Scuba Diving In Nusa Penida - Manta Point

We booked a 3-dive package but decided to stop after the first dive as we didn't feel entirely comfortable underwater. However, the shop staff and ground operations were excellent. The team was friendly and communicative before and after the dive. They also can assist in transportation arrangement, fresh towels for both the boat and showers, and free drinks at the shop.

Wonderful staff who catered for all skill levels. The dive sites are incredibly busy but that was well managed.

Great experience all around, from beginning to end. We arrived early and had a complimentary drink before being briefed on everything relevant, we were driven to the boat and then taken to Nusa Penida. The boat was nice and had a toilet, in-between dives we had fruit snacks and lunch half way through the day. The group size was quite small which was nice, there were 8 guests in total and we were split into 3 groups, so small groups for each dive which was good, although the dive sites could be a little busy, we were always taken somewhere less crowded by our guide and got to see everything with a little more peace, great work! We saw all the highlights and much more, mantas, octopus, lobster, mantis shrimps, all kinds of puffers and butterfly fish and of course corals. We were a little skeptical before booking of the price as we are backpacking but it was well worth the money. It was a full day, we felt taken care of and had a great guide explain everything we saw, all three dives were brilliant and the dive centre itself had a great atmosphere. Very much recommended, best for anyone who wants to see mantas, but that's not all you will see. Thank you

I can’t recommend Neptune enough. If you’re looking for the perfect way to experience Bali’s unique marine life, this would be the way to go. Our guide, Noe, was very experienced and helpful throughout the entire way. His knowledge and expertise made it all the more smooth and enjoyable. Noe took amazing videos of us during our dives and we got to see such a wide variety of marine life. Neptune was very accommodating with all our needs- providing lunches, water, and gear. They had great facilities at the dive center, and helped us with a refresher the day before our dive. Thank you to Neptune for providing a truly memorable experience!

What an incredible diving experience with Neptune! They’re highly organized and super efficient both on and off the boat. From the moment I walked in, the company knew how to take care of me. From arranging a car pick up for me because I was staying a bit further away in Canggu, to having coffee ready for me at the shop and a non drowsy sea sickness pill (just in case), to doing a refresher dive with my dive master (bc it’s been 3 years since I last went diving), everything was so thoughtfully arranged. I felt safe and taken care of the whole time. The dives were incredible!! We saw so many things from Manta rays to sea turtles, nudi branches, mantis shrimp, moray eels. Their lunch meal was also delicious, and the staff made sure we were well fed and hydrated throughout the entire day. I had the best time, and Neptune is probably one of the best dive shops I’ve ever gone to. HIGHLY recommend!!

Everything was first class. The dive master was excellent and so were the people in the shop who treated me like a king. I would recommend them highly.

My wife and I have been super excited about diving with manta ray’s for a very long time and we weren’t disappointed. Visibility was great and at one point we had 7 mantas swim past in a row. They get very close to you. The next dive site was also very good, again great vis, lots of coral to see, millions of fish, turtles, moray eels just to name a few. Neptune dive company are very organised, picked us at our hotel, their facilities are first rate, because they get all your personal details up front, this enables the crew to have all the equipment ready to go, correct sizes all upon arrival Quick trip to the Sanur to get on the speed boat. The boats are a little tight if you have a full boat like we did. One thing to note- the companies combine together to fill the speed boat up. We had 4 different companies on our speed boat, with some divers just learning to dive. Lunch is provided which was good but the location for lunch could be improved. Lunch was on the island, sitting on a jetty just near the boat. Not very comfortable. The rest of day was very good. Our dive guide was very good at finding lots of interesting things to look out.

If you’re going diving in Bali, Neptune is absolutely the shop I recommend. Thanks to them, we had the best diving experience ever — we got to see both manta rays and a mola mola! Here’s why I highly recommend this dive shop: ⚫︎ Beautiful shop and great facilities The shop is located close to the harbor, with a lovely garden and a pool where we could relax and enjoy drinks by the pool. Their wetsuits were so comfortable that I actually wanted to buy one for myself! ⚫︎ A uniquely comfortable boat Their boat has side walls, which protect us from the wind and sun. Because of that, we didn’t get too tired and were able to fully enjoy other activities after diving. ⚫︎ Professional and friendly staff Nina san, the staff member who handled our booking, replied very quickly and kindly to every message. She resolved all our concerns in advance. Our dive master, Agung san, seems young but he is incredibly professional. He led us safely through our fun dives and amazed us with his ability to spot marine life — we saw a manta on our first dive and a mola mola on the second! All the other staff members were also very friendly, creating a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere. ⚫︎ Charter private boat is also recommended If your budget allows, I definitely recommend chartering the private boat. We chartered it on our second day and were taken to Blue Corner and other less-crowded dive spots — it was totally worth it. The charter fee was very reasonable compared to other shops. At first, we hesitated because their price seemed a little high. But in the end, choosing Neptune was the best decision we could’ve made. We’ll definitely come back next time. Diving in Bali was simply amazing!

Wow, wow, wow! So great! I am a former dive master and I have never seen such an impressive operation. Reception and scheduling crew was so attentive and prompt, the facility is top of line, the owner Julian greeted me personally and gave our dive overview personally. Despite being the height of busy season with dozens of divers of all capabilities, this crew and process was smooth and flawless. Just take a look at photos, etc. Nothing is exaggerated, everything is just as advertised. My guide, Mustikine, is an exceptional diver (I will request to dive with him when I return). Food was great, ever detail of the excursion was thoughtfully considered and attended. OK, I'll stop now, but you get it, this place is great!!

It was a great experience, 3 dives full of marine life. Transportation round trip. Take the seasickness tablet they give you and everything will be fine because speedboat and choppy seas. Overall, worth your money and time as I would do it again. Gede my dive instructor was the best!

I booked with this dive school because of the high ratings on trip advisor and within 20 minutes of booking, a staff member contacted me to confirm details and arrange the day. Despite me being out of area for pick up, they organised everything for me and I was collected early and without issue. The staff were polite, courteous and professional and my DM, Timon, was friendly, kind and made me feel safe. We saw many manta’s at the first dive site, which, despite being understandably busy, was a great experience. Timon took us around the cleaning station and we saw a lone manta close up which was simply wonderful. I only chose to do two dives and the second at Crystal Bay was full of fish and life but with very fast currents. All in all, a fabulous day and great experience, would highly recommend and would dive with Neptune again. Shout out to the lovely cat they have at their dive shop! Thank you guys!

We had the chance to do three dives in Bali with Neptune Scuba Diving, and it was truly an experience we’ll never forget. From the very beginning, we were impressed by the seamless, thoughtful, and professional organization of the entire team. The dive sites were absolutely stunning — we were lucky enough to see manta rays, turtles, lobsters, lionfish, pufferfish, moray eels, a coral snake, a school of barracudas… and so much more. Between dives, we were also treated to delicious food on board, which made the day feel even more special. The team was just as incredible as the underwater world they helped us discover. Loved the Manta Point dive with the manta rays. Excellent! There were lots of divers, but the guides (2 for our group of 4 divers) kept an eye on us to make sure we didn't get lost. Great dive shop. Picked us up from our hotel. Communication via email and whatsapp was superb!! Very responsive. Very helpful. Shop was well equipped and professional. A refresher is available if you haven't gone diving in a while. Guides gave an initial briefing and a briefing before entering the water. Guides were very attentive and alert. Pointed out things of interest, made sure everyone was accounted for. The second and third dives were drift dives and a little bit of a fast current for my liking, but that's just dependent on the day. I would definitely dive with this outfit again.

They sell you the trip as a 7 day 6 night cruise when it is actually just 5 days … The first day we left the harbour at 2pm and the last day we had to leave the boat at 10am. The boat was fabulous and I think it is the only reason i still put 2 stars because it is very comfortable and beautiful. The diving : Half of the dive site really had nothing to offer and should not be part of a liveaboard. The diving team : the guides almost never said hello and barely talked to you , communicated poorly underwater and on the boat. The cruise director : Very bad communication and no flexibility at all , does not know how to speak to client or listen to divers. Basically it would have been better to just do daily dives as this liveaboard do not take you to spécial dive sites . Or just take another company to do it

Gede and his team were excellent dive masters and guides- everyone at Neptune Dive was professional, courteous and helpful. The manta rays at Manta Point were amazing and we also saw many sea turtles! It was a 5 star day and we highly recommend it!

We had an amazing day scuba diving with the Neptune Scuba Diving crew. We saw lots of Manta rays and had the most beautiful dives ever. Gedeh and Jae and the whole Crew were super nice, helpful and highly Professional and experienced. The planning was super easy via WhatsApp. We highly recommend this dive center.

I'm an experienced diver, approaching 500 ocean dives and 40+ years of experience, but the sightings at Nusa Penida were amazing! THis might have been my best day diving ever. The 1st dive was Manta Point and there were at least a half dozen enormous Manta Rays swimming around. The water was a bit murky, making photography a bit of a challenge, but one could see them clearly. The 2nd dive was was Crystal Bay, and the water was as clear as anything that I can remember with beautiful coral and lots of fish. We were getting close to the end of the dive when suddenly,our divemaster, Eddy was gesticulating wildly and zoomed down to 115'. Sure enough, there was a Mola Mola or Pacific Sunfish zooming by. I got some terrific video footage. After a Bento Box-style meal, our 3rd dive was SD Point, and it was a drift dive, and again the water was incredibly clear, and the coral was in outstanding condition. We kept hitting thermoclines as we drifted past the reef from incursions of cold water from farther down the massive wall. One would see the water shimmering and the temps would change noticably. It was actually pretty cool, but I was glad to have taken the dive shop's advice and worn a full wet suit and booties. Eddy was a terrific guide, it was just three guests in our group, and Julia took good care of me at the shop, especially when I needed to make a quick repair to my camera bracket which she fixed with zip ties. The hotel pick up and drop off were smooth, and Neptune Divers was a terrific dive shop for this worthwhile adventure.

Incredible! The Mantas were massive and the guides were fantastic. Great day of diving, highly recommend Neptune!! All three dives were phenomenal and well organized.

The whole experience from start to finish with Neptune was 10/10. The ladies at reception were so helpful with information and advice even before I arrived. Welcomed with big smiles and made to feel like family. Friendly and professional instructors who made me feel safe and at ease during all 6 of my dives. Special shout out to Gede and Koplak who have such an eye for spotting all the wonderful creatures underwater! Cannot reccomend this company enough and I’ll only ever dive with them again when I return to Bali Thank you all so much ☺️

What a great day. Picked up at hotel. Nice ride to dive shop. Checked in and gear sorted. Then short ride to beach where you are taken by small boat out to dive boat then about 45 minutes to Manta point. First dive was amazing. So many Mantas. It’s pretty amazing. Second dive was on opposite side of island. Can’t remember name but very nice. A drift dive. The usual suspects. Turtle. Eels. Colorful fish. Third dive was further down. Current was coming from the east and the water temp dropped 5 degrees and was cold for the suit I was wearing. Nice dive just cold. lol. Overall a great day. Food was good. You get a reusable bottle of water to drink. If that’s not your style, bring your own, just a heads up. Captain and crew are great. Dive master was great. Showed us lots of stuff. Took video of me swimming with Manta. Was fantastic.

Amazing diving experience. Our guide Nauwi was very professional and patient. He found many interesting fish and creatures while diving. We had 3 dives during the day and all were great, especially the mantas! Highly recommend them.

My wife and I were on a cruise to Indonesia and had 2 days on a port stop in Bali. Indonesia diving is famous, so we scheduled 4 dives over 2 days with Neptune — 2 on Nusa Penida, and 2 on Padang Bai. Neptune was excellent, arranging our transport from and back to the cruise ship both days and all the details of the diving so as to make sure we got back on the boat in plenty of time. Dive guides were great— personable and very talented at finding interesting stuff underwater. I got some fabulous pix! And the level of service was better than we’re accustomed to seeing in other parts of the world . These guys prepare, load and unload all equipment for you! My wife and I are experienced divers, but we’re also not as young as we used to be (😉), so we appreciated the special attention which this crew was more than happy to provide! And the diving was fantastic! It was rainy season, so we didn’t expect great visibility, but it was much better than expected. Seeing the many mantas at Manta Point was one of the highlights of my decades of diving. And all the smaller stuff was extremely impressive as well. I highly recommend diving in Bali and especially with Neptune.

Excellent trip! Perfect day. We did a warm up dive in the pool before going out. I never felt rushed or unsafe Got to video each dive. Good was amazing. Staff was friendly. Saw all the fish on the checklist including the mola mola.

This dive shop is legit, I don’t doubt it’s the best dive shop in Bali. I had my own DM, dive briefings were thorough and clear, and I always knew what to expect. The lunch provided accommodated for my gluten allergy and was delicious. It was like we were at a resort, beautiful dive shop and pool, towels, snacks, Dramamine all provided. My DM was very capable and helped me out in a strong down current. Also, diving with the mantas was amazing. The site was crowded but each DM only had an individual or buddy pair so I never got lost and got a lot of great interactions with the mantas. My partner did the discover dive and got a solid pool session and very attentive help from his instructor. I would absolutely dive here next time I come to Bali.

This is the 2nd time I am diving with Neptune Bali, they have really friendly staff and professional team, always provide the good service, hotel pick up welcome drink,dry towel and great guide. Also I am lucky this time to see molamola at this season, worth to come here.

The dive was OK nothing I havent seen before but getting to the dive site was quite scary. Old boats with gas fumes filled the cabin. The dive site have tons of other dive boats so it's a bit dangerous. I could deal with the other divers but the boat ride was bad. They serve warm water so take your own thermos snake are ok Lunch is cold rice with an egg and cold chicken nuggets. I expected more..

best scuba diving service i have ever experience in my life. Mantas were awesome, one was swimming right above my head, literally 1 meter away! and my guide Nauwi had absolutely amazing eye sight, spotted 4 mantis shrimps, one moray eel and other very cool creatures down there even in the rock cracks! I am very impressed by this! service was very detailed, very caring crew team, they offer pick up and drop offs very very on time which was amazing, also offer snacks, brekkie and lunch boxes which all are in form of recyclable tools, very environmental freindly!!!! dive center itself is very clean and tidy and cozy, chill environment and crew members and the owner is very flexible for all changes. Last but not least, they provide 2 big towels for me to use after diving on the boat and hot shower in the dive center. i can only say flawless, after all i been to many places diving like aussie egypt south africa thailand etc, this is by far the BEST crew i have ever encountered. shout out to them, absolutely do not hesistate booking with them, you will not regret. and guys if you see this! keep it up i will be back!

Went diving with Neptune diving in Bali and in Komodo staying at their hotel Komodo Resort. The team made everything smooth for me, the reservation was quick, hotel pick-up was on time, they helped book the flight tickets from Bali to Labuan Bajo, a full on service that took me by surprise. even prepared a airport and boat transfer to get me to their private island in Komodo. I travelled solo but they were busy enough to meet new people and that added to the fun. Big shoutout to my dive guide Noe in Bali and to Yoga who helped with making everything happen. This was an experience that you can't forget especially because I got to see everything i wanted, especially the manta rays both in Bali and in Komodo.

The drift dive was awesome and the best I ever had. The current was strong but felt safe to follow the dive master and enjoyed the ride. The trip was well organized. Pickup was on time. Equipment was functional. Briefing was on point and the dive crew was very help to get in and out of water. Will definitely trust and go with this operator again.

Amazing experience from top to bottom. The dive center was immaculate and the process was professional, thorough and super friendly. The staff understands customer service and expertly serves their customers. They anticipated my needs at every turn, offered a sea sickness pill at the outset to ensure a smooth experience at sea. The onboarding questions prompted a pool refresher as I hadn’t dived in a year. The dive instructor assigned to me was phenomenal. He is everything you ever want in a dive instructor, especially when you are shaky in your skills and are diving a new territory (continent.) he was humorous but stern in the matters that matter. He also handled the go pro and got some amazing videos of large Manta, sea turtles, coral, and many other amazing sea life. He also made sure to point me in the right direction for some memorable experiences and snapped some picture frame worthy shots. Thank you Neptune! I will be back!

Snorkelling with the mantas was incredible and the diving at the other spots were some of the most beautiful dives we’ve ever done. Neptune dive equipment was in superb condition, the staff were amazing- friendly, professional and fun. We would highly recommend using them!

Neptune diving provided the most professional, well organised and hospitable day tour. I booked the 3 dive intro dive tour, the day prior. Neptune was in contact within minutes of booking to confirm and adjust the itinerary and logistics to accommodate our level of experience and transport and timeline accordingly. We were picked up from out hotel on time, had 2 excellent dive instructors that stayed with myself and my partner for the whole day. The pool training was precise, clear and instilled confidence and rapport between us and our dive instructors. An hour of training done, we were down to the beach and onto a boat which accommodated 2 other booked divers (4) total and our Neptune Dive instructors. We were also given sea sickness pills early in the day if we wished which was such a relief and testament to the company's experience and readiness. All 3 dives were incredible. We were fortunate to be swarmed by 6-10 manta rays at Manta Point, beautiful corals and schools of fish at Crystal Bay and then a unique drift dive up at Mangrove point where we even saw turtles. Overall the day was efficient yet not rushed. The instructors/buddies were friendly, well-skilled and full of interesting information and guidance. They even gave feedback on my dive techniques and which made every dive spot better than the last. I cannot fault Neptune in any way and the price doesn't even come to mind when you get an experience like this. Worth every single cent and I'd book again with Neptune without hesitation!

The staff at Neptune were very attentive in getting everything booked and answering all of my questions prior to our dive. Our dive guide Gude was great and really kept a close eye on my girlfriend who is new to diving and made her feel very safe. We saw lots of Mantas and an incredible amount of corals and diversity of fish on the drift dive. The lunch was also very tasty. Amazing experience! Thank you

My husband and I had a very pleasant experience diving with Mully. The equipment provided were new and well maintained. We felt safe diving with Mully even when were drift diving with the currents. In calmer waters, he took the time to let us explore various dive sites including Manta Point. Mully is a very experienced diver and he planned the dives well. The boat ride to the dive sites was comfortable. We met divers from othet dive shops as well. Neptune arranged for pick up and drop off services to our resort in Sayan. They even had breakfast prepared for us as we had to leave the resort early. I was amazed at how beautiful and healthy the reefs were. We saw multiple manta rays too. I would highly recommend Neptune to any divers who are looking for a dive shop in Bali.

Great company, great trip. We booked this off a cruise ship and Yoga was great with communication. He answered all our questions promptly and designed the perfect day for us. From the second Neptune divers picked us up everything was top notch. The company had all our equipment in bags labeled with our names. Their equipment is top of the line and they made sure everything fit and that we had everything before we headed to the boat. There were 7 divers and 4 crew plus the Captain. The boat had plenty of room and they had all our equipment set up. They also prepared us for a bumpy ride and offered us sea sick pills before we left the shop. We did 3 dives and they were all spectacular and yes we did see mantas. It is hard to stay in a group for the manta dive since it is so popular but the crew did a good job keeping up with us. The second dive was in a cove so much smoother but still perfect and healthy reef, tons of fish and lots of my favorite, clown fish. They had packed us a lunch (we picked what we wanted from their selection) and it was excellent and it really hit the spot. The 3rd dive was a drift dive and again tons of fish and coral. The crew did all the work setting up gear which is good for me since I am prone to motion sickness. I felt very safe with Neptune divers and highly recommend. It was probably some of the best diving ever and a great company. Hoping to go back to Bali and spend more time diving and will defiantly use Neptune divers. Neptune dive shop is truly a well run company. Their dive equipments were all top notch. Noé Our dive instructor was a terrific guide. All instructions prior to dive were very clear. The coconut water between dive was also well prepared for us. Lunch special green rice and egg was also very tasty. The fruit plate was also a good touch ( gets rid of the salt mouth feel). Our dive buddies from the dive was on her 3rd day of diving. The Neptune dive shop was super clean. The facility lavatory was also very clean as well as their shower stalls. We would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to do 3 dives in a day (this was our pick).
