Mount Ijen: Electric Blue Fire Tour (2d1n - Private & All-inclusive)

Beautiful and definitely worth doing — but you have to accept that you’ll be doing it alongside more than a thousand other tourists. Most people start the hike around 2 AM, so it gets crowded, and there’s often a traffic jam on the way down to the blue fire. Still, it’s quite an experience — a bit dangerous, but the sunrise and the mysterious blue flames make it all worthwhile. Thanks Aprio and team for 6days tour

Our driver and tour supporter is Mangdut, he is friendly and nice through the trip. He is responsive before all the pick up arrangements and takes care of our needs on the way to Ijen volcano. The Ijen climbing tour guide Olympic is also very professional in both guiding and taking pictures. We are very lucky to witness the blue flame on Ijen mountain even if it’s a rainy day. The climbing up and down does require a good physical strength to achieve. But the scene and experience definitely worth once a lifetime!

The whole experience was incredible. ALIT is the best guide and driver in Bali. He drove us the whole way and back and ensured we stuck to our itinerary. ECHO is the name of our mountain guide and guided us along the way on the mountain and to the blue lava. Although the blue lava was not as incredible, the views of the sulpheric lake and mountainsides were amazing. The were a lot of tourists so getting around was quite slow. Few things to recommend: because you will have a vehicle the whole trip, bring these items: sunscreen, a fresh change of clothes, swimwear, hiking wear, mosquito repellant, a thick jacket, goggles (only if you have it, if not no worries just do not open your eyes as much when there is sulpheric smoke). The hike is long and steep so be prepared. The rocks and walking surface can be slippery too. But the views during sunrise are incredible. Would definitely recommend

I had high expectations of the trip and surprisingly they were met! Right from the start they were on time. Ajek my guide was awesome and attentive. We had a great ferry ride and dinner. The hotel was perfect but the biggest thing was the hike and it was insane. The crater and ring of fire is like no other to see with your own eyes. The guide Aji was great and attentive. Funny too! The hike is definitely not easy so keep that in mind. Not difficult but you should be ready to get exercise. Overall, I am so happy with my choice as I used it for my two days and it made the trip!

The organizers took care of every detail, making the entire experience exceptional. Both accommodation and dinner were outstanding. Mr. Aji treated us like a true friend, making our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!

From the very beginning of our expedition we felt taken care of by our guide Exbi. Traveling in a comfortable car with access to chilled water, refreshments made the journey pleasant and efficient. A comfortable hotel with a view of the rice fields in the area allows you to start the climb well rested. A night ascent to the volcano, headlamps flashing in the distance, views after sunrise and the blue fire itself, give unforgettable impressions. I highly recommend it.

Alex/Ingrid and Milligan were excellent guides. Made us feel safe and comfortable the entire time. The sight of the blue flame was awesome!

Excellent organization of the trip, wonderful guides for transfer from Bali to Ijen (Gede) and for climb to Kawah Ijen. Blue fire was amazing, and the hotel was surprisingly comfortable, much better than what I expected for a remote location like that. There are lots of people trying to see blue fire, excellent timing by the tour guides to get us there in good time is highly appreciated. The tour company was in contact over Whatsapp well ahead of the trip. Overall excellent experience, highly recommended.

It was one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives. We saw the blue lava and the sunset. Aprio, our guide, was great. Kind and organised. The car was really comfortable and the many hours were not heavy.

Our driver and guide Mega was a fun personality to have around. We talked about the local culture and he patiently answered all our questions. He was proactive to stick around with us and ensure we had a safe and memorable trip all around. A special shoutout to Ingit, who acted as our guide during the trek. Such a warm and considerate person. He took me through the crater in faster routes and got me the best views of the blue fire. All in all a wonderful experience.

Been travelling for 3 months and this is up there with one of the best experiences. You should not hesitate to book this trip as you will be completely blown away. The early start and drive is long but is 100% worth it and I would do it all again. The trip is extremely well organised and the quality of the food and hotel I second to none especially for the price. What made the trip even better were the people, our fantastic tour guide Mr. G (Gandi) was funny, Informative and helped us capture on our special moments during the day. Even climbing up trees to get the best angles. You also have a local guide up the mountain and ours was amazing so funny and made every moment memorable. Your only mistake would not be booking this trip.

Our guide Gandi took good care of us throught the trip. Despite the bad traffic, we were satisfied with resting throughout the drive and enjoying our customized playlists of music. We had a personal preferrence for food, so our meals were catered to our requests reasonably. The hotel stay is Banyuwangi was very comfortable. Gandi hooked us up with a local in Paltuding and we had fun the whole time on mount ijen. Get this package if you want a hassle-free experience and just live in the moment.

What an experience. The trek up the mountain and then down to the blue flame, crater and sulfur could be a bit challenging to some, but getting there made it worthwhile. Aprio, my driver, and Eko, the tour guide were amazing. I highly recommend for an adventurous someone who wants to escape common Bali activities.

The trip was very well prepared with details of schedule shared in advanced with contact using Whatsapp. Mang Dut, the tour guide, is very kind and friendly right the moment he picked me up at the villa/hotel. He speaks english well and has a great sense of humour which makes the trip a lot more fun. Before the trekking began, we also met with a local guide with constant happy smile who took us around the mountain route smoothly. Mount Ijen is nothing but extraordinary! The view is breathtaking and not to mention the rare sight of famous Blue Fire. This tour was definitely a highlight of a 2 week trip! The Forever Vacations team was very responsive and helpful from the time of booking and throughout the tour, including when we made some late changes to our plans!! Gandi, our tour guide was outstanding from beginning to end! On the mountain we met Eko, who helped us navigate, and together, they made our climb so much fun and incredibly memorable.
