Ma-de, our guide, led a lovely and relaxed tour including Gunung Kawi temple a thousand years old carved into the rock faces of a canyon with waterfall, a delicious Balinese lunch open air along rice fields, and a purification ritual at Tirta Empul. With his help, we were able to lead children through all the steps, swim in a waterfall, and participate in the ritual respectfully. The Tour was really interesting and the Guide Yande was very friendly and patient he drove us around the temple, rice terrace, monkey forest waterfall and gave us helpful information and we even took selfies with monkeys. Highly recommend it
We booked this tour at 11pm the night before with an early pickup and Wayan Jose turned up bright and early for our full day tour to Ubud. Wayan shared with us deep knowledge and insight about Bali, their culture and religion. He spoke good English, being both professional and personal as well as extremely accommodating on the tour with insight knowledge and answering all of our questions. As we were coming to the end of the tour he understood our interest in coffee and offered to take us to a plantation in addition, despite it not being on the tour. We greatly appreciated the offer. He was extremely helpful in organising tickets for getting into each attraction as well as taking family pictures for us in the most picturesque locations. Recommend this tour 100%, you get to see a lot and learn a lot in a short time.

Here’s review below ☺️ I was lucky enough to spend the day with Adi who took me to explore the Water Temples and the UNESCO rice terraces in Jatiluwih. Adi collected me from my villa in Seminyak, bright and early, in his comfortable, clean and air-conditioned car. As a tip, I since learned that starting early means you beat the traffic and the crowds at these destinations - meaning you have some of these almost all to yourself. The full trip involved visiting: - Ulun Danu Beratan Temple - Jatiluwih (UNESCO rice terraces) plus an extensive buffet lunch at a neighbouring warung - Batukaru Temple (Pura Luhur Batukaru) - Tanah Lot Temple At each location, Adi spent the time sharing information on the history of the place, its importance in Balinese culture and society along with the cultural significance of individual structures, symbols and statues. Most importantly, as a solo traveller, Adi was generous with offering to take plenty of photos (which were all excellent!), and suggesting particular locations and poses that would suit. Adi was engaging without being overbearing and regularly checked in to see if I wanted to do more or less of something. On the return trip home, there was heavy traffic to get back to Seminyak, but Adi never complained and ensured I was returned to my accommodation. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and my time with Adi and am very grateful for his kindness and generous spirit.

We had such a great day with our personal driver Dewa. Dewa is so personnable, knowledgeable and fun to be with. He suggested to bring us to a coffee plantation which we absolutely loved.
We used Hire Bali Driver for airport transfers to/from Ubud, as well as a private full day tour. Surya was our driver for both. He is very knowledgeable about the sites, and an excellent driver. He is kind, considerate, and was very flexible with changes we made during our tour. He was able to find a “staff” to help me walk with a sprained ankle, and took Liz to the same store his wife uses to purchase sarongs. Coordinating everything from initial contact, to scheduling, to purchase was very easy using WhatsApp. Wayan (their coordinator) was quick to respond to any questions and requests. Pit our driver and tour guide was by far the best tour guide we ever had ever!!! He drives a Toyota SUV and was a very safe and efficient driver. He accompanied us to all the sites and was very knowledgeable about the various tourist destinations. We highly recommend him!!!!!
Berata is a wonderful guide and driver. The Tegalalang rice terraces should be on everyone’s must-see list for Bali. As a bonus, we also visited a coffee plantation which was the highlight of the day for me. We ended the trip with a purification ceremony - beautiful, serene, and spiritual.
The views of the Tegelallang rice terraces were amazing. The lunch at D’alas warung was tasty and with a scenic view. Our driver Sunarta was very friendly and knowledgeable, giving us a running commentary on the journey. He also managed to drive safely among the heavy traffic on the narrow roads and lanes of the hills of Ubud and Sukawati etc

We had an amazing day with Agos. We went to two temples, the rice paddies, an Artist Village and had an authentic Indonesian lunch. We even stopped at a coconut stand where Agos taught us how to enjoy coconuts the Balinese way. He shared his love for Balinese culture and life as well as history. He was always so warm, funny and engaging. My teenage kids adored Agos and his stories. He was so good with kids. An incredible trip that started at the Gate of Heaven and continued through much of East Bali. We visited several amazing waterfalls and the Water Temple, while weaving through stunning rice terraces and jungles in the shadow of the large volcano. My tour guide — Dewa — was simply the best, so friendly not just with me but with everyone so I felt like I had many local “guides” all day. By doing so, and genuinely asking many people to be part of my experience, it made this tour even more immersive than if he was simply sharing his deep knowledge with me. Highly recommended!

Suryi was a great guide: excellent English, very knowledgeable, kind and responsive. The car was clean and comfortable and Suryi was a very safe driver on the crazy Balinese roads. The most impressive sight was the monuments of Gunung Kawi - worth all the steps. The monkey forest was a nice finale - beautiful forest/jungle and well-behaved monkeys! The coffee plantation was a worthwhile option with much information and fun tasting. Overall, the tour was varied very enjoyable, good value and we can thoroughly recommend it.
Wonderful tour!! We went out with Dexde for on a customized tour. Saw the rice terraces, two amazing temples, three waterfalls, and an art market, with lunch in between. Dexde was knowledgeable and friendly and eager to snap some photos to help us remember the lovely day in and around Ubud! Car was comfortable and cool and he’s an expert driver. Dexde was willing to answer to a of questions about the places and Balinese culture, and also guided us avoid the crowds and kept a good pace, making suggestions along the way. Thanks so much!
I had the absolute best tour thanks to Kantun. I had a few specific places in mind so I used WhatsApp to message the night before, and within a few minute the tour was all set up for pick up the next morning. For my custom tour I asked to see Pura Besakih, Penglipuran Village, and a rice terrace. Kantun included other small stops that were such nice surprises, including a coffee plantation where you could sample 12 different types of tea and coffee and later on, a chocolate store with all Bali cacao bars. One of the best parts about this day for me as a solo traveler is that Kantun did a phenomenal job of taking photos and videos! He is a true pro. I was not expecting to have any photos of myself on this trip since I am traveling alone, so that really was such a nice added benefit! He also shared so much information on Bali traditions and culture, which is the main reason I wanted a guide. The entire day from start to finish was perfect.

We had a wonderful day visiting temples, rice terraces and waterfalls. Our driver Kantun was very friendly and accomodating. The car was clean and comfortable. The roads in Bali are not always the best, and the traffic can be intense, Kantun was an excellent and careful driver. The only thing that could have been better was the restaurant where we had lunch. It had a beautiful setting in a nice garden, but the food was very expensive and nothing special. I would definitely recommend this tour provider for a private tour in Bali, it was very good value for money!

Highly recommend and ask for Ma-de! Winding down after a few weeks in SE Asia we decided to spend a few days in UBUD and added in this tour to break free of the busy downtown UBUD streets. Although our hotel, Westin Element, offered a free shuttle to the monkey sanctuary, having this as part of the package - made for a perfect start of the day. This wasn’t’ initially on the top of my list but turned out to be a wonderful experience - the monkeys are well taken care of and roam free, yet I never felt as if they were a threat to our young child. From there, Ma-de bought us to a less visited temple, then a wonderful stop for lunch, followed by a stop over at a interactive coffee plantation - another highlight. After a full sampling and a nice dose of caffeine, we visited the Pura Tirta Empul (lots of tourists wanting to be cleansed - well, at least for their Instagrams -but worth the stop), and then onward to a beautiful rice field viewing. For me, the key to these tours is having an interactive driver to help explain the history of the sites along with adding in local knowledge while in transit. Ma-de helped to create the perfect day! HBD arranged 3 days of tours for us. We advised Wayan where we would like to go and see, and he did the rest and arranged the tours for us. Excellent value for money! Our driver / host for all our tours was the fantastic Agus. Such a lovely, kind, generous, man > he was absolutely fantastic as our guide and could not have been more hospitable during the days he accompanied us. A first class service was provided every step of the way - we could not have asked any more, always making sure and going out of his way to ensure that we got the most out of our days, and he's a very good photographer! Would highly recommend HBD!

We had Sunarta as our guide. He was quite helpful in trying to explain about the different things we saw during the trip. Overall, the main sites we visited were great and not too far from each other, reducing the transportation time between different places. Sunarta also managed to add an additional stop at a coffee plantation (not originally in the itinerary) to our day trip. I quite enjoyed the stop there too, since we got to taste different coffees and teas.
My favorite all together in one trip I would suggest more water bottles otherwise very good experience all together

An absolutely amazing trip! I thoroughly enjoyed my day and would highly recommend this to anyone wishing to see beautiful Bali. My driver picked me up on time and explained a lot of interesting facts about Balinese culture and Hinduism. The monkey forest was absolutely stunning and the temple and rice terrace very beautiful. The included lunch was at a nice restaurant. Travelling solo safely is always a concern but I felt safe, well looked after and entertained throughout. My highest praises and thanks!!!
