This jeep experience is a much easier way to catch first light over Mount Batur, Lake Batur, and Mount Agung. You’ll be picked up before dawn, ride up by 4WD to a sunrise viewpoint, and enjoy a simple breakfast while the sky changes colour.
After sunrise, the trip continues across Batur’s black lava fields, where you’ll see the volcano’s rugged, darker side and stop for photos along the way. It’s a good fit for non-hikers, families, or anyone who wants the views with less effort

I was mainly interested to see the sunrise from Mount Batur. I am so glad I did a jeep tour instead of hiking/trekking. I would not have been able to do the hiking on such little sleep and no training, even though I have hiked a sunrise summit before. The hotel pickup and return was by Indra. He was an excellent driver and he drove over two hours each way, with heavy traffic on the way back. I am thankful for his safe driving. I could sleep most of the way back without worrying. He had great communication about pick up/ drop offs and handed me off to the next persons. He did a great job. The sunrise portion of the tour was by Jero. He drove the jeep up the mountain with plenty of time to spare. I ended up with a lot of pix and some videos too. The sunrise was beautiful and memorable. You really can appreciate nature of the volcanic rock formations and the sun. I am glad Jero was able to capture the moments for me! Now I can show all my friends and family. The other parts of the tour were excellent too. I enjoyed the hot springs (perfect temp and view) and the coffee plantation tour explained all the plants and animals there with no pressure to buy their products. They do have unique products in the shop that you cannot buy online. So bring money for that! Great stop for gifts.
As we were staying at Canggu, the pickup time was very early at 2am. we ultimately arrived ahead of sunrise by an hour and our driver guide, Batur made sure we were parked at a good height to catch the sunrise. His hospitality was on point amd hence 5 stars for his service and earnesty...not an easy drive up this rather rocky journey but it was worth it!
We had an amazing experience on our Mount Batur sunrise tour! Our drivers Lanang and Jero were incredibly friendly, punctual, and made the whole trip easy and enjoyable from start to finish. Lanang picked us up and made sure we were comfortable during the ride. He shared interesting facts about Bali and Mount Batur along the way, and even helped us arrange a local breakfast with a great view after the hike. The car was clean, safe, and the whole trip felt very well organized. Highly recommend this tour — they made the early wake-up totally worth it! 🌋🌅
We had an amazing trip with Liang (our driver from Ubud to the mountain base) and Raka (our jeep driver). They are both fantastic and friendly guides. Exceptional views and a great experience. We would definitely recommend. Our jeep driver was also an amazing photographer and gave us lots of tips to take some nice photos.
I truly enjoyed the experience with this jeep tour! my driver, komang, was so nice to me. he drove safely and ensured that i was okay throughout the rocky roads. he even helped to take good pictures of me and it turned out AMAZING. he also served breakfast for me (banana bread, choc wafer, egg and tea) and i really loved it. The host (gede) was very friendly and took a lot of pictures. He kept giving us posing ideas and did not get tired of making them. He was very nice and asked if we were okay every now and then. It's a very fun experience since you’re climbing the mountains early on a jeep. I recommend this activity.

We were really happy with our tour! Our guide explained everything about the lava and surrounding area so well and made the experience even more interesting. He also took great photos of us even though we’re pretty unco with photos 😂 Only small thing is we didn’t get to see the sunrise, but that’s not their fault we just came during rainy season! I booked the sunset trip considering the lower crowd and old parents. It was my first time seeing a volcano and the scenery was stunning. Our guide, literary saved the trip with his skills, professionalism and photography skills. He was extra careful with my parents.
The Jeep driver, Dewa, is very good and patient. His driving skills are excellent, and he's also a great photographer. He patiently took many photos for me and even gave me posing tips. The private car driver, Agung, is also very good. He thoughtfully asked if I needed to go to a convenience store and shared his snacks with me.
Very grateful to have had Mk as our drivers for the Mount Batur jeep tour. They were genuinely enthusiastic and took the time to explain the local agriculture and surroundings, patiently answering our questions What stood out was the extra effort they put in. They didn’t just take quick photos — they helped us get great shots and even edited photos and videos for us.
I had a great trip, although the only downside was the old car. Nevertheless, it was still worth the money. I could do it again someday.

We had an amazing Sunrire Jeep Tour with Gustu, our local jeep driver in Kintamani. He was very kind, safe and an excellent photographer! We felt like we were having our photographs taken again for our engagement shoot. He was communicative on what was going to happen next even though he said he was still learning English, we had no problems chatting. Would highly recommend this tour and then excursion to the white water rafting!

Nice day trip, getting up early was rewarded by the spectacular view at MT. Batur. We were warmly welcomed by Dewa and quickly guided to De who took us by jeep to MT. Batur, where we were welcomed with coffee and tea. De took great photos, he was a good driver but also a good photographer. We were able to set the pace ourselves and help decide when to move on to the next activity. Both drivers were very helpful and loyal, always waiting for us without wasting any time. Very friendly!
Adiartana was excellent and was very helpful and accomodating to what we needed. The Jeep Sunrise tour was exceptional. Definitely would recommend doing this trip with Adiartana. We had a great time off reading up the mountain and also across the black lava. We will definitely be back to Bali and this will be on our list for next time as well
Had an amazing time watching the sunrise. Our driver, Komang, was great fun. Drove really well, and we felt really comfortable with him. He let us set the pace for how long we wanted to stay in the area. He took a few pictures of us with the sunrise and the jeep, which was good. He was also not pushy with the photos compared to other Jeep drivers, which we really appreciated. The experience is amazing and well worth doing. Just be aware of the amount of people getting content for their Socials.
In morning, our tour guide Endri came to pick us up on time. her drive skill is smooth,gentle and fast. We were picked up early in the morning by our chipper and happy driver Nata who took us to the starting point for the jeep tour and handed us over to Kadek who was very attentive and cautious as hd took us up the mountain and helped us get a great view and something to eat. He then became our part time photographer to assist us to capture the moments while also pointing out the mountains. We enjoyed our bumpy ride to the lava fields. We had a blast, was completely worth the early morning wake up
