Amazing experience! The highest level of safety, combined with pure fun and a deep knowledge of and respect for marine life… There’s so much to learn if you want to! The whole team is fantastic. I did six dives with Ark and Arya, and I learned a lot from them while having a great time. On my second day, I was incredibly lucky to swim alongside a green sea turtle for at least ten minutes, definitely one of the highlights of my dives! Highly recommended!

I returned again in May 2026 for a 5-day diving holiday, which confirmed once more why I rate Pure so highly. What stands out most about Pure Dive is the professionalism and genuine passion behind the entire operation. The dive center operates with a comprehensive and very well-structured safety and emergency concept, uses technically up-to-date procedures, and creates an environment where both beginners and experienced divers feel safe and supported. As an experienced diver with more than 370 dives (shore, boat and liveboat) at the time of writing this review — including Raja Ampat, Lembeh, Komodo, Nusa Penida, Palau, the Philippines, the Mediterranean, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Sudan, South Africa, and Switzerland — I can confidently say that Pure Dive is among the most professional and well-run dive centers I have experienced. The guides and instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and highly attentive to safety. Dives are adapted to the abilities and comfort level of the guests, creating a very individualized diving experience. The staff also takes excellent care of both personal and rental equipment, and all gear is very well maintained. One thing that truly gives Pure its special atmosphere is the teamwork between the entire staff. From the boat crews and compressor operators to the hotel staff, guides, and instructors, everyone works hand in hand. It creates a welcoming family-like vibe while still fully respecting guests’ privacy and personal space. The guests themselves come from all corners of the world, including Europe, Asia, South America, and the United States, which creates a very international and friendly atmosphere around the resort. The dive operation itself is smooth and efficient, with two well-maintained boats and a beautiful training pool that is also perfect for relaxing after diving. The schedule usually consists of 2–3 dives per day, starting around 8–9 AM and finishing between 2–3 PM depending on tides and conditions. During my second stay in May 2026, I stayed in one of Pure’s six newly built bungalows, and they were honestly exceptional. You can feel that they were designed with love, passion, and a deep understanding of what divers actually appreciate after long dive days. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a welcome drink and warm smiles from the front desk staff, immediately making me feel at home. The rooms are stylish, beautifully furnished, and extremely comfortable. They include air conditioning and a fan, a beautiful desk with charging ports and a comfortable chair, a spacious double bed, and a very cozy daybed. I was welcomed with flowers in the room, and complimentary tea, coffee, toiletries, and insect repellent were thoughtfully provided. Daily room cleaning kept everything spotless. What impressed me most was the attention to detail throughout the bungalow design — from the carefully chosen furniture colors and warm lighting to the stunning outdoor bathroom, which offers complete privacy while showering under the open sky. It created a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that perfectly complemented the diving experience. The food and drinks were another highlight. Breakfast is currently served à la carte at a nearby restaurant across the street and was consistently excellent, accompanied by very good coffee or tea. Lunch is also provided when diving with Pure. I was told that a restaurant directly on the property is already planned, which will make the overall experience even better in the future. Besides scuba diving, I also completed my Advanced Freediver course with Pure Freediving and Apnea Total during my time on Nusa Penida. I additionally joined coaching sessions and fun freediving classes, all of which were conducted in a very professional, safe, and motivating environment. The quality of instruction and personalized coaching was excellent, and I am already looking forward to returning to try the spearfishing classes in the future. A very special thank you to Ark, Vic, Mike, Mira, Wayan, Ruddy, Intan, Budi, Abdul, Kamal, Wantan, Pak Gede, Madi, the two Kadek, Ketut, Fandi and all the other Guides and Staff for making every stay memorable through your kindness, professionalism, and hospitality. This was hands down the best-run diving outfit I’ve encountered in all of Indonesia — and I’ve dived with many. From the moment I arrived to the day I left, I felt completely at home, like I was diving with good friends rather than a tour operator. Everyone on the team was genuinely kind and clearly dedicated to making my experience as memorable as possible. Safety was never a concern — I felt completely looked after throughout all 5 days of diving. That kind of peace of mind makes all the difference underwater. I’ve been with a lot of operators across Indonesia, but this one is my absolute favorite. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-tier dive experience with heart. An absolutely fantastic resort for divers. The crew was professional, safe, and very friendly. The boats were well-organized and the gear was in great condition. Brilliant few days with Pure Dive. Very professional and friendly team great diving and I would highly recommend them. I stayed in VNS beachfront villas just opposite which was lovely and great location .

And again this place is PURE joy for divers, pun intended :) but for real, we LOVE this place! Year after year they are offering professional service at beautiful dive sides! my favorite ones are manta point (which is a bit further) and manta bay! We are always lucky to see Mantas all over the place. Can't wait to visit Penida again, for sure to dive with Pure Dive Resort.

I am a very spontaneous person so the planning process is a mess for both me and the receptionist, Wayan. He is very professional and helpful, that was why I chose this dive shop even though it's much expensive than the other ones on Nusa Penida. However, the actual diving experiences were fantastic. I enjoyed the wonderful vibe on the boat, there's captain speech and cheering every morning, and the staff were all very nice. My guide was Michael, a very experienced DM and a lovely soul. I forgot to mention how beautiful his eyes were. He is always encouraging people, making not only the dives fun, but also the commune time and lunchtime enjoyable. For freediving I would not recommend. Though Artur himself is a talented freediver, I don't think the trip met the description. No complimentary videos as described on the website. Artur's student, Stuss(sounds) was very helpful and did a lot of work, but there was only one camera with four people, so only a few pictures.

This was my third trip diving with Pure Dive. Had three amazing days diving with the team. Amazing instructors and equipment always come here when I’m in Bali. Highly recommend.

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Pure Dive! The organization was perfect, and the dive spots were simply incredible. The instructors were highly experienced, super friendly, and made me feel comfortable and safe at all times. The entire staff is so warm and welcoming – you can’t help but take them into your heart. I had so much fun and enjoyed every moment of my 21 dives with Pure Dive. This was already my second visit, and I’m certain I’ll be coming back for a third time! A well organized dive operation. The staff was knowledgable, fun and safe. The dive masters found a lot of fish, shrimp, cuttlefish, squid and made the dives amazing! Some people had issues underwater and they tended to them. The boat captains were there when we came up. The crew is very fun. I will return.

What a GEM! Such an amazing experience diving with Pure Dive, I spent a couple weeks diving with them in September. Every staff member was extremely professional and did their best to provide the experience everyone was looking for. We saw countless manta, and lots of mola when the ocean would provide them! If you’re into macro and can peel your gaze away from all the big stuff, it’s epic and the guides know how to find it! I had such an epic trip I even brought my family there in October and had my 10yr old nephew do his open water course! Can’t say enough good things about these guys!

I was last on Nusa Penida in May 2022, diving for 11 days with Ark and the team at Pure. My comments then were along the lines that Pure are a real class act. I've dived all over the world and Pure were a class above. From the quality of the retal gear to the safety briefings, from the boat crews to the dive guides, from the purpose-built dive centre to the care taken of clients' camera gear, from the attention to detail at the end of each day as gear was methodically checked to the wry sense of humour endemic amongst the team... ...yes, Pure were indeed a class act. I've just left Pure Divers after another 10 day stay, with 29 dives completed. Had standards fallen? Not at all... ...if anything, the place had developed even further, with additional guides, boats and a nitrox facility on site, and accommodation being developed too - a testament to the time, thought and effort that goes into this family owned and run business. Travelling solo can be a bit of a bug-bear for many resorts, but the welcome was great and I felt truly at home. How was the diving? Superb. Everything from tiny critters and nudibranchs through to frogfish, from marbled rays to manta, from tuna to... ...the object of this year's trip - Mola Mola. I saw Mola three times during my stay... ...on one occasion, there were five Mola! Great! Any regrets? Well, I suppose there's only one... ...the advent of the on-site nitrox facility meant that I no longer had the daily entertainment of watching Ark balancing my three nitrox tanks on his scooter!!! Would I go back to Pure? Without hesitation.

Been diving for 15 years, this is probably the dive centre that top it all. Pre trip, conversation with Pure Dive was clear and concise. Staff was very helpful in getting us all the way from airport into Nusa Penida, the hotel. Diving, briefing was very clear, equipment was new, staff was very attentive and the entire process of you stepping into dive centre tilll you go for dive and come back shower, was all well thought of. It is to the point of things like towel. Pure Dive provides soft towel which doesn't brush your skin when you dry up. That would be painful if you get sunburn, but yeah, a simple towel would have made life easier after dive. Diving was split into 3 diver with 1 guide. You won't feel like a market diving with 9 divers and 1 guide kinda arrangement. Total of 9 divers on boat, they have 3 dive guide with us. And briefing, planning and execution is very clear. Was diving with Abdou (I think that is how his name is spelled) most of the time. Fantastic guide, english speaking and very well verse with current situation of sea in Nusa Penida. Alongside with him was the owner, Ark (I think that is how his name is spelled) what a fantastic Ukrainian guy who have been diving in Nusa Penida for 15 years. Very experienced and very easy to dive with him. Overall, I have no bad review for this dive centre really, the place itself aesthetically look so good, which that explains how much effort they put in to create a space for us to gather, prepare and go dive. Awesome place indeed.

Really great trip, I did two days and the second day we went to Manta point and had the chance to see multiple Manta rays. Pure dive had great facilities with showers, a pool & lunch was good.

We booked to dive with them in July 23. Gede, Effi, Ark corresponded with me and arranged our bookings. All the information was clear and deposit straight forward. Unfortunately we had to cancel due to family events. They kindly allowed me to keep the deposit up to 2024 should we were able to make plan this year. So we did in January 24 and enjoyed every moment we had with them. Wayan gave us a refresher and he was very meticulous and covered everything we needed to know. They have a pool on site so it was very convenient. Next day we began our first day's dives and everything from equipment, boat trip, briefing was very well organised. The dive was brilliant and we saw our first mantas, and lucky enough to see them during our dives in the next two days. They have changing room and showers onsite that for before and after dives. The boats are just by the beach across the road from the dive resort. All the boatmen were very helpful in getting us ready for our dives all we did was to appear and ready in our dive suits. After the morning dives lunches were provided at the warung just by the boats. Lunches were simple but delicious and we could order extras and beer on our own cost. At the end of our trip, we were very pleasantly surprised to receive many photos and videos they took during our dives from them. We were very tempted to come back to see the mola mola with them.

Amazing team and very well organised in organising my 3nt/4days diving package. I needed a refresher as I didn't dive in 4 years and the team was incredible. Next day I went to my first dive and I was terrified, but they handled my fears very well. Also, on dive 2 on the day after, the sea was very choppy and I was starting to get sea sick, we went to Manta point and as we started descending I had a major panic attack and wanted to take off my mouth piece at 25 m depth, immediately the instructor saw me, took me up slowly while grapping my arms and maintained eyes contact and instructed me to breath slowly, she ensured we made safety stops and then took me up to the surface where I just had a big emotional breakdown followed by seasickness! The instructor kept patting on my shoulders, got me water,, encouraged me to talk and calm down and she was a great listener. They took me back to shore to rest and then at the afternoon dive the same instructor (Entan) took me to light drift dive close to the shore, and because of her I felt so much calm and regained my confidence back. The third day dive went amazing, took seasickness tablets and I was closely supervised by Abdul and he was so wonderful in the 2 dives and managed to do deep and drift dives and finally saw the mola mola. The team managed to turn things around for me with their excellent safety and support measurements. If you want to dive in Nusa Penida, just go to Pure dive. Awesome. Really well run, with very well maintained equipment, great staff, and excellent guides. Some of the best diving we’ve done (and we’ve done quite a lot, 400-500dives each). We did 4 days of diving with them and loved every second of it. Excellent briefings from the guides who were all really knowledgeable and very friendly. Great value too. The diving here is pretty spectacular. There’s obviously the Mantas as the big draw card but the other sites were all amazing too. Definitely recommend getting in as many dives as you can if you visit. Can’t speak highly enough of them, and wouldn’t hesitate to come back and do it all over again next time.

Couldn’t recommend this group enough!! All the staff were fantastic and across our 4 days we were shown the best dive sites around the island (based on safety and conditions). The convenience of the dive-n-stay package was awesome and it was super easy to walk to the dive center each morning and lunch included was such a bonus. If you are looking to go scuba diving around the Nusa Islands, then this is the way to go!

I joined the team at Pure Dive for a week and was impressed from the very start of the diving trip with the service and professionalism of the entire set-up from the shop, to the boat to the after care and scrumptious food provided as part of the experience.

Amazing dives! First 5 minutes of getting into the water we say multiple mantas. We also saw a turtle during the second dive (drift dive, so fun!) as well as an eel, a mantis shrimp, crabs, lobsters and so much more. Dennis was a fun guide!

Great dive guides, reliable equipment, and they really know what they’re doing. All three dives were incredible, I’d gladly use them again.

My husband and I joined Pure Dive for 6 dives over three days in November 2022. Intan was our dive guide and we could not have been happier! She had great eyes for nudibranchs, mantis shrimp, octopus, manta rays and more. We were excited to be on the boat that spotted a Mola Mola even though we didn't see it. I highly recommend Pure Dive because their ratio of divers to guide was excellent and they took great care of us and our equipment. Their front desk staff was also top notch - friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

I had a fantastic 9-dive (3 days) dive experience with Pure Dive. I organised this in advance with Ark, who helped with all my transfers as well and was very responsive, organised and professional throughout. Their premises are superb, equipment is in great condition and they can provide wetsuits of different lengths and thickness to suit the temperature conditions (which can be surprisingly cold!). Pure Dive also have their own boat, and the beach is literally across the road from their office. A tasty lunch was included every day in the package. My guide, Intan, was really lovely and very experienced, and she prioritised safety and enjoyment on all our trips. The currents in Bali can be quite strong, and as a fairly inexperienced diver it did get a bit scary at times, but Intan made sure I was taken care of. I'd highly recommend using Pure Dive if you're planning to go to Nusa Penida.

Did a several dives with Pure Dive Resort over a few days. As an instructor myself I can tell you that the staff, equipment, facilities and diving were world class! I cannot recommend them enough! Pure dive resort is a perfect dive center for all reasons. Excellent staffs,place and location. staffs are nice and well-prepared. I really love the vibe and the decoration of the place. Close to hip cafes and bungalows. Defenitely recommend 5 stars.

I did ten fun dives with pure dive and have an absolute amazing experience. The equipments were properly maintained and all of the staffs were professional and friendly. The current in Nusa Penida sometimes can be strong but Intan, my divemaster, assured me that I was in good hands. Pak Nyoman, the co-captain always asked me how my dives went and what I saw underwater. And Rudy would offer to take me back to my villa every time I finished my dives because I don’t know how to ride a motorcycle. Small things but I really appreciate them. Super recommended dive center!

My friend and I went for a three dive trip with Ark, who is enthusiastic and funny. He also helped to take videos of us and the reef mantas we saw that morning. Ark is a very hands-on person ensuring we do our safety checks and lead his staff to keep the boat tidy and that all equipment are stored and maintained well! We would come back to dive with him on our next Nusa Penida trip!

The business is family owned and the team are very professional with a touch of fun; we had a great day. The dive sites are well chosen for their diverse plant and sea creatures with lots to see and experience.. The staff is well prepared and dedicated to offer a personalized experience in order to respond to every need of the divers, from recreational divers to more experienced divers. Following all the safety measures and with the diving boat and equipment well maintained. Arakadi and family are very flexible to the needs of their customers and looking into every little detail, giving you confidence from the initial briefing up to the end of the immersion. We spent 5 days (12 dives) and we had the opportunity to experience dolphins, mola-mola, a thresher shark, aside of the usual amazing marine life of the reef and the area. So our expectations were fulfilled and more.

Very professionally dive school and friendly personal. We did advanced adventure and 4 dives with them. The instructor named Denis made videos using GoPro and edited for free, the owner named Arkady also made professional photos under the water. I think that this Dive center has very good retention, I definitely will come back again.

I spent 2 full days diving with Pure Dive, a total of 6 dives. So wonderful! Of course we visited the usual Penida sites, i..e Manta Point, but the magic was going to the not often seen east side. Wonderful and colorful deep slopes, enjoyable wall dives, great hard coral forests and many soft corals. Very fishy, and very, very fun drift dives. Our dive guides were professional, very accomodating, and quite knowledgeable. Their dive gear was good as new, very clean and well kept. Most of all, they were very passionate divers and know Penida better than anyone else I've ever dove with at that Island. No doubt, I'll be returning for another few days of diving with them soon.
