Tri Kahyangan including 3 temples, the Pura Desa or Village Temple as a place to worship God Brahma, Pura Puseh to worship God Vishnu, and the Pura Dalem to worship Lord Shiva. Pura Desa and Pura Puseh Batuan were founded in the year 944 isaka (1020 AD). Nearly 1000 years old.

We hired a Bali guide for 3 days and it was the best decision. Our guide was Yande, who’s a very warm and calm person, always ready to help, advise, and share stories about Balinese culture. Thanks to him, we visited places that were not on our itinerary and we loved all of them. He even had traditional robes in his trunk so we could visit a temple without breaking any rules (and a temple wasn't on the itinerary). We felt at ease and safe with him. We highly recommend him!
Ardana has been our driver for airport pick up, transfer of hotels as well as a full customised day tour and will be our driver for airport drop off. His experience and knowledge of the area and kindness to my whole family was amazing. A very generous man and we had an absolute blast. Our customised tour included a tour of the Batau Temple where Ardana explained all the traditions of the temple, a zoo experience with elephant feeding and riding, a jungle club visit and swim and Luwak Coffee tasting. We spent the day with our driver, Ma-de, visiting some incredible spots, the rice terraces in Kendisan, Mount Batur, a coffee plantation in Manukaya, Kanto Lampo waterfall, and a beautiful temple in Sebatu. From start to finish, Ma-de made the day unforgettable. He’s so knowledgeable and passionate about Bali and Balinese culture, and it really showed in everything he shared. We learned so much while also having a lot of fun exploring. He was super easy to talk to, had great stories, and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves the whole time. We had excellent communication from the start. Since we were choosing our own locations I was able to clarify and ask questions before arrival. We had a confirmation again the day before arrival and day of arrival which was kind and helpful. We were lucky to be paired with Berata who was happy to take us to an ATM before starting our voyage. Along the way he was knowledgeable and shared so much Bali history. He was open and free at answering all of our questions. Berata was organized our trip based on distance and weather which was ideal. He was willing to stop or not for shopping along the way too. He was always offering to take picture of us. We had a super clean well air conditioned car. Berata was prepared with bottles of water too! We had a fabulous time and would recommend.

Make sure it's Wayan's business. His team of driver guides are excellent. We wanted a selection of sights over 3 days in Bali and from pick up from the cruise terminal, to daily pick-ups to see the sights of Bali to drop off at the airport, we could not fault the service. The tours are tailored to each party and if you don't want to spend as much time at one sight, the driver guide kindly accommodates. I would highly recommend anyone wanting a private tour of any of the tours offered by Wayan's business to definitely do then. We had a thoroughly full and fulfilling 3 days in Bali.
Customised itinerary with great recommendations from our guide, Komang! Super fun to be with Komang and he really takes care of every detail of the trip! Brought us to waterfalls in Ubud and nice cafe near a rice field! Took many nice photos of us during the trip and was the most patient with us! Marvellous day tour with Oka around Ubud, the art market and Ubud Palace, Monkey Forest, the rice terraces and two amazing temples. Everything was easy; we were picked up from our Nusa Lembongan ferry and chauffered to each site. Oka was a fount of knowledge on each place and Balinese culture and religion. The day was made much better through those fascinating discussions. Thirta Empul, the temple of the holy waters, is magnificent but very busy. Unfortunately, the sheer amount of Western tourists choosing to take the purification ceremony means that locals are now less able to visit their own temples to practice those rites. We'd encourage folks to go and look, but maybe leave the devotional practices for real devotees. A highlight for us was the second temple, Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring , carved into the rock sides of a river gully hundreds of years ago and very peaceful. We enjoyed a great lunch along the way at Sawobali in Ubud, a well priced and delicious vegan buffet. All in all a great day and a great tour. We would not hesitate to use HBD again.
My driver and local guide Mang Jaya was fantastic. We emailed about 2-3 months earlier to customise a tour package for 3 days around Ubud. Hire Bali Driver responded quickly and had reasonable prices. They were able to tailor to the places we would like to visit. Mang Jaya, our guide and driver was also very accommodating and flexible, accommodating to us even though we made changes to our tour at the last minute. He also recommended some local food and provided information about Bali and the locals. Highly recommend.

Risma and Kadek were our drivers throughout our trip to Ubud from the airport transfers to two full (and incredible) days of tours. They are the kindest, funniest, and most informed guides you could ask for and consistently went above and beyond! I will definitely be back to Bali and will have no hesitation booking them again! Om swastiastu! I wish I could rate Risma and Kadek at HBD more than 5 out of 5. We originally only hired him for an airport transfer but on the ride from Denpasar to Ubud, my wife and I knew we wanted to spend the rest of our time in Bali with him and Kadek. After we got settled and relaxed at the villa for a day we started planning our trip of must see places in Ubud and Bali. With Risma’s expertise he planned a two day trip for us seeing everything we wanted to: Sacred Monkey Forest, temples, rice terraces, waterfalls, his home, Heaven’s Gate Temple, Tirta Gangga, and Virgin Beach. Risma and Kadek’s company felt more like traveling with life long friends than guides and drivers. Kadek’s driving skills are perfect and we always felt safe. Risma is the best guide (and translator when we needed it), photographer, and friend. It hurts to leave here and we will miss Bali very much. Suksema, Risma and Kadek. We will miss you two the most.
We only decided to do a tour the afternoon before. We described the type of places we'd like to see and left it to the tour company to set the itinerary. The chosen tour was just right for our family of 5 with a good mix to suit us all. Waterfall, 2 very different temples, coffee farm and rice terraces with a lunch stop overlooking the volcano and lake. Our driver, Kris, was an excellent guide for all the sites and life in general in Bali. His driving was safe and the car was comfortable. Highly recommended.
Ma-de picked me up promptly for my all day tour. He has the ability to connect with you right away. I am a retired manager from Chicago USA for Luxottica eyewear and understand the importance of being able to do this. I decided to change one of the destinations and Ma-de easily rearranged my schedule. He also suggested a location where silver and gold jewelry is handcrafted and top quality...stunning and gorgeous pieces! In this package he reminded me that lunch is included at D'Alas Warung restaurant. What a view and absolutely delicious! He is gifted and very knowledgeable in explaining all my questions about Bali and their people, (which I find to be the kindest and friendliest). Ask for Ma-de when you want to not only see this beautiful place, but learn about it too!
We had a brilliant day with a fantastic tour guide, Risma. Risma spoke fluent English and had extensive knowledge, managing to answer all questions we asked. He took us to some great spots and we never felt any time pressure at all, even stopping to go to a coffee shop when we requested and taking so many photos at the swing park, Aloha. We finished off with a fabulous late lunch at d’Alas Warung, chosen by our guide. The views from lunch were incredible and the restaurant even had a beautiful infinity pool. All in all a great day, 100% worth the money. We would definitely recommend the customised tour and Risma to anybody visiting Ubud.
