Private Tour : Bromo Ijen Tour From Bali

The bromo ijen tour from Bali was a highlight of our trip to Indonesia! It was superbly arranged by the drivers and tour guides. The volcanoes were unbelievable and well worth the long travel days. Our guides went above and beyond to ensure our safety and that we had a great time. They were really lovely people. Can’t recommend this tour enough!

Very well coordinated! Smooth experience and overall Ijen was worth it. Started from Seminyak and pickup was on time. Never had to worry about anything up to the ferry transfers and the actual Ijen hike. Sir Zuki my guide took a lot of amazing pictures of me on top of Ijen and has been helpful with my hike pacing.

We had a great time with this tour! It was 3 girls in our 20s. Everything was very well organized, driver to driver each one was waiting for us. All drivers were very nice. The only thing I would warn is the accommodation is not super nice but you get what you pay for. And you only sleep there for a couple hours so it isn’t a big deal. Be prepared for lots of travel but great views!!!!

Had such a great time on this tour. Our drivers/guides Andrew and Wayan were super helpful and flexible. They were happy to pick us up earlier than the tour start time from Denpasar airport and helped us get to Surabaya airport when we decided we wanted to fly back to Bali rather than do the long drive. One driver is for Bali and another driver for Java, and another person helped us across the ferry between. Bromo and Ijen were incredible. The Ijen hike is very steep in sections and the climb down to the blue flames is very scrambly in the dark, even for experienced hikers, but we had an awesome tour guide Jai with us the whole way for Ijen. Unfortunately the blue flames were not there but it was still amazing seeing the sulphur lake. Just be aware this tour is a long time in the car and the roads are very hectic but would recommend this tour!

This was the highlight of our time in Indonesia! The tour was extremely organised, and the staff and tour guides were so helpful and some of the friendliest and funniest people I’ve ever met. Andrew was our driver and he was the best, he even bought us a coconut each on the way back from the trip. We were genuinely really sad to say goodbye. The tour guides matched our pace very well. I would recommend this trip to anyone who is up for a challenging but rewarding few days. And it was very very good value for money. Not a single thing to complain about we loved every second.

My friend and I had such an amazing experience on this tour going to Ijen and Bromo! Be prepared for some grueling commutes - the drives from Bali to Java are long, but we felt in very good hands with Gede and Andrew the entire time. The first hike is Ijen - this was the most memorable for me. It's a 5 hour hike through the night, that can be steep going up the mountain and especially down the crater. We were in great hands with Sugi though, who went above and beyond to lead us through with a smile and even hold my friend's hand to stabilize her on steeper descents. He was very conscious of our safety throughout, and also a great photographer. IG boyfriend material! The second part is the visit to Bromo - much less strenuous of a hike but still very beautiful. There were a lot of great photographable moments, and Andrew was fantastic in ensuring we got to experience the full of it. There was a lot of coordination needed in this trip, but it was well organized. Overall we felt very safe, and in good hands with Gede, Andrew, and Sugi! We had a wonderful time on our trip to Bromo from Bali. Wisnu Saputra was an excellent driver, he stayed with us for the entire trip and helped us for every need we had. The trip to Ijen was canceled just two days before the trip because the site was closed, but we were offered to go to Tumpak Waterfalls after Bromo instead, and it was an amazing surprise. We highly recommend the tour and we thank Wisnu for the great experience!

Had an amazing tour of Ljen and Bromo with GEDE. He was very professional, kind, and accommodating. The hikes on this tour are quite strenuous and the pace is rather quick, so I wouldn't recommended for anyone looking for a leisure tour. Other than that, I would highly recommend this to anyone.

It was a good 3days 2night spent with Abang Gede. He brought us to Dolphin Swimming, Mount Ijen as well as Mount Bromo. He always waited as there were 4 of us so we were kind of behind time each time. He also brought us to local food places for us to try. He is a very smooth and steady driver as well, allowing us to be at ease and get the rest we need.

I was initially nervous about this trip as booked via WhatsApp a little blind and was told I was going to be picked up at my hostel at 7pm the following day. I shouldn’t have been nervous however as the trip was so well organised and efficient. My driver to the ferry from Bali to Java arrived early to collect me. I was then collected and escorted on the ferry to Java and picked up at the port. At no point was I alone. Everything in Java was equally as efficient, drivers were safe and cautious, car comfortable and exceptionally clean. Hotels great and the local guides they used were excellent too. Can’t fault this tour at all. Dropped off at my hotel at the end too. Would recommend. The view from the hotel for the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall was amazing. The sights themselves were stunning, we managed to miss the crowds at the waterfall which was a special experience

Great tour, everything was as advertised in the description. Our driver Gede did a great job navigating and Chris our Ijen guide was also great. Very tiring but rewarding

Incredible experience. Our highlight was the hike to Ljern. While the hike was strenuous at parts, the views up top was breathtaking and worth every step. Our Ljern guide, Chris was fantastic and brought so much energy to our hike. We also want to thank our amazing driver Gede. He was so accommodating and such a trooper. We are so grateful to have been accompanied by such kind and helpful guides on this trip.

We had a really good Trip! Our driver was really friendly, receptive and accomodating! The homestay near Bromo was in a very scenic area and in good condition. The food was also nice!

Incredible 3D1N Bali volcano adventure! Hiked Ijen Crater at night for the otherworldly blue flames - unforgettable! Sunrise over Mt. Bromo was magical. The tour was well-organized with a guide. Just be prepared: the Ijen Crater hike is challenging, early starts are key, and accommodations are basic. But for thrill-seekers, this is highly recommended!

Itinerary Know that this is a longggg trip. I was coming from Canggu so had to drive 4 hours to the ferry port, take a 1 hour ferry, take a 1 hour drive to the volcano base, to start the hike. Ran into no issues and communication was clear at all times. Just know it’s a long trip. Drivers/Guides Everyone was amazing. I sadly forgot the name of my drivers but they communicated with me through WhatsApp and were timely and friendly. My guide for the hike was Irul and he was seriously the sweetest and most attentive guide. He noticed I was tired and offered to carry my backpack halfway up the mountain. Bless his soul. He also was consistently asking whether he could take our picture to ensure we had a great experience. Blue Fire We were fortunately one of the earlier groups and got to see the blue fire before it got too crowded. The guide said there is an 80% chance of seeing it each time so you will most likely see it. Honestly one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in nature. 100% worth it.

Our trip was greeted by our driver named kadek! Extremely friendly and customer oriented. The best supir! We proceed to mt ijen with our guide Aziz. Who was energetic and knowledgeble. The view of the blue flame was really a sight to be hold. Do note that, the supir will pick you up at 6pm from your hotel at bali and will drive you to ijen and you will hike straight away. But once you see the blue flame, you will feel rewarded and all the fatigue will be gone! Following that, we proceeded to bromo where we stayed at a comfortable hotel. To ensure that we are well rested to catch the sunrise and the crater. There will be a jeep that will take us to king kong hill where we get to see the sunrise and the other mountians closed by! Really and amazing sight! After that the jeep will take us to bromo crater. Do note that you can actually hike 2km to the crater or take the horse to the crater. There was about 250 steps that you need to take up the stairs to hit the crater rim. Overall it was an awesome and amazing trip! Worth all the traveling time. As we get to see one of the 2 blue flames in the world and get to hike along the crater rim! Highly recommended!

The MOST wonderful part of our tour was our driver, Kadet! The hikes were tremendous, Ijen was the most challenging hike of my life! Our guide Jeri was very helpful and took very good care of us! Joni made sure we got to our destinations on time. Both guides could pass as professional photographers! They knew more about our phone cameras than we did! We take so many wonderful memories with us.

It was fun experience to enjoy this trip. Andrew the driver helped me a lot in explaining about my destination. The way he drove was so smooth even I couldnt realize that I've arived to the destination. Also big thanks to Wayan who managed and organized my trip with his wonderdul team. I highly recommended this.

Mount Bromo and Kawa Ijen are a must see in Indonesia. Landscapes were beautiful and our driver was gentle and nice. Just a note: we travelled from Bali with the driver and the ferry and we went straight away trekking on the Ijen. We would have appreciated to leave earlier and stop to rest somewhere before the trekking. In any case everything is well organized with the guides in the two mountains.

It was really amazing, the sunrise points, the awesome views, stunning Ijen crater. It was worth every penny. Really friendly and helpfull guides and driver. If you are in Bali and want to see some real beauty, i would definitly recommend this tour.

This was a great and well organized trip. I was picked up on time and the journey from ubud to Mount Ijen went very smoothly. My guide on Mt Ije. Was fantastic and explained about the sulfur mining, the acidic lake, and how the blue flames are produced. I highly recommend tours with this company

Everything worked like a charm. Every driver was perfectly on time even with some traffic. All the guides and drivers were extremely polite and fun to be arround. Both of the Volcanoes are extremely impressive and you get great views on many occasions. Would really recommend this trip 👍

Breathtaking, once in a lifetime experience! The itinerary is as shown on the website. All was well planned down to the hour and my daughter and I don’t have to worry about anything else. The driver, Pa Kadek was very friendly, knowledgeable, and a skilled driver! He helped my daughter and I, on and off the road. Made us feel safe all the way through. Our guid at Ijen, Pa Slamet, was super helpful (especially for assisting my daughter while trekking the rocky path) and patience while cheering us on getting to the Ijen crater. Our guide at Bromo, Pa Bambang, was also super helpful in getting us to places in good timing. The 4WD ride was cool and pleasant. We’d recommend you to experience this tour if you have few days to spend in your Bali trip.

This was a great trip. Wayan and Andrew were super dependable and flexible, and while touring Java, we felt safe and taken care of. The volcanos are amazing! Of course, noone can predict the weather, but with some luck, this is a great tour to do with spectacular views and not that much hiking, so really accessible for everyone. Thank you Wayan and Andrew, hope we'll meet again!

My experience on the tour was far from what was offered nor what i recived!.. after being picked up with the drive to igen departing at 18:30 and leaving for the hike at 1:30 am on arrival at the crater you couldn’t see any of the famous blue flames at all the only little bit that you got to see was a photo that the guide had to basically choke himself to get for you!!. On the way back up to catch the supposed sunrise i asked the guide what time will it be.. his response being you wont see the sunrise as its on the otherside of the mountain, yet agan another disappointing discovery!!. On returning to the car park i was told that I had to go with the driver to drop off the other couple on the tour at the ferry port as my driver was late.. the tour itneray stated we left after breakfast!.. I wasn’t picked up until 13:10pm far from after breakfast so not only have i needlessly had to wait around for hours after a long journey and 6 hour hike i find myself not getting to the accommodation until 19:25!! With no sleep or means of rest and washing myself as the place i had to stay for my late pick up wasn’t fit for that in my opinion!. And after the bromo hike not guided even though the advertised tour says english speaking guide...only certain drop off points where the driver stayed with modes of transportation thats not a guide its a driver he didn’t speak English also even though you can predict the weather it was foggy and you could see absolutely nothing on the bromo tour, this made and already disastrous trip even more horrendous. after collecting my things at the end of the tour i was told i had to get a SHARED PUBLIC BUS!! that had to come from Surabaya which was also late over 1hour Again not only that the driver nearly drove off without us at the first pit stop on the way to the port... absolutely shocking and ridiculous!! i’ve paid alot of money £235 which works out at around 4140000 rupiah for a prive tour as advertised and did not receive any of it!

This tour is perfect if you don’t want to worry about anything. Wayan and Andrew take perfect care of everything for a very affordable price. The treks are awesome, Mount Ijen views are breathtaking and Bromo Crater is awesome. It is totally worth it to sleep a little during two days to do this tour.

I am simply stunned by the competence, coordination, efficiency of this team that led me to the top!
