Trunyan Cemetery, Hot Spring, Penglipuran Village, And Waterfall Tour

Thank you to our guide Budi for an incredible tour. Budi shared his local knowledge, kept us hydrated, provided umbrellas when it started to rain and worked a very long day to ensure we could experience everything the tour had to offer.

This was an amazing tour with such a diverse range of sites visited. From a cemetery with unique burials, to swimming in Batur Hot Springs, a traditional village with lunch in a bamboo forest, and waterfall swim. There were only three of us on the tour and Mooli explained Balinese culture and kept my daughters and I enthralled!

We had a very fun and truly fascinating day with our brilliant guide, Raka. He picked us up from our hotel and was so friendly from the first minute to the last. It's a long day for the guides, but he never rushed us at all. It was like having a day out with a mate. We really enjoyed all four locations (all very different experiences!), and the place he recommended for lunch was incredible (great food and amazing views). Raka is very knowledgeable and answered all our questions about Bali, and he was also just really easy to chat to. He also took lots of great photos and videos for us, which we really appreciate. Finally, we felt very relaxed as passengers in the car, so we both dropped off on the drive back. It was a very memorable day, so thank you! 🙂

My husband and I spent a wonderful day exploring with our guide/driver, Mur. Mur tailored our tour to match our physical abilities (my husband has had 7 knee surgeries). We felt very comfortable in Mur's capable hands from the start. It was fascinating to learn about Trunyan cemetary and the final resting place of its inhabitants' earthly remains. The experience was quite moving. After heading back over the lake by boat, we stopped and had lunch at a mountain top restaurant with a spectacular view. A visit to Penglipuran Village rounded off our day which was fascinating. A big shout out to Muri, whose knowledge and kindness helped make our day so enjoyable!

Fantastic day out with Ariana and Darma! We visited Trunyan Cemetery, the hot springs, and a traditional Balinese house, and every stop was well organized and easy. They explained the history and customs behind Trunyan in a way that made it much more meaningful than just looking around, and the hot springs afterwards were the perfect way to relax. I had a great trip thanks to my guide and driver Moolie. I ended up being the only person on the trip today and Moolie made sure I had everything I needed at each location. The cemetery was a fascinating experience and Moolie had lots of information about the specific practices. Highly recommended!

Our guide "Netra" was very friendly, and arrived punctually to start the day. Communications with him prior to the trip were good, and when we entered the van in the morning there was bottled water waiting for us, which was a nice touch. The activities ran as per the schedule, and each was unique. Truyan cemetery was the highlight for me, as it was so different from anything I've seen in my country. I will never forget it. There were 2 opportunities to swim (1 hotsprings, and 1 waterfall), as well as a beautiful classic Balinese village to explore, and take nice photos. At each stop Netra organised the tickets and told us where to go. He gave some commentary, and was happy to answer any questions. The lunch stop was very good (decent spice levels), and in a very scenic location, perched up the top of the crater rim. At each stop we had sufficient time, and it was really up to us how long we wanted to spend. We never felt rushed by Netra, and we were able to relax on the ride home while he braved the intense traffic! All in all, a great day, and I highly recommend this daytrip, with Netra as your guide.

This tour was such a highlight of our Bali trip. My partner and I have been to Bali many times but this tour in particular was very special. Mur, our guide and driver, was fantastic - knowledgeable, kind and curious. I would recommend to anyone wanting to go beyond the beach clubs and behind the curtain into Balinese culture and customs.

We had an amazing experience today with Wayan Netra, we visited the Trunyan Cemetery where the spirits welcomed us, feeling of happiness and peace, then onto the hot springs and the Tibumana Waterfall. A beautiful day well worth the visit, Wayan was very knowledgeable.

I had been wanting to go to see Trunyan Cemetery for quite some times. I'm glad I finally booked this experience with Eco Bali Tours. My partner and I had a really great time with our tour guide, Pak Putu Ajus. He was very knowledgable, professional, and thoughtful through out our experience. Besides Trunyan, we also got to see the beautiful Tibumana Waterfall, the quaint and unique Penglipuran Village, and we finished our day by relaxing at Batur Natural Hot Springs. Oh, we also took a little lunch break at Grand Puncak Sari. Our tour guide recommended this buffet style restaurant and it did not disappoint! The food selections were plentiful and delicious, and you got to enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Batur and two mountains; Agung and Batur! If you have a little morbid curiosity, this is the one tour you have to book when you're in Bali!

The day trip was a highlight of our short stay. I really nice taste of what Bali has to offer, a long day but worth it. The scenery was fantastic with such amazing rainforest. Our driver and tour guide Budi was excellent. He was knowledgeable, patient, but didn't over do it (he was happy for quite time as well).

My 10 yo daughter and I had a lovely day with Putu as our tour guide, Putu was extremely knowledgeable and well travelled. Putu is a great guide, very accommodating, made us feel truly welcomed in Bali and also has pleasant sense of humour that made the day even more enjoyable. We saw and visited a lot of places at a comfortable, well-paced itinerary. Putu thought us about Balinese culture and customs, showed us local edible plants and plant medicines and even took us to try delicious Balinese food at a local market. Everything was well organised, relaxed, and informative. At bed time my daughter felt mesmerised about the day and told me she could see temples, waterfalls and jungle when she closed her eyes. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely wonderful day with Putu! He is great company for a full day tour, speaks excellent English, and is more than happy to answer questions and share information about Balinese culture. The boat ride across Batur Lake is picturesque, and the visit to Truyan Graves is treated respectfully and with reverence. The Hot Springs was relaxing and not too busy, and a stop for lunch with a view of Mt Batur was spectacular. The visit to the traditional Balinese village was educational and an interesting look into Balinese living, and the final water fall stop was beautiful. In all, it was a great tour, and I would definitely recommend Putu for future tours! 10/10

Budi was absolutely fantastic. Extremely helpful and was a wealth of knowledge on all things Bali, the religion, the culture and an expert on finding the quickest path to all our destinations.

Our day with Putu was fun and fantastic. While the visit to the cemetery might not be a sweet experience for everyone, I found it fascinating. The boat ride felt ethereal. My husband loved soaking in the hot spring waters. Penglipuran Village was picturesque but also quite commercial. Its bamboo forest provided a respite from the heat. We visited Goa Rajo waterfall -- what a stunningly beautiful spot! Putu delighted us with stories and anecdotes and anticipated our every need, for example, providing us with hiking sticks for the trek to the waterfall. It was a long, but absolutely wonderful day in Bali!

We greatly enjoyed the visit to Crater Lake Batun in northern Bali, including the boat ride to the Trunyan Cemetery and the hot spring spa. The area is quite scenic and due to its altitude it has a moderate climate and is where many of Bali's fruits and vegetables are grown.

He picked us up from a different location without any issues and adjusted the schedule to suit our needs. He took us to Kuburan Trunyan, the beautiful Penglipuran Village, and even a hidden waterfall that wasn’t crowded at all—a real highlight! He also dropped us off at our next hotel, making everything smooth and easy. When my friend wasn’t feeling well, he kindly bought her a Yakult—such a thoughtful gesture. Absolutely fantastic tour, highly recommended doing this, the long drive is so worth it to experience a primitive culture, very interesting and beautiful place. Hot Springs and Penglipuran are also must dos. Our driver and tour guide was Dharma Fun Driver, he was awesome and made our trip so much more enjoyable.

My friend and I wanted to do something different than all the other tours we kept seeing over and over again in Bali. We were so thrilled to have "Darma Fun Driver" take us off the beaten track for a day trip we will always remember. The first stop was Trunyan/Terunyan Cemetery which was across a lake by boat. The views were just incredible and the Cemetery was completely unique to anything we had ever seen before. It was then off to Batur hot springs which was an amazing place with ongoing incredible views!! 😍 Highly recommend having a massage by one of the ladies whilst relaxing in the hot springs and enjoying the scenery.. just bliss!! 🫶 We stopped for lunch with more amazing views then on to Penglipuran traditional village. The traditional homes have a variety of souvenirs. Some typical of Bali and others traditional and unique. The people in the village were so sweet and friendly and buying goodies from them is nothing like buying in Kuta which we appreciated. It was a long day with stairs and walking to get to the views and a decent drive to get there and back (Bali traffic will be Bali traffic.) We were so grateful for our driver Darma who took such good care of us, had a wonderful clean car, lots of knowledge and a great sense of humour. Lots of great things to see and well worth the money. Highly recommend.

It was a very long day as we started from Nusa Dua. When booking tour ensure you are closer as for us it was a 3 hour drive to get to the first destination.

Darma fun driver took us to Trunyan Cemetery with a boat already organised for us. Visiting this uneaco site is not for fainted heart but it would be once in your life time experience. Then Darma took us to a beautiful Hot Spring and he organised everything for us (tickets, towels, and lockers). Last visit was a traditional Balinese village, again Darma took care of our tickets and brought us back to Kuta. Such a fun day, thanks Darma

Raka was a great guide/driver and we had a wonderful day. Would absolutely book again with him. No hesitation recommending him for your tour

From start to finish our trip was very well organised. We were contacted the day before by Raka, our driver, to confirm pick-up time, etc. He arrived 20 minutes early, which was great as we were ready, and as we had a long day ahead, we were happy to get on the road. On route, Raka pointed out things of interest and was always happy to take photos and videos when we got to our locations. He was super friendly and helpful, providing water and cold cloths to help cool us down. He drove with care and always checked we were belted in before moving off. Nothing was to much trouble. We visited the Trunyan Cemetrey, the Hot Springs, and Pengilpuran Village. All very interesting in different ways. We were supposed to visit the Tibumana Waterfall, unfortunately, due to a wedding that day we weren't allowed in as we would not have enough time to get to the waterfall. However, Raka took us to another one further up the road. So all was good. On the way back to Canggu, I wanted to take a photo of the sunset, so Raka pulled over and stopped the traffic so I could cross the road and get a good picture. All in all, it was lovely, informative day trip made all the better for having Raka as our driver.

We had an amazing one-day trip exploring some of the most unique and culturally rich places in Bali. The highlight of the tour was definitely our guide — he was incredibly knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and shared tons of interesting facts and local stories along the way. Overall, this trip was the perfect mix of culture, nature, and storytelling. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to see a different, deeper side of Bali — and again, huge thanks to our amazing guide for making it so memorable!

We had a fantastic experience with our guide! We started with a visit to the cemetery, where he explained everything in detail and shared fascinating stories about local rituals and traditions. After that, we went on a really interesting tour through nearby villages, where we learned so much about the local culture. This was an amazing tour! One of the best we had in Bali, from start to finish…Besides the really good itinerary we had a fantastic driver Mur, who was fantastic, gave information on the places we went and accompanied us through the program. He also took us to a fantastic hotel restaurant with a scenic Mount Batur and lake view which also had amazing food which was one of the highlights for us during our tour. Everything about this tour is highly recommended; the tour company with real professionalism, our driver and the itinerary itself.

If you only do one tour in Bali, do this one! The cemetery was an incredible experience, one you may have trouble finding anywhere else! The waterfall had an uncanny resemblance to the world-famous Milla Milla Falls in Australia. As for the hot springs - I could have stayed there all day! Everything came together in the hands of my friendly and accommodating host, 'Darma Fun Driver'.

Putu was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgable and super friendly, funny guy. The experience went for a whole day, very good value for money. We got to visit the mountain areas of Bali and soak in the scenery. We were well taken care of by Putu, he provided water and advice on local customs. His car was clean, cold air con and he was a safe driver. We will book again.

Putu is an amazing guide! He is very passionate about his culture and loves sharing about the places we visited as well as his everyday life. He answered our questions with really interesting, heartwarming, personal stories which we loved! I feel like I understand the Balinese culture so much better now! The places we visited and the stories behind it were already awesome, but Putu's stories really were the icing on the cake!
