Mount Batur Sunrise Jeep Tour

Fantastic experience. Well worth waking up at 3am for! Sunia Our jeep tour guide was awesome very good and safe driver, and so kind!

This was one of the best things we did on our 1st ever trip to Bali last month. We had an amazing time and our driver Kardik was a laugh and took some amazing photos. We were blown away with the views and experience. Highly recommended and well worth the money and early morning! Thank you team!

We had a fantastic time on this trip. Dinda, was such a great guide. He was friendly and accommodating. He knew exactly where to take photos and seemed to really care about our safety. He allowed my husband to drive the jeep, he drove fast while we stood out of the top of the jeep just to please my 11 year old daughter. She is still raving about it. He was also very knowledgeable about the volcano, as he was born in the area and he had a lot of great tips for enjoying Bali. Thank you so much, Dinda for making this a memorable visit to the caldera.

Komang picked us up in a decent car that was well cooled and comfortable. He was so kind and accommodating, pulling over to pee multiple times 🤭, shop for snacks, stop and get coffee etc. He was perfect. Then we had Dinda as our Jeep guide. I think he cares more about the safety of our kids than we did, which I loved to see. He is from the area and was very knowledgeable about the volcano. He let my husband drive the jeep (personally I think that was a mistake) but we all enjoyed it. On the way out of the crater he drove us super fast while we hung out of the rooftop, which my daughter LOVED and can’t stop raving about. He was very accommodating with us as well. Also, he’s a great photographer and knew where to take us for the best photos.

Had a lovely watch at sunrise. Our driver Sunia was amazing, much appreciated. Talk with your driver, we were amazed by him and his story. Can totally recommend the black rock and black sand tour.

Throughly enjoyed this tour, the early start was tough but well worth it. Even with the Sunset not being that great, it was a great experience made even better by our Guide Nyoman who was patient, always checked in even and was great at sharing stories. Our driver Juniawan was awesome, he was really great and making sure we got to see what we wanted. Great time and would recommend!

Excellent tour! Our guide was amazing, he was friendly, patient, too all our pictures and his driver was great as well to pick us up from the hotel. Great communication! I did the sunrise trek up Mt Batur coming from Ubud and had an amazing experience, the guide took us on a route with fewer people on the track which made the experience much less crowded, and we were never rushed going up. Shout out to Dante the hike guide and Kardy for some very impressive driving skills picking me up from Ubud. Kardy also took me to an incredible tea and coffee tasting tour at a local plantation, one of the few making the specialty Luwak weasel coffee. It wasn’t part of the itinerary but he also accommodated me going to the Hot Springs after the Mt Batur hike for no hassle at all. Great morning out and I was back in Ubud by 12!

The jeep tour was great. We arrived when many cars were already there, but our guide had a secret spot for a great view. He was really caring and helpful. He took many great photos of us. We had breakfast included in the tour. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone.

Starting off, our guide Suni & gede were really friendly and helpful. Since I didn’t have a jacket with me, Sunia recommended for me to rent one as we would have to wait quite some time and thankfully i did. He always takes initiative to ask whether we are comfortable in the back of the jeep. He also takes opportunities to take candid photos of all of us and they were really good quality photos! I really recommend him as a tour guide as I had never had such a magical experience with Mt. Batur and he made it even better! Sunia no. 1 guide in Bali!

The trip was fantastic. Great views with some wholesome pictures which were taken by Rama our guide and driver who was extremely attentive to our needs. The volcano rocks are also some sight. Would totally recommend this experience

This experience was amazing! We absolutely loved our driver Putu who was knowledgeable and kind and made sure we all were having a great time! Our photos turned out amazing and the views were worth the hype, 100% recommend to everyone!

The guys were amazing and really hepful, they catered to every single need we had. July, the jeep driver was really friendly and was receptive to us.

We booked last minute but that was no problem. Sunia responded very fast, Santika picked us up at the hotel the next morning. Superfriendly drivers and guide. In a 2hour drive hè brought us from Kuta to the meeting place. There we met Agus. Our driver and guide for the jeep tour. He immediately clarified why we had to meet 2 hours before sunset, so we got the best spot for the sunrise 😀 and he was right. It was absolute beautifull to see how the landscape revealed itself before the georgeous sunset. Then Agus took us on a ride to the lava with a lot of information and lots of fun . We went back to the hotel again with Santika and stopped by a waterfall. Thank you Sunia, Agus and Santika for this wunderfull experience and all your kindness.

We had a great experience with our guide, Agus. Despite the place being crowded, Agus did his best to make sure our pictures were snap as if we were the only one there. He even recorded amazing videos of us and went an extra mile to make sure it looked picturesque. He is also very well versed on the history and the nature of kintamani as he is born there. Overall, i would definitely book a trip with them again and will definitely visit batur again as the ambiance of being up there is just beautiful!

One of the better experiences we have had. Our tour driver Sunia was great, he came and picked up from the hotel.. much earlier so we could have a great spot and not get stuck behind several other jeeps. He was very courteous and spoke well and shared amazing stories. He took great photos too… Sunia, after the sunset took us to the lava rocks and that was just magical experience. The 4wd drive experience to the and on the lava rocks was unique. We had a great time and many thanks to Sunia. I would highly recommend to select this tour with Sunia, he is the best!

This trip was recommend to us by friends of us. Sunia was our guide and jeep driver, he was a very experienced driver, very knowledgeable about the area in general and had a great command of English language. I cannot praise him enough for the top notch tour he gave us and would highly recommend that you take a jeep sunrise tour with him! Really nice personality and super friendly, would highly recommend them both!

A friend recommended me this tour and it didn't disappoint! I booked the tour 2 days before, everything was smooth and fuss free. Got picked up at my hotel at 230am for a 2hr drive because I was staying quite far from Mount Batur before transferring to a jeep driven by Sunia. Sunia was great! Spoke good English so no issues with communication, and constantly checking if I was OK during the jeep drive. We arrived at the mid point of Mt Batur about an hour before sunrise and had breakfast while waiting. Thankfully we were early as Sunia could find a spot higher up with great views. He also took fantastic pictures and was brilliant in introducing the area and black lava. Him being from the area definitely helped. The jeep itself was also very comfortable (very different from other harder seats that I had taken elsewhere) and well maintained. Would definitely recommend this trip to others!

It didn’t have many reviews yet but so lucky I found this tour. I did this for my birthday with my parents. We got picked up at 3:30am at our hotel. It’s early but you need early. It’s about 70 minute drive from Ubud to the Jeep, then 30 minutes to Mt Batur. Grateful for the Jeep and our guide because there was some expert driving required and some steep off-reading! We arrived at 5:30 for a 6:30 sunrise, and our guide expertly found us the last great viewpoint. Lots of other jeeps around so arrive later and it wouldn’t have been good. It was cold though so dress appropriately. The Jeep doesn’t take you to the 1717m summit, I think it takes you about 1400m above sea level. That’s good enough. You can hike the rest if you want but 1400m is high enough to get a great view. He was so hospitable, offering us breakfast and drinks and telling us about some of the local history, and he offered to take photos of our family that turned out great. He spoke excellent English. My mother has recently broken her ribs and shoulder and is still a bit fragile. Our guide was so considerate making sure she was comfortable and helping her out. We did a combo tour of hot springs afterwards, and while the tour and driving was fantastic, the hotsprings itself was mediocre. The pools weren’t that hot and pools were a bit dirty. We left after an hour because we were tired and wanted to go back to our hotel. Dropped off and done by 11:30. Great Jeep and driver. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour for anyone interested in Mt Batur by Jeep.

I did this trip with my elderly parents on 19/3 and it was fantastic. We were picked up promptly at 3:30am which is a bit of an early start but it needs to be that early. It was about a 80 minute drive to the Jeep place, and a 30 minute drive in the Jeep to mt batur. Sunrise was at 6:20 but we arrived at 5:20 and it was already pretty full. Luckily our wonderful driver was able to find us prime viewing spot, otherwise it was pretty busy and very few parking spots. I think we were at about 1400m elevation (summit is at 1700m) but it was high enough for us and we were didn’t want to hike. Some parts of the drive were scary and very steep but our driver excellent manuevered the Jeep and luckily the car was 4x4 and had good brakes! Our driver was very hospitable, spoke excellent English; offering us drinks, breakfast, and his help taking photos. My mother recently broke her ribs and shoulder so she was a bit fragile but he really looked out for her constantly checking in to make sure she was comfortable and taken care of, I appreciated that. After sunrise we went to the lava field and we did a combo trip to the hot springs. My family and I thought the hot springs was so-so. Most of the pools weren’t that warm and were quite small. But we were picked up at the hot springs and brought back to our hotel by 11:30. 5 stars for the private Jeep tour, 2 stars for the hot springs.

Such an adventure!! I had the best time on this trip. The tour guide Sunia was so amazing that he captured such good pics of my adventure. Mount Batur was the start to watch the sunrise n then in a fun ride down the decent we hit the volcanic rock. It's like being on another planet, never seen anything like it. After you go to the hot spring spa to relax. Sunia told me so much about the area and the spring, the farming land around there. You will be lucky if you have Sunia as your guide

Great experience to see sunrise from Mount Batur with Jeep, no need to hike. And its become unforgetable experice to visit black lava, I feel like in different planet.

It was a wonderful dawn meeting! We were brought to the parking lot and then taken to a place where no one was there, and it was impressive. Aside from that, we got a lot of great pictures!

The jeep ride was a very nice experience, the view from the volcano was beautiful and was a unique experience. Our driver Bimas was very helpful and our personal photographer. He has taken beautiful pictures! On top of the mountain it can be a bit chilly so best bring something extra. Super activity, definitely recommended!

The person in charge was very kind! He showed us to a great place, and took lots of beautiful photos. We were allowed to sit and stand on the jeep ♪ We arrived before the sun rose, so we could see the starry sky. As for the temperature, I was surprised at how cold it was when I went there wearing only a hoodie. The driver was wearing a down jacket, so if you're going, it's a good idea to bring a down jacket that you can fold up. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the top of the mountain and travel by jeep, but the car doesn't have windows, so the wind hits you and it's really cold. But when the sun comes up, you're so moved that you forget about the cold. lol

The best tour in Bali! A regular car came to pick us up at the hotel at around 3am, and after a short distance we transferred to a jeep. A professional driver and guide drove us up the mountain with a large number of jeeps. The starry sky gradually brightened, and a beautiful sun rose. It was important for us to take photos that would look good on a trip with two girls, and she was the photographer the whole time, even instructing us on poses, which was very kind. When the sun rose, the tour group from all over the world cheered, and the atmosphere was amazing! It's worth going even if you're sleep-deprived. It was a wonderful experience.
