Save your money, go with a grab to and from for example Kuta, with the entrance fee included I would have been 4 euro more economical. The issues: initially kept asking to pay him extra the entrance fee even though I had that included and also spoke like 2 hours before with the company about it; he brought us places to have coffee where the owner said if we bought he would get a free one, where they offered us drinks that looked days old; also at Tanah lot kept insisting we go the cafe; then he took a picture of me and the other girl on the tour while not paying attention, I said clearly I do not approve of that, was supposed to be for his family, I don’t care, it’s wrong and truthfully…the other girl was so displeased that left the car with me together since I was the first one brought back. Lastly, the quality of him as a guide can be suggested shortly only by the answer I got to the question how old was the temple: apparently older than him, and he was 50. While waiting for the sunset I googled the history with the other girl.

Itinerary
Tanah Lot is an important Hindu temple that dates back to the 16th century. Dedicated to the gods of the sea, this temple holds significance for locals but is now just as well-loved by visitors to the island. It’s not just the temple itself that’s bound to incite wanderlust, but the sweeping grounds and crashing waves as well.

Great tour guide, very friendly and nice
It was very educational, exceptionally beautiful, and easy to be a part of. Adi made sure we were all comfortable and cared for every step.
We enjoyed having our guide Krisna tell us all about the 6 temples. And he took photos so my husband and I have some good pics of both of us. And Krisna was great for conversation getting us from our hotel to the temple and back.
A fantastic experience. Kade was a great guide, personable and extremely knowledgeable The temples are beautiful and the setting is amazing !
Dewa is a great guide. Excellent time, beautiful experience, beautiful sunset, thank you to him for his patience and kindness
The trip itself wasn't that exciting, but we are glad we went. Our tour guide, Yogi was great and he was great not just at telling us about Tanah Lot but about Bali as a whole. When it says small group, it was just our family (2 adults, 2 children) and our friends (2 adults, 2 children) had 1 other adult with them on the trip, so we liked that it felt almost exclusive. Was well worth staying for sunset, but it doesn't need to be 1/2 day (our personal preference) and you could easily visit yourself without a guide.
the temple and view of the ocean was beautiful, thank you to our driver agus who did an amazing job guiding us there!!! heads up though, your shoes may get wet and it’s best to wear shorts if you choose to walk to the water temple.
I wish I'd never taken this tour. The information given to you is completely inaccurate. If you're picked up in Sanur, like me, then it is impossible to reach Tanah Lot by 4pm. The guides and the TripGuru owners know this, but still the information goes out incorrectly. I spent nearly 6hrs in total just sat in the car in traffic. We arrived at 5.30pm instead of 4pm and stayed roughly until 7pm. I didn't get back to my hotel until 9.30pm - too late for any dinner. If I had known this was the reality I would never have booked the tour. The owners of TripGuru need to acknowledge the traffic situation in Bali and update their info so travellers can make an informed choice.
We were five in our group when we booked this tour and we really enjoyed it. It was a very relaxing tour as our guide Agus didn’t rush us and was more than happy to answer all our questions about the history and significance of the temple. He even shared his own personal stories about it, which were great. All in all it was an afternoon well spent and I would recommend it to anyone looking to visit and learn about Tanah Lot. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site for a reason! The sunset was beautiful too!
Terrible experience, 1hour late to pick up and no communication from them, tour not completed as advertised, missed 2 out of 3 temples. Didn’t have a tour guide, had non-English speaking driver, so just pointing and following! When I contacted them to complain got a pack of lies stating tour activities completed and that we had a professional fluent english tour guide. AVOID!
Tanah Lot is a must-visit when in Bali! And if you don’t have much time to spare, I would recommend going on this tour. Our guide Dewa was the BEST! He reached out to us the night before confirming our pick up and was at our hotel 10 minutes before. But he didn’t rush us and told us to take our time. He was so funny, making us laugh and if he didn’t know something, he would Google it and show us what he meant. He went above and beyond!! When we wanted something to drink, he brought us to this stall that sold the best fruit juices. When we wanted to stop for photos, he gamely took them for us. Would recommend going on this tour with him!
I booked the tour and on the day of the tour was notified by the driver who were supposed to come pick me up that he cannot make it because of the traffic - after making me wait for an hour he said I should cancel the tour and rebook for another day. What’s even worse despite cancelling the tour now aviator rejects refunding me for a trip that never happened. Stay away from these SCAMMERS!!!
A magical, beautiful place to visit, stroking the holy snakes, and bring blessed at holy water fountain was great. My driver / guide was very accommodating, and flexible to my needs as a solo traveller.
It turned out that I was the only person and so it ended up exclusively for me alone. In a situation like this, some companies come up with some excuse to cancel the trip, but this tour company , TheTripGuru, did not fail to meet its commitment. Good job. The tour and the guide Santik both were excellent.
We booked the Tanah Lot sunset tour whilst we were staying in Sanur. Our guide spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable, telling us the history of the temple as well as the traditions and ceremonies that take place and knowing which spot was best to view the sunset from. Would definitely recommend this trip.
What a beautiful location and experience. Our driver, Agus, arrived in plenty of time and messaged us to say he had arrived. Did offer to take us to the coffee plantation beforehand but we had already been. It meant we had plenty of time to explore Tanah Lot, enjoy, take photos and do some shopping before heading to the sunset bar for actual sunset. Spectacular views and we are so pleased we took the trip.
Started off badly. Driver was nearly half an hour late and I had already texted him to find out where he was. When he arrived he just said traffic was bad - no apology. Tanah Lot was beautiful but kept losing the guide. We then all sat at a table for a drink to watch the sunset which was great. The guide had said to us that he was going to the toilet. We waited but he didn’t come back so decided to make our way back to where we had left one of the group ( he was feeling the heat ) When we reached the person we had left he said the guide had passed him about 20 mins before and to meet him at the car! Lucky we had made a move or we’d still be sitting at the table waiting for him to come back from the “toilet “ !!! Not good!!!
Tanah Lot Temple is one of the most important sea temples in Bali and is a rock formation next to the south coast of the island of Bali. The rock is known for the pura (Balinese Hindu temple), it is a place of pilgrimage, which is also very popular among tourists and one of the iconic images of Bali. Beautiful temple next to the coast, small and very unique.
