Nusa Penida Try Scuba Diving Program - For Non-certified Divers

We had a fantastic experience with Scubaverse during our stay in Nusa Penida. From the moment we arrived, the entire team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely passionate about diving. The organization was excellent, and we always felt safe and well looked after, both on the boat and underwater. The dives themselves were amazing, with beautiful sites, great visibility, and knowledgeable dive guides who made the experience enjoyable for divers of all levels. We also stayed in their accommodation and were very impressed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet, making it easy to relax and recover after a day of diving. We slept very well throughout our stay. A special mention to the staff, who were always attentive and went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly. If you're looking for a dive center in Nusa Penida that combines great diving, comfortable accommodation, and a wonderful team, we highly recommend Scubaverse. We would gladly return on a future trip.

I did my discovery dive with Pure Dive Resort last week, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had. As a first-time diver, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the whole team made me feel completely at ease from the very beginning. Everything was handled so professionally, from the clear briefing, the well-maintained equipment, to the smooth boat ride to the dive site. The instructors were patient, attentive, and made sure I felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire dive. And the highlight? I was lucky enough to see manta rays on my very first dive! It was absolutely magical to be so close to such graceful creatures in their natural environment. The underwater world around Nusa Penida is breathtaking, and the guides really know how to make the most of it while keeping safety as their top priority. What I loved most was how the team balanced professionalism with a friendly, relaxed vibe it felt like diving with good friends who genuinely care about your experience. Huge thanks to the entire Pure Dive Resort crew for making my first dive not just safe, but truly memorable. I’ll definitely be coming back next year to take my Open Water Course here. Diving with Pure Dive Resort on Nusa Penida was an absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish! From the moment we arrived, the warmth and professionalism of the entire team made us feel comfortable. My teenage son completed his Open Water course under the expert guidance of his instructor, Priscil. Her patience, clear instructions, and unwavering professionalism made him feel completely at ease. The equipment was top-notch and meticulously maintained, and the boat was always spotlessly clean, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience. We especially appreciated that the number of divers on the boat was kept reasonable, allowing for personalised attention and a relaxed atmosphere. A huge bonus for me was the accommodating option to snorkel while the dive group was exploring deeper; it meant I could still immerse myself in the vibrant marine life. The reefs around Nusa Penida are a kaleidoscope of colour and activity! The forests of corals teemed with countless species of fish, making every moment underwater a pure moment of magic. An unforgettable adventure, and we can't wait to return!

This trip we went mainly to attend a OW course for my daughter who isvw1 years old. Unfortunately, she gotbsick two weeks ago before coming and luckily she could come finally. But due to her sickness, she couldn't finish the two dives in the first day and the Pure helps us to rearrange something and let her to obtain her OW license. I need to take the opportunity to say Thank You to her instructor Mr. Denys. He is so caring and patient, full of passionate to let me girl to overcome some struggles. I strongly recommend the Pure dive to anyone to join their courses or the diving trips with them. I am so glad that we picked the Pure dive shop too.

I was TERRIFIED of diving and was hesitant whether to do it in the first place. Boy, thank goodness, I did. It was one of the best things I have ever done in my life. It’s hard to describe what’s like down there. It’s like a live zoo TV, but so much better. Pure Dive was amazing. Professional, attentive, smooth. For scuba go to Denys; for freediving - Arthur. Those chaps are the best! Very attentive owner as well. Don’t leave Penida without diving with these guys - trust me, you will not regret!!

I have got to say a highlight of the holiday for me and my son We completed First time scuba diving package with 2 x dives. Our instructor was patient excellent and made me and my son feel very comfortable and safe, in the training pool so we really understood how to operate under water. Our diver chuccy was fab and was at our side at all times. we had two excellent dive points starting at Manta Point, and we got to dive with Manta Rays which was truly amazing. Our second dive point was a fav of Pure Dive and we got to see so many fish turtles and the most colourful coral. The whole team greets you with a big smiley face and a very warm welcome, Pure Dive are a great team and make you feel like one of the family. We finished with a lovely meal, and a couple of days later link to all of the footage from the dive. Right from the start everything was just great. First time scuba diving, the instructor was patient with everyone, made sure we all understood how to operate under water, no shortcuts, but very easy to follow instructions. We were promised 1 instructor for 2 students, we ended up one on one because it was only 3 of us (they never load the boat up full). Under water Michael stayed with me all the time, guided me, pointed out interesting things and photo opportunities (which was great because there were turtles, octopus, stunning fishes). On return they were waiting for us, equipment disinfected right away, sets serviced, very professional. Every staff member greets you with a big smiley hello, they own the boat, so even those guys are staff members, it's a great team. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and special, they even let me borrow a case for my camera, my day was fantastic!

I was really anxious at first but my diving instructor Denys took the time to teach me everything and made me feel comfortable. Once in the ocean I felt really safe and could follow al the instructions I learned in the pool. It was amazing to see al the coral, different fish and sea turtles! Thanks for everything!

Excellent experience, thanks to the program and my very pedagogical instructor, I finally managed to swim up to 12m deep. I highly recommend to people who have had a bad first experience like me in another diving club (in Australia) but also for experienced people. Congratulations and thank you to my instructor. We really enjoyed our scuba diving with them! We were a couple of friends who some did Discover Scuba Diving and 1 did a diving (as already had Open Water). We did it together and we had so much fun!! Thank you guys, we really enjoyed the journey and learned a lot! :)

Outstanding dive center. Facilities, organization, equipment but most of all the instructors. I took some extra courses whilst in Nusa Penida and Choky my instructor was fantastic. He had amazing patience with me as he knew I could get nervous or overwhelmed at times but he encouraged me the whole way and I managed to achieve things with such confidence I surprised myself! This was definitely down to his calm nature and thorough teaching methods. He pushed me to achieve more than I thought I could do and for this I am now a much more skilled and confident diver. I am super grateful. The whole team at pure dive are true professionals with a skill and knowledge to teach top diving training. I would not hesitate to recommend and can’t wait to return. Swimming with Mantas and even a whale shark!!! Was a huge bonus 🤩🎉

We did our first ever dive with the team at pure. I was quite anxious about diving, but our guide, Alex, was fantastic at putting me at ease meaning I could thoroughly enjoy my time under the water. Fabulous experience and itching to go diving again!

I tried the discover dive at Pure Dive and would highly recommend them. They are thorough - they spend time going over the basics in a pool before taking you out to the ocean, something that is not done by all dive outfits. The experience was immensely enjoyable!

The best part of my experience was the people!!!! The dive centre is modern and very innovative design with a smashing organic dive pool that is fun to do the dive training in. The gang are really great fun ! They remember that this is a professional gig with solid training and outcome - but it is also an island destination and experience & blending the two - was what made the entire experience memorable. I recommend this dive school. I did my PADI Open Water certification with this peoples and it was just super cool! A lot of theory and pool training, sometimes feeling a bit uncomfaortable and nervous in the pool but our coach was very patient and we kept practice. The best part is of course the ocean - very easy after the pool, lots of incredible things. Big fish, small fish, turtle, corals, MANTA- everything.

I consider myself quite lucky to get my dive licence with this school. Have nothing to compare them with though have absolutely nothing to regret. Very professional approach, I got all the time I needed to master the skills and gear. Great feeling of confidence upon completion - awesome job!

Unfortunately TA does not support Ukrainian, but I’d love to share my experience anyways. Very nice, tidy and well-run place. Did my Open Water course with the guys and it was really something! Took me 3,5 days from a noob to a diver, the amount of new things I’ve learned is just enormous! Can’t describe the amount of things I’ve seen underwater - literally from nemo to gigantic flying rays. Highly recommended!

Great scuba diving club, we really enjoyed our time there with our instructor Dennis. Dennis was really supporting, and caring. We just needed to have fun and dive nothing else beside that. Really recommended.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience! The staff was very welcoming to us and our kids. My husband is a dive master but I haven’t had a lot of experience before, just did a couple of Discover scuba. The instructors were great! I completed my Discover scuba diving program with very clear theory before the dives. Then had a dive in the pool practicing all the skills and only after that did my two ocean dives. It was so great that I have decided to do my open water diver course straight after! I’ve done 6 ocean dives in total and I actually learned a lot in the pool before to go to the open ocean, is different from most. I never felt unsafe and I had so much fun. Planning to come back in October to do my advanced and dive with mola-mola 😍

Perfect way to get to know diving and its related magic. First the basics in the pool and then two dives in the ocean. Very friendly team, careful pointing and high confidence & standards.

This was our first dive and we were super accompanied. Brief theoretical introduction, at the modern base there were pre-exercises in the pool with the equipment and various techniques were shown. We also felt super accompanied by the two dives and were able to explore the underwater world at our own pace. The whole team was super attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

I did my Beginner and Advanced open water course at Pure Diving Resort. I had a great time. I liked it so much that I will immediately take the next course in November.

An amazing experience! Denys briefed us very well in theory and practice in the pool! The dive went very well with 3 turtles on the counter and many fish!

Absolute pleasure! Professional team, I don't even know a few languages they speak. The equipment is in excellent condition, the training takes a couple of hours, the dives are absolutely unreal! Big rays, corals, turtles and fish! Organization - without any comments, everything is clear and transparent. Very, very much so!

Long time ago, we were going to Indonesia and it finally happened. After the refined Red Sea, diving at the intersection of two oceans is super. Island vacations, ocean of seafood, unseen underwater scenery and inhabitants - all with an excellent team of pofi. Thanks Ark and Dan))
