, were great, with lots to see, such as Manta and we got lucky and saw Mola Mola, woohoo! We dived at Manta Point and Crystal Bay, which had great visibility. A big thanks to the Neptune team, who are very friendly and professional, and a special shout out to the amazing Herry, the Mola Mola whisperer!!

The company and the team made it very comfortable the whole time. I couldnt have asked for more ticking this off my bucket list. They even handed out sea sick pills which I was thankful for. The spots we went to were great the manta rays were awesome i even found nemo. I would definitely recommend this to others

Top notch Dive Company. Professional standards shone through, from initial enquiry to completion of a days diving. Great facilities, helpful and attentive staff and delicious lunch/snacks provided. Top marks for the sustainable approach to lunch boxes, cutlery and the like. Would recommend this company in a heartbeat. To the side, saw the Manta rays, lots of turtles, endless coral, amazing fish .. and all in warm waters.

Wonderful experience, even my partner who can’t swim, who’s never scuba dived had the best time. We saw the manta rays, sea turtles, all sorts of tropical fishes and corals and so much more. Would definitely recommend all 3 ocean dives. We both had excellent instructors. Adi for my partner who was very professional, kind and patient, and mine was incredible though I sadly can’t remember his name!!! A massive thank you to both and others at the facility.

They are the best company yo go diving with at Bali. Our buddies Noe, Robert and two others ( whose names we couldn't get as we were too apprehensive) were very very good, always on the lookout for us and extremely helpful. In fact the entire team is very reliable and one can go diving with them without any concern. The gear was in excellent condition too. Food and drinks were provided. And almost no time was wasted. We completed 2 dives quickly. Excellent pictures were also clicked by them on request. And Julian was too good at responding without delay at any time of the hour. So go for it with Neptune if you want to experience SCUBA diving!

From the very first phone call, Julian was able to answer every question I had. He was prompt with replies, he explained everything in detail and was very professional and friendly. When my grandson and I arrived at the dive centre we were both nervous, however Julian’s team managed to calm our nerves and make us both feel comfortable and safe. Nothing was too much for any of the team. All the equipment was clean and in great condition. The food they provided was more than enough. There was really nothing more they could’ve done for us. I highly recommend Neptune Scuba. I will definitely be returning to do my dive certificate 😊

From start to finish we loved our experience. The staff at the HQ are very kind and accommodating, and our instructors were super knowledgable and took us to 3 amazing dive spots. We saw tons of fish, mantas and turtles, plus received GoPro videos afterwards which we love. Would recommend them to anyone, thank you Neptune!

This dive team earns 5 stars in every respect. From the first moment on we felt welcome in this stylish dive centre with its impressive transparent pool. We went to Nusa Penida and Padang Bay and had unforgettable dives in both places. Everything is well organised from the pick-up at the hotel to an individual water bottle for everyone, fruits and self-made cookies on the boat to donuts and cool drinks at the return to the centre. There is one guide for two divers, he gives an informative briefing already in the centre and guides you through the day. All guides are very nice and friendly and foremost professional. Safety goes always first and we felt safe at every moment with them, even when n almost uncontrollable current. We had our own equipment which they took extraordinary care for. Thank you for that. Last but not least we want to express here our gratitude for the chance of getting to know three gorgeous, very open and generous people, Fino, the manager and Joe and Julian , the owners. I have enjoyed my dives,for all the rest : pick up from hotel ,coffe muffin breakfast ,hommade lunch,towels,dive equipment,boat,refreshments :THEY ,very well organized and very profesional !

I did the intro scuba diving course with Neptune and my instructor Gracia was fantastic. Nothing was rushed and when we did the practice skills in the pool I felt really at ease. When we got out to sea it just got better. The marine life around Nusa Penida is fantastic so many different fish and coral, and sea turtles. Gracia did a great job with my GoPro as I wanted to concentrate on the dives, and we saw so many fish. Thoroughly recommend the guys at Neptune Diving.

To all the amazing scuba diving enthusiasts, this was my second scuba dive of my life and Neptune is a great team to collaborate for your diving trips :D Overall a great experience on customer service, from the start Yoga and team were quite helpful providing relevant information for me to choose the right package. On the day of the dive, I got to meet the larger Neptune Scuba team and wonderful family that owns the show, Julian & family. One of the highlights for the trip was I got to meet the newly added member to Julian & family, JJ , an awesomely cute boy who had his own first swim in the pool the same day :) On the day of the scuba dive, the team was helpful in setting me up with the basic equipments and pool training needed for the actual Scuba dive. I must mention it is very much needed and was of utmost help for a novice to actual scuba dive like me. The breathing techniques and getting used to the equipment under water is very much needed and am happy team has a full fledged pool to make divers ready. We left for the port, which was 5/10 min. away from Neptune office and then were taken to the scuba site via a speedboat that took 40 minutes. Frankly, the current was stronger than the previous dive experience I had in Thailand - Phuket Rakh Noi/Yoi. We had two dives, one Manta Point and other was SD point(hope that is what it is called). Manta Point was awesome with great experience of swimming with Manta Rays, not 1 or 2 but atleast 10+ and is an experience worth remembering. SD Point is a site for corals and had amazing encounters with various fishes, corals and also Turtle. My diver, Gede (Good Day) was very humble and supporting throughout my dive. Frankly I am not much of a swimmer and he was very patient and supportive in all dives with also some great pics. A great experience, with a bumpy ride to locations on choppy waters and spending time with Mantas :)

With all the dive shops in Bali it is tough to pick the right one. We are so glad we chose Neptune. All the reviews are spot on. They are an Amazing Dive Company. From the initial e-mail with Yoga to the morning we walked through the door, they made us feel like family. My husband is PADI certified and I am not. I was a little apprehensive about diving after a bad experience in Hawaii, but everyone at Neptune took great care of me. Our first day was diving Nusa Penida with Funny an Augus, we had an incredible day, I felt safe and relaxed the entire time and the diving was incredible, suba diving with the manta is something I will never forget. We were so happy that we had already booked a second day with them to Padang Bai. Gracia was my instructor for the day and again was not disappointed at all. She was amazing with me and again the diving, while different here was still quite impressive. Thank You Julian and the entire team at Neptune. We will see you again when we return to Bali

Neptune SCUBA diving is a must! Picked us up on the morning for discover SCUBA in their cool branded van. We arrive at the centre and greeted warmly by everyone and offered a drink (Water, coffee, Tea). A modern, clean, cool and quirky facility with a reception, shop, pool and bar. We were quickly introduced to our dive masters and the owner, Julian. We are very confident divers although have never bothered to get our certification. They recognised this quickly and minimal time was wasted in the pool. To say Julian was the owner and had plenty of staff available to allow him to relax, he was at the forefront of the very personable service. His professionalism, friendliness and amazing knowledge of Bali diving was evident straight away. He completed our briefing and we were buzzing to get diving! Before we left they also provided travel sickness tablets which was great. The start to the day was brilliant, and it got better from here on in! We travelled 5 mins to the boat, with our friendly and again personable dive masters. The boats are small with no thrills although the dive groups are also minimal. No thrills are needed as this is all about the diving, and maybe the food haha! The first dive was at Manta point as we dived with as many Mantas as we could count. An amazing experience with mantas 5x the size of me. After the first dive we had our own personal bottle of water with our name on for the day as well as a pot of watermelon and cookies, which again was a nice touch. Our second dive had amazing corals and sea life to see in a beautiful location, our dive master guided us brilliantly to some amazing spots, After our second dive we were given our lunch which was rice with egg and chilli, it was beautiful! Our third dive was a drift dive and was just outstanding. Bright coloured corals and turtles everywhere without even having to kick your fins! A fantastic way to finish the dives off. We then headed back to the centre where we had fresh doughnuts to finish the day in style. A relaxed finish where you can sit and chill in the centre with a drink and the people you have met on the dives. We paid for a go pro for the day and took our own which was great as we got our own shots and some great videos/photos of us diving. Well worth the money!! They transfer you the footage there and then so you can post it to social media if you like. They also transfer it you through google drive. An amazing company and an amazing experience! This is not a huge company where you are just a profitable customer. You are valued and the service is personable and professional. When we’re back, we hope to see the elusive Mola Mola!!

Since the time I made the booking till I landed in Bali, the team had been so welcoming and encouraging. They went over and beyond to make my honeymoon trip memorable. A special thanks to Julian for all his sincere efforts. I never felt like a beginner scuba diver with the training I had at their dive centre. The trainers Anga and Mouly were wonderful, they knew how to handle first timers and made the entire experience memorable. I would definitely visit neptune scuba diving again if I ever come to Bali.

We were lucky to get in having only booked the day before! There were only 4 of us on the trip, so we each had our own guide. We had the beautiful and bubbly Gratzias, who was very knowledgeable and spoke great English for us Aussies! First stop was manta point and we saw HEAPS of big, beautiful Mantas. At one point we were surrounded by three! It's pretty crowded with a fair few divers around, but at least it's peaceful under the water and because visibility is about 10-12m, you can look around and not see anyone. We did two other dives and crystal bay was definitely the highlight of the two, with warmer water, great visibility, breathtaking corals and huge variety of fish. We were even lucky enough to spot a pod of dolphins between dives! Crew was great and had everything ready between dives, captain knew his way around and the food provided was good (they even accommodated food allergies!) Highly recommend

I went to Neptune for snorkeling in the beginning as I cannot swim. After I discussed my concerns, Joe arranged a swimming pool lesson for me at no charge. I feel a bit shamed as it took 3 hours for me to build the confidence in water. But step by step, I overcame the fear of sea and enjoyed a few trips of snorkeling and even a few discovering scuba divings. (Although I have to mention to non-swimmers like me that confidence in water gets built and destroyed over time as part of the learning curve, so be patient) Bali can be a bit challenging to continental people as the waves and sea sick due to time on boat. I had my own private coach Funny all the time to ensure my safety. Although he sometime laughed at me but I am grateful for his devotion of attention. And he can take good photos. Good atmosphere in the center to greet and meet other divers. And very friendly staff. I do have one thing a bit bothering me, which is when locals say the sea is the big toilet. I hope not.

I did my advanced open water course with this group. Amazing group of people. Their dive shop is 10/10 and their personnel are 12/10, easily. They were extremely safety conscious while at the same time making sure I had fun. I’d dive again with any of them in a heartbeat.

Wanted to try scuba diving for the first time. Searched TripAdvisor for the highest rated dive center in Sanur. Found the guys at Neptune. After talking to Yoga, the trip organizer, I decided to book 3 dives at Nusa Penida and Manta Point. At the day of the dive we started out at the Neptune Dive Center. A friendly and cosy place with a bar and a training pool. My instructor Steve introduced me to the basics using the training pool. I learned how to communicate under water and how to empty my mask and clear my regulator together with a lot of other stuff. Steve is a very cool guy with more than 10000 dives. A rock solid guy that, at all times, will make you feel safe, even at 12 meters. Before heading out to manta point we had a group briefing, where Julian instructed us in the do's and don'ts when diving at Manta Point. Talked about what we could expect to see. We then headed to the harbor where the fully equipped and super charged dive boat was waiting. After 45 minutes we arrived at Manta Point where the first dive was to take place. Steve was my personal guide and dive master, taking care of safety and filming my every move. He ensured that everything was OK before I was let loose. Before 5 minutes had passed I saw the first large Manta Ray. something I only thought was possible on National Geographic Channel.... They just came coming....One after the other. So close you could touch them. Besides the large Mantas I saw sea turtles, giant puffer fish, octopus and millions of beautiful fish in all size and colors. Steve kept probing the corals and every time he found something interesting he made sure I saw it. Between the dives we where treated with homemade cookies and refreshments. A nice homemade lunch was served before the last dive. My girlfriend did not want to scuba dive, but she was with me all day and was treated as part of the dive group by the guys from Neptune, making sure she felt good at all times. After a day of many impressions we headed back to the dive center where Julian debriefed us and we were served cold beer. We talked about all the things we had seen. Based on the experience with Neptune I have decided to take up diving and will sign up for a diving course when I come back to Denmark. Neptune Scuba Dive were absolutely amazing right from when I booked to the end of the day! The facilitates are very western and the service provided to ensure we divers had THE best experience possible was tremendous. Plenty of info and debriefing regarding dive sites and very good equipment ! I booked 2 dives but ended up doing 3 which they had already pre-ampted so I jad a tabk rrady to go and Neptune went to all lengths to make sure I had photo/video content of my experience. Highly recommend manta point dive site. Incredible!! And highly recommend Neptune Scuba Dive to book your diving experience.

Absolutely wonderful dive centre and customer service. From the start to the finish of the day we were taken care of. All the facilities and dive gear were in great condition. They even had friendly dive centre kittens to hangout with while we went through normal dive/snorkel prep. The dive sites were awesome and we saw a lot of Manta Rays. We also did two other dives with 15-20m vis. Beautiful reefs bursting with life and colours. I lost all my gopro footage and the very kind dive master Dhika Mei shared all his footage from the day with me. I am very thankful to have these memories captured. Thank you to everyone who helped make our dive and snorkel day memorable.

It was very good experience I had and early January. My friend was looking for a place to learn AOW, I need find a place for good dives as well. We have been in Bali for a few times, we always went for a cheaper place. However Neptune is the best place we had in Bali. The stuff is extremely friendly and helpful. They do treat safety issue as the top priority in this diving shop; the equipments they had are all regularly checked, especially air from the tank taste GOOD ;)... We enjoyed our 5 days trip, I had 12 divies with this shop... Thx everyone, we will come back for surfing next time :) ... Cheers...

Great Diving Center! Great staff! Everything was well organizing! They were able to accommodate a last minute request to change the date of the diving trip as i fell sick with a cold. We went 2 days later. It was a great experience. We saw 4 Manta rays and also had a great dive doing drift diving. Highly recommend! 5 Stars! Gede was our Dive Master - He was great and supernice!

This july i used two diving shops in Bali. One from Amed and Neptune. I had a teenager that developed viral and could not attend. One diving shop adjusted the money , this one was not considerate. The water at nusa penida was cold and the dives gave me and my son headache. When i reported it , i was told such is the case during this season and given it is not standard equipment issue, while we have hoodies on rental. Should they not be giving me an option to rent before going in for the dive ?. For lunch we were told we will be getting the most succulent chicken breast with our rice and what we got was shreds of chicken in the rice. I think it is good for beginers as it has a pool facility. One thing to their credit suits and equipment are good. I am surely not going back to this most expensive dive centre in Bali when i go back in september for some more diving.

We went in the Neptune diving center for a 3 dives (discovery), and we wanted to have a good diving experience in the clear waters of Bali. We were prepared to see few fishes, and maybe if we were lucky one manta. The result ? We saw dozens of beautiful Mantas, tortles, thousands of incredible fishes, and so many beautiful underwater places ... It was truly breathtaking, the staff is so awesome, a warm welcoming, and the equipement is modern and perfect. Julian and our diving instructor were really awesome ! We couldn’t dream of a better experience ! Thanks again for everything! Guillaume and Elena.

We had a great experience with Julian and Joe, and we decided to come back again for more! This time with snorkelers and discovery divers! Julian and Joe both took great efforts to design our itinerary and made sure that the safety for our young divers and snorkelers were imperative. I can only recommend diving with Julian and Joe over an over again! They are an incredible team.

Neptune Scuba Diving is one of those few places that I would go raving on about to other people but that's exactly how I heard of Neptune, from a friend who just said call them and they will handle everything. In fact, I didn't even call them, I texted and booked our trip via WhatsApp with co-owner Julian who answered all my questions and concerns promptly and patiently. His friendliness even led me to feel this might be too good to be true but while making payment online I checked out their website and they had all the secure and legit payment options. Mind you this was all done last min as we had only planned to dive the following day. So far so good. Wife was happy as I actually planned part of the holiday. On dive day we were picked up promptly at our hotel (all part of the service including full equipment rental) and driven to the dive centre which was only 5mins from the jetty. The dive centre felt like a mini resort with a gorgeous dive pool, sun deck, tables and umbrellas, clean toilets and facilities. During this time we were served coffee and Romanian cookies, filled forms and checked our gear. We got to know our dive master, had our safety briefing, and learned about our dive profiles. This really set the tone for the dive ahead. It was a relaxing and calming way to start the day. Julian and Jo, the owners, were on hand to give that extra touch of warmth and friendliness. We did three dives around Nusa Penida, Manta Point, Crystal Bay and a drift dive. Having less than 30 dives between my wife and I we heard that Nusa Penida is not meant for beginners but we did not encounter any difficulty. Neptune's policy is to plan the dive accordingly to your level and to keep the groups small and Ang our dive master has over 15 years experience. As with any dive I choose to keep my expectations low when it comes to seeing anything but within 2mins of submerging at Manta Point we saw our first Manta Ray and they kept flying around us. Throughout the rest of the dives we saw a Rock Fish, Nurse Shark, Sting Rays, Barracudas, a diving turtle, an angry looking Moray eel, flounder fish and your usual assortment of sea life. You can't control what you see but we saw quite a bit that day. Do note that the water can be choppy and riding out can be bumpy so do take all your seasick precautions before hand. Lunch, fruit, water, towels were also provided. The boat was small but that's the case for all the scuba boats in the area. There's not much chance to lay out and soak up the sun on the boat but hey even with 3 full dives we got back by 230pm and still had half a day left to enjoy in Bali so I didn't mind at all. When we arrived back to the dive center we were treated to Bintang Beers and donuts and encouraged to swim, sun bathe, chill, lounge, chat and do whatever until we are ready to be driven back. What a lovely way to end a great dive. The owners felt like friends hosting a gathering at their place. Jo, Julian, the Neptune staff and our dive master were warm, accommodating, sincere with their service but also professional in managing the dives and the center. You really are taken care of and it really cannot be any easier arranging a dive with Neptune.

Neptune Bali is not just a dive shop with great dive sites, it's so much more. Neptune Bali is a dive shop with only the best of the best people as staff, it's a professional place where safety always comes first and Neptune Bali is a home. Not only for the 5 rescue cats living there, but for everyone. After I spend 2 days there I already felt at home and it was sad to leave. Everyone single person working at Neptune are kind, welcoming and more like a friend or a small family than a stranger. Everything is taking care of at Neptune Bali. From the moment you step through the elegant shop and into the common area everything is made from scratch by the two amazing owners Jo and Julian. You can feel the nice atmosphere about every single thing from the amazing see trough glass wall in the pool, homemade trays for coffee and the wall where the cats have a house each. The vibe and feeling you get is that you dive with friends (even though you don't know a single one of them), you eat delicious green fried rice on thr boat (lunch included in the price) and then you come back in the afternoon and have a beer 🍻 I will not just recommend this place but I would encourage every serious and adventurous diver to let yourself have the luxury of joining the team at Neptune Bali ❤ Thank you again to everyone, J&J and I will see you next time (hopefully sooner than later) 👌 Love Josefine Tak tak tak tak tak

I've been diving for couple years with about 25 tanks experience among Hawaii, Maldives, Cancun, and California Coast, the fun dives this time with Neptune @ Bali has been the BEST by far. Awesomeness of my experience came from different aspects as follow: Infrastructure: Cleanest dive shop among all I've visited with the mind blowing glass wall pool which you can look through side of the pool just like the "Hippo Pool" @ San Diego Zoo. Coordination: They arranged transportation from my hotel to the dive shop, the driver has always came in early waiting for me to make sure that we are following the schedule given the jammed traffic in Bali Dive sites: I dived with Neptune two days in a row (1 tank @ Manta Pt, 1 tank @ Crystal Bay, 2 tanks @ Tulambum). Diving with Manta never gets old and there are a least 9 of them around the site that I just held tight to the bottom then they would swim over. Visibility was over 100 Ft @ Crystal Bay and the cold water made the best and most colorful coral. The Liberty wreck @ Tulambum is a must, first sight of seeing the over 30 Ft height ship nose compensated the long ride from Sanur. Food: Meals are included and you gotta try the "Green Fried Rice" @ Neptune! Staff: After all, people @ Neptune made this experience extraordinary. Owner of the dive shop - Joe was a very experienced master who's very knowledgeable and never hesitate to pass them along. She really knows how to run her business! I was assigned the BEST dive master - JoJo for the day at Tulanbum. He's been a dive guide @ Bali since 1989 and know the place inside out. In addition to the fish searching, he noted that my buoyancy control was good and eventually turned my 2 tanks fun dives into a peak buoyancy control course which is much better than the one I've taken during AOW certifying. All instructors and staffs @ Neptune are fully loaded with jokes, fun stories and diving insights which I can never hear enough. Lastly, I wanna thank Joe, JoJo, Dongsai, FengFeng, Tanya and many other folks @ Neptune for turning these two days the best and most memorable part out of my entire trip to Bali. 5-star experience. The crew is very friendly and accommodating. The shop is a little resort in itself. I was solo, having my own guide and he was spectacular. The price is VERY reasonable with free transportation to and from your hotel, free snacks, free coffee, and water on the boat. Lunch is provided and was delicious. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this scuba diving company.

Our first impressions of Neptune started out high as we were given prompt replies on WhatsApp with all of our questions as we weren't familiar with the area or services. Julian was great at answering any enquiry and made me feel like they will take care of everything, which then did. With advice on how to get to the dive center from our accommodation we arrived on time and we're greatest by a clean, modern and professional environment in which we were immediately made to feel like family. Julian personally greeted us and helped make my partner and I feel comfortable and safe as we hadn't dived many times before. The dive trip was very well organised and we had a blast diving with manta Ray's, seeing the most fish I've seen in my life as we took in Crystal Bay which felt like we were in an aquarium, and finished with a drift dive which was more challenging but rewarding. The crew made us feel at home and we were treated with respect. After the dive we were able to relax back at the center and observe the family like environment between the staff and the guests as we were all welcomed to join in as they celebrated another staff members birthday. An incredibly professional and welcoming company which made us feel like family. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to go diving in Bali.

We had a really fantastic time today diving with the lovely Aang (aka Khal Drogo) and Johnny from Neptune Scuba Diving. I ticked off a major bucket list event by seeing a turtle - it was so close I could have touched it - we followed it for a while a watched it eating and just chilling out, it was totally unperturbed by our presence. We also saw seven huge Manta rays gliding in a group above us. Johnny filmed a fantastic video which he edited while we enjoyed beer and fresh mango juice and a delicious meal made for us on our return. Highly recommended!

An amazing experience and one I will never forget! Would highly recommend Neptune Diving School. Staff were amazing, so helpful, friendly and attentive. The customer service is out of this world! Collection to and from our accommodation, coffee on arrival both mornings, lunch was supplied both days. Was introduced to some lovely dishes! Outstanding scuba diving sites. Felt very secure and safe at all times. I learnt a lot over the two days. 5 dives in 2 days:-). Neptune really brought my diving skills to the next level. A very successful first dive!!! an unforgettable experience !!! Simple and effective explanations and tank testing in the diving center swimming pool then departure by boat for a great day! We had the chance to see mantas, thousands of multicolored fish, an eagle ray, a turtle and cherry on the cake dolphins on our return trip!!!! The first time I experienced water pulmonary, meet a wonderful teacher, careful teaching made me not worry in the water, also help me to take photos with Manta memento! From time to time asking if the situation is good, also actively looking for underwater wonderful creatures let me explore ~ Dive not to worry about the stomach, there is a delicious lunch, is a wonderful water pulmonary diving experience!
