Private Beginner 1 On 1 Surf Lesson At Kuta Beach

Let me just say my coach Kai made my first-time surfing so easy! The whole team was very encouraging, even the photographer whose first name started with “N”. Coach Kai is very outgoing and engaging, patient and encouraging and he himself had fun when teaching me as well. I was laughing all the time and he helped me to be more and more relaxing and it turned out that I nailed the first class even just one fundamental move. So credits to my coach Kai! I appreciate the people at surf 27 with their openness and kindness!

Thanks to the incredible team at Surf 27! From the moment we arrived, the instructors radiated enthusiasm and warmth. Both my 18 & 12 year old had a coach each who were patient and funny, celebrating every pop-up and wipeout with cheers and high fives. In just one session, our kids not only caught waves they caught confidence. We loved how the lessons were paced energetic but never overwhelming, with water breaks and encouragement. Booked this Surf lesson due to price for our first one in Bali and researching Kuta was a good start beach. We thought for the price it wouldn’t actually be 1-2-1 instructors but we were wrong. Ardi and Only5 took great care of us on a day where the current was really strong and made it a good laugh across the lesson too! Can’t recommend highly enough

I recently took a two-hour surfing class with Dee at Kuta Beach, and it was an amazing experience. The sunset backdrop made the session even more special 🌅 ❤️. Dee was an excellent instructor, providing clear guidance and encouragement. I felt comfortable and learned a lot in a short time. The only downside was the lack of showers afterward, which made rinsing off a bit inconvenient. Overall, it was a fantastic class that I would highly recommend!

Erwin and Reza were awesome! My wife and I had never surfed or been to Bali. We booked 27 Surf school not because of the price (even though they were less expensive than other options) but because of reviews. And they didn’t disappoint. They picked us up at our hotel in scooters and that alone was an experience for my wife! 😂 They were always happy, smiling, and making us feel comfortable. They got my wife standing on a board within 20 minutes! She had a blast! I struggled due to mobility issues but also enjoyed my time with them! We wanted to come back but we unfortunately were busy the whole time we were there (and sore!) but we would definitely come back to 27 Surf School! Terima Kasih!

Instructor was super happy and nice, good vibes but would not give super good instructions if you’re serious about improving technique. But ofc it totally depends on your instructor for the day :) they sent photos right after

Brilliant first activity for us as a honeymoon couple. Lass and Ardi were our instructors, they came on time to our villa to pick us up and then took us to the beach to start the lesson. The surfing was so much fun and we had plenty of tries by the end, by which we did learn to surf! The instructors were very encouraging, and no matter how many times we fell, they reminded us that we we're learning!

First time surfer here, and I chose 27 surf school for their reviews, and I’m so glad I did. They are very passionate instructors and great teachers at explaining the exact things to correct in the form. Super understanding when I couldn’t make the 0730 class cause I drank too much the night before ><. Lol I would totally go with these guys, conveniently located as well. I went with a friend and it was both our first time surfing. We each had an instructor and they both was incredible and we actually managed to stand up and ride the waves! Thank you so much for being so patient and encouraging.

I broke my toe in the first 30 minutes of the lesson. The instructor have no clue on safety practices. Please be careful.

We had such a great experience with them from the very beginning with them picking us up and teaching us how to get on the board. My boyfriend and I had Las and Arnold as our instructors for the day. They were very good at giving feedback and made sure we were safe at the same time. Definitely a great way to start the day and they also took great pictures for us as well.

Really awesome experience. Our 1 on 1 instructors were amazing - fun and really hands on and helpful. This was our first time surfing and this experience really made us want to do it again. The booking also offered pick up from our villa (included) and drop off (extra small charge).

I joined the surf class with my dad, the experience was really amazing. We stayed at Nusa Dua, which is a bit far from Kita beach. The school offered pick up from our hotel for a additional cost, the cost is reasonable. The coaches are friendly and always encourages us. We were able to surf successfully and enjoyed the sport a lot. I would like to return to surf more in the future. Shower was available with a additional cost of 5000rp. I also got photos from the surf school, they were taken via professional cameras and the quality is good. All in all, we loved the experience and would recommend it to everyone. The course is beginner friendly.

Highly recommended after my 1st day of experience. My instructor Las was great - very patient and encouraging. Explained everything clearly and soon got me into the water. By the end of the lesson I was able to stand on the board and ride the waves. Also got great support and tips from Helvia. Thank you team ‘27 Surf School’

I enjoy having my surf lessons with this group. They are warm, professional, prioritising safety, know how to have fun, and explain a lot of things about surfing. Friendly staff and excellent surf-spot for beginners like us. All of us were able to ride some waves and get a nice introduction into surfing.

Great experience! The instructors were good at coming down on the same level as us, and they had very good instructions after most waves to correct what could be better. We both got several meters on our very first try. We came back for a 2nd time, and would come back for more, if we are near. PLUS they took a lot of good pictures of us, wich is a massive plus we didn’t expect.

Great experience. We surf ini KUTA Beach. It safe and only sandi bottom. A bit crowded but its alright because we got 1 coach each

They offer us pick up and transfer back to hotel, it much easier for us. A bit of theoretical and straight to the water. We don’t waste the time, we only had good time.

Thus is the second time I surf with them - Coach Ozzy remember me and pick up the lesson where we left off. In somewhat advance newbie lesson, he slowly tech me (patiently) to gain better control and how to pick the perfect wave for me to surf. Will be back with kids on tow as I saw they are super patient with the little ones!

Coach Happy and Parlin were very patience and motivating during the 2 days of lesson. They were in the water with us all the while and gave very clear teachings. Totally enjoyed the session and I will definitely look for them when I am back. Pricing is very very reasonable comparing to others. Transfer provided from our villa. Bonus is they even took the effort to help take photos and capture the moments for us. Super impress with their service! Highly recommended.

27 surfing school is a must do for anyone visiting kuta beach! Best best people ever, fab value for money🙌🏻 And knowledgeable staff who made it so easy for my girlfriend as well who wouldn’t be a strong swimmer. Nice relaxed environment and refreshing drinks served afterwards to watch the sun go down! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have never felt so welcomed at one place before. All instructors and staff on-site will call you out by name and chat with you. Kudos to Las for being an amazing instructor too. Will definitely be back for more surfing!

Excellent experience. Our three surf instructors, Erwin, Roy, Ring have been amazing. Super competent, very patient and despite our English beginners, we understood very well the explanations for getting to stand on the board. They are truly a team of professionals passionate about surfing who take pleasure in sharing their passion. Thanks again to them for their teaching, we really had a great morning.

There were two of us and we were assigned two surf instructors. After a short introduction we went straight into the water. Both looked after us very well and we were able to learn a lot in the 2 hours! They offer a shuttle service for people who sleep near Kuta.
