Simply Amazing. Hari and Awan were fun and informative and when my wife took a slight tumble they were there immediately to help with first aide. Coordinating the pick up was a breeze, lunch was delicious and the mid-way stop for coconut was a welcome surprise. 10/10 would go again. All admissions fees were paid for you as part of the tour, the only real downside was we had so much fun it felt a little short. (Got picked up at 7:20am and dropped off back by noon) Best for those with some biking experience as the road can get bumpy and steep. Overall though, as all things in Bali from my experience so far, everyone was friendly and helpful and well worth the price of admission.

Absolutely amazing experience. Very friendly and professional guide and driver 😊 Would recommend this service to all, especially solo travelers. Beautiful lunch also 💙 Thank you!!💜🩵
This was our 2nd tour with this company and cannot praise them highly enough. We cycled a different route today through the most beautiful scenery and a real taste of rural life here. We visited a family's Balinese home which was absolutely stunning and such a privilege to see their garden and were grateful for the refreshments on offer. Opportunity to buy wood carving from the lovely gentleman who lived there. We stopped off at a temple and our guide was so informative and we enjoyed the time there. We chose a more challenging cycle route back and felt like we were out in the jungle at times but all the way we we were being advised on safety tips and big shout out to the 2 amazing guides who also took photos of us in the saddle and emailed pics over to us. Finished off with a fabulous lunch 😋
Amazing experience!!! Everything was great. They picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the place to get the bikes. All equipment was in good shape. For the bike tour, the electric bike was really helpful. But the most amazing thing was both our tour guides! They helped me a lot with the bike riding during difficult roads and I always felt safe. Really recommend it!!! I would do it all over again.
Well organised ride with knowledgeable guide & cater to all riding abilities. Recommended.
Edy was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and handled the monkeys at the temple for us.
Greta experience even for my elderly parents!
Well organised, great route, good bikes and equipment. Very interesting and enjoyable.
Second time doing this excursion and it is still my favorite local experience.
Great tour to get amongst the Balinese culture, the tour guides were very informative.
We had a wonderful e-bike tour. The guide spoke excellent English and explained everything clearly. Our group included people of different ages, and the guide made sure everyone was comfortable by taking short walking breaks and waiting for those who needed a little more time. We also stopped for a drink, and the swing was a fun extra for taking some great photos. We were picked up from our accommodation and dropped off again afterwards. It wasn’t a problem that we were staying at different hotels. It was a great trip and we highly recommend it! The only downside was booking through Tripadvisor. It seemed as if the date was available and we paid for 9 people. Then it turned out that the spot was not available and it took a lot of effort to cancel. It is now also taking a few days to get the money back.
TOURISTS BEWARE — enjoyable tour, but a deeply disappointing and deceptive ending. The tour itself began very positively. We genuinely enjoyed much of the experience and felt that we had built a warm rapport with our guide. He shared aspects of Balinese culture with us, spoke about sincerity and karma, and created what initially felt like an authentic and thoughtful experience. Unfortunately, that trust made what happened next even more disappointing. Towards the end of the tour, we were taken on a supposed “surprise” visit to a coffee plantation. We were told this was a real plantation where coffee was grown, processed and produced. In reality, it appeared to be a small staged garden display rather than a genuine working coffee plantation. The experience felt carefully designed to give tourists the impression that they were seeing authentic local production, when the products being sold appeared to be mass-produced packaged goods rather than coffee and teas genuinely produced from that site. We were given a “free tasting” of very sweet teas and coffees, then directed towards purchasing expensive packaged products and kopi luwak represented as wild-sourced. The samples we were served did not seem to match the products being sold. The packaged teas and coffees appeared to contain large amounts of sugar, flavourings, fillers and artificial or non-premium ingredients, rather than the pure local products they were presented as. This made the whole experience feel misleading. After researching kopi luwak tourism in Bali afterwards, I became even more uncomfortable with what we had been shown and told. There are well-documented concerns around captive civets, misleading “wild-sourced” claims, and coffee tastings being used as a sales mechanism for tourists. Most distressing was the animal welfare. There was a snake described as a “rescue”, two civets being kept in conditions that appeared completely inappropriate, and a nocturnal fruit bat that looked visibly distressed. Seeing animals used in this way as part of a tourist sales stop was upsetting and completely changed how we felt about the day. What was most disappointing, however, was the feeling of being knowingly exploited after trust and rapport had already been established. We had spent the day believing our guide was being sincere with us, only to then be taken to a place that felt deceptive, unethical and commercially motivated. We later learnt that drivers and guides in Bali are commonly reported to receive commission for bringing tourists to these types of businesses. The experience certainly left us feeling that our trust had been used for someone else’s personal gain. That is what felt most disheartening. After speaking with us about culture, sincerity and karma, it felt incredibly contradictory to then knowingly take customers to a place like this, where tourists are given the impression they are visiting an authentic plantation, pressured into buying overpriced mass-produced products under questionable pretences, and exposed to animals that appear to be exploited for profit. Had this stop been disclosed honestly beforehand, we would have declined. Instead, it was introduced after rapport had already been built, which made the whole experience feel manipulative. The earlier parts of the tour were enjoyable, but I cannot recommend any tour operator that takes guests to places like this. Tourists should be very cautious of “surprise” coffee plantation visits, especially those involving kopi luwak, caged civets, distressed wildlife, free tastings, inflated prices, questionable product claims and high-pressure sales. Very disappointing.
We had an awesome day with Ubud Cycling Tours. It was all very well organised, starting from when we sent a booking enquiry, to the point where we were dropped off at our hotel again. Ketut, our guide was very knowledgeable and taught as many things about Bali and the Balinese culture. It was great, to have two guides as well so we were able to cross streets safely. The cycle tour through the back streets of Ubud through the rice fields was also beautiful. It was great to cycle through some old villages as well and visit a house to see how a Balinese family actually lives. As we didn't want to take the cleansing at the temple as it was very busy, we went to a coffee place next door, which was also great. Degung our driver was also great in driving us around safely and waiting for us while we explored Ubud a bit more after the tour. So can highly recommend the company and this tour.
Fantastic bike tour in Bali! Everything was perfectly organized, from hotel pick-up to the temple visit. Our guides were amazing — very knowledgeable and friendly. The visit to a traditional Balinese house was a real highlight, and Tirta Empul was a unique experience. The coffee plantation stop was a great bonus. Highly recommend!
Absolutely excellent. The bikes are great! It’s true don’t need to pedal if you don’t want to. There were some steep sections in the jungle section and we were well guided and walked the bike a few metres (15) when I felt might be better to do so. Scenery was magical amongst the rice fields. Thanks to all our guides and support vehicle too!!!!
Great ride through the rice fields and hidden villages on small paths with mostly no vehicle traffic. Operators have an excellent setup for safety where they follow you in a golf cart type buggie where you can leave personal items. My wife didn’t want to ride on the high traffic streets at all so when those moments occurred they loaded her bike onto the buggie and she rode with them. Perfect solution. Guides where very knowledgeable in all things Bali including the history, customs, traditions, rice growing and more. Well worth it.
Ketuk and the team were so much fun. They imparted lots of great facts, checked in to make sure we were going ok and kept us safe. The experience was amazing, we got to see a beautiful part of the Bali community. The purification ceremony was an uplifting experience. We highly recommend this tour, the e-bikes were easy to operate and made the tour do-able for all ages and fitness levels
Absolutely recommend this company. We did the Tirta Empul ride. This is the best way to see the stunning scenery and gain a little insight into the culture and beautiful community. The team were professional, informative and we felt safe in their guidance. Thank you for an amazing day.😊🙏🏼
The tour exceeded my expectations. The bikes were fabulous; I had no idea how easy they were to use and get up hills. We enjoyed the route and the variety of experiences on the tour. The guides were exemplary catering to all our needs and giving us plenty of useful and interesting information. The only thing that let the tour down was the weather but that’s in the lap of the gods and we were just unlucky. We were provided with rain ponchos were worked reasonably well!
Wonderful ebike tour of Bali Ubud and our guides Gusti and Suar (Komang) were exceptional in taking care of us to ensure our safety and sharing Bali cultural information. We biked along roads to see local rice fields, the water purification Tirta Empul temple and ceremony, visited a local Balinese family compound, and had a Balinese lunch. Definitely recommend! We had a private tour with 2 guides and the vehicle following our small group which came in handy when one wanted to end their ride so they were able to take them into the vehicle and their bike. We learned about Balinese family life and even their funeral and cremation rituals as well as the purification ceremonies. Excellent tour company for ebiking in Ubud
What a special experience. I so highly recommend. The guides were amazing and the views spectacular. My 11 year old loved the thrill of riding an electric bike in some challenging areas. It was safe but exciting.
Such a great experience, wealth of knowledge from the guides with very good English and communication skills. Highly recommend, and will be coming back again
Our group of nine did the Tirta Empul e-bike tour with eBikes Bali, and it ended up being the absolute highlight of all our sightseeing around Ubud. Awan was a fantastic guid, his English is very good, and he made the day engaging, fun, and meaningful. Yani and Ketut were also incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the tour. We visited a traditional family compound and learned how a typical Balinese family lives. It was so interesting and, honestly for me, life-changing. Hearing about their values inspired me to move forward in my own life with more gratitude and to remember to pray when I’m happy, not just when I need something. All of this… from an e-bike ride! Two people in our group participated in the purification ritual at Tirta Empul, and most of us wished we had joined them. We also enjoyed the coffee and tea tasting afterward Almost all of us purchased something to bring home. I highly, highly recommend eBikes Bali. If you’re looking for something unique, cultural, and uplifting, this is it.
Our group of nine absolutely loved our e-bike adventure! The ride itself was beautiful , we biked through rice fields, villages, and incredible scenery . What really made it special was our guide Awan, who was fantastic. We learned so much about Balinese culture, daily life, and traditions along the way. A big thank-you as well to Wid and Yani, who were so helpful, and to our two drivers for being punctual and professional. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. We wouldn’t change a thing it was one of the highlights of our trip! Highly recommend E-Bikes Bali to anyone looking for an authentic, fun, and easy way to experience the real Bali.
We went today on the Tirta Empul Water Temple Tour with our guides Suar and Ajus. It was a beautiful morning along quiet roads and the best view. The e-bikes were great and easy to ride. We were a group of 5 people. Very well organized from the pick up at the hotel to the very end. Visit at the Temple and the food were also very nice. Highly recommended!
Super few hours biking with our guides Cartu , Hari & the back up team. Taking in rice fields, a Villa home visit & Tirtu Water Temple and then finishing with a splendid lunch at a local restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The team were considerate & very knowledgeable and safety was paramount. What a great morning! Thankyou 😃
My wife and I took the E bike temple tour, and it was fabulous! Our hosts, Ketut and Hari, were friendly and helpful and provided a safe tour with tons of information and local knowledge. The tour took us out of the hustle and bustle of Ubud tourist area, and into the local villages and neighborhoods and rice terraces. On regular bikes, this ride would have been very challenging with all of the hills and narrow roads, but the E bikes made it comfortable and really fun! I highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Ubud!
Fabulous e-bike tour to Tirta Empul. Our guides, Awan and Suar, were very knowledgeable and took time to explain what we were seeing as well as help navigate big hills (including pushing bikes uphill in two tricky spots). The trip is largely on small roads through very picturesque and quiet villages so it feels like you are seeing a more authentic side of Ubud. The e-bikes are great and allow you to get exercise but also have some help when needed. Highly recommended by our whole group (adults and teenagers).
An excellent experience with Awan and Yani. After some preliminary bike fitting and explanation we were off onto the small winding roads in the rural area outside of Ubud. The roads were mostly paved with very little traffic. My wife and I were the only customers for this tour, and we were well looked after by our two guides with a third person as a support driver in the buggy behind. Needless to say, with that amount of attention we felt safe the whole time. Awan was amazing with detailed commentary and insights into the people, their way of life and religion. The riding was great fun, and with the e-bikes you don’t need to be an experienced dodger. 11/10 from me
What a fantastic way to view Ubud surroundings and get some fresh air and exercise too! Ajus and Widi were great guides and very friendly. Ajus shared lots of interesting information and local knowledge and culture. Lunch was lovely as was the visit to a locals home.
Excellent bike ride through rural villages off the beaten track. We visited a Bali home and were welcomed by the family, Sewar our guide, described the way a home was built with the family temple and who lives there.
The e-bikes were the only way to go!!!! Excellent company. It rained literally the whole day but it was wonderful! The whole crew were amazing from booking, quality of equipment, knowledge and experience!!!!! Special thanks to ANILIA, WIDI and FEBRI!!! Terima kasih banjak!! 🙏
This tour was incredible, through small villages and countryside to the Tirta Empul temple where you can have a purification. We visited a family home with a wonderful view and snacks and got lots of information about like in Bali, the spiritual practices of Balinese Hindus and about farming practices. The Ebikes are powerful and can get up very steep rugged inclines. There is also a transport vehicle incase you’re not up to the more advanced routes. The guides were spectacular, so kind and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Amazing experience! Had a very friendly and kind driver to start and end the day. The tour itself was wonderful, I enjoyed it all and we had guides who took great care of us. Delicious lunch to end the tour too.
Had the best time. Tour guides Ajus and Melta and driver were excellent. Felt safe at all times and well looked after. Visit to home for refreshments was a pleasant surprise and views amazing. Lunch was very tasty. Had a fantastic time! Definitely recommend.
Wonderful experience. Lots of fun and laughs, beautiful scenery and the tour guides were so helpful and informative. It was a fabulous morning. Thank you all for giving us the opportunity to create a lasting memory
Excellent, well organised, good bikes and a nice route - lunch was also very good and supplying water was also good. And the guides were really nice
Took the time for us to enjoy all the scenic spots on the tour and waited for us as we wanted to bathe at the temple. Enjoyed the knowledge of the local area too and the e bikes made everything easy
Easy ride out to villages, rice fields and temple. It was good to leave bags with driver who followed the group. Gunta the guide knew lots of information along the way and enjoyed answering questions. Worth every Cent, Rupiah or whatever!
This was the best activity we could possibly have done whilst in Ubud. We are a family of four with two teenagers and it was a real treat to get out into the rice paddies and quiet local streets. Our guide, Gusti, was wonderful, full of information and stories, and he was supported but his colleague, Harry, who cycled behind to make sure we were all ok and stepped out to stop traffic when it was necessary to cross the busier roads AND took load of pictures of us slo g the way which were shared after the activity. I’d never ridden an e-bike before and I loved it. We could pedal when we wanted or travel under power to help up the hills. This is a one way trip, with the final destination being the Tirta Empul Water Temple and stopping to have a snack at the home of a local family - also a very beautiful experience. After the temple, we were driven in a buggy for a delicious lunch at a local outdoors restaurant and then back to base in a car. We were very well looked after, bottles of water were provided and the buggy even followed in case the cycling became too much for anyone - which it was never in danger of doing! Thank you Gusti and team for the highlight of our visit to Ubud.
This was an awesome bike tour with great views. Gusti was a fantastic guide, and was very knowledgeable and good at explaining the different sights we encountered. We were picked up by our own driver in Ubud and he was there waiting when we finished, which we appreciated.
Great trip can highly recommend it. Nice to get out of all the traffic. Awan was very informative and we learnt a lot about Bali. He was also very patient on the bikes. We particularly liked visiting the private home and hearing more about how family's live together with the different generations. Well worth doing.
Brilliant morning with the team. Great fun. I recommend doing the water purification ceremony. We were really well looked after - thank you!
We had the most fabulous e-bike trip , 20kms through Real Bali. We biked through small villages and rice fields. We waved at locals and the children we passed waved back and greeted us with hellos. The tour guide and his two helpers were superb, we visited a locals house (amazing to be welcomed in to a private home) and also a famous temple, lunch included at the end. The helpers took photos enroute and helped when crossing roads when we had to. A lot of the ride was along quiet paths with no cars. Our guide told us so much about culture and history. This trip is a must do , there were 6 in our family and we all had a fantastic jaw dropping trip , fantastic scenery. 10 out of 10! We would definitely go on the same trip again if we come back to Bali
We had the best half day doing this tour! Our guides were so attentive to our needs and very knowledgable. We were only a group of 6 which made it very intimate. Was so cool to see the rice fields in this way - 100% recommend
It was brilliant. The bikes worked well, thank god for electric on some of the hills. I love history and our guide was very well informed. Lunch was wonderful and the kids had a ball. I highly recommend
Our Bali bike riding tour was an unforgettable experience that beautifully combined culture, adventure, and fun. From start to finish, the tour was incredibly well-organised and offered the perfect balance of scenic cycling, cultural insight, and local hospitality. Our guide, Guna, was nothing short of exceptional. His knowledge of Balinese traditions, history, and daily life added so much depth to the journey. He shared stories with warmth and humour, making every stop along the way not only informative but deeply engaging. Guna’s passion for his culture and his care for the group were truly evident — we felt safe, welcomed, and constantly inspired by his insights. The ride itself took us through lush rice paddies, small traditional villages, and stunning countryside. It was a gentle ride, suitable for most fitness levels, with plenty of stops for photos, rest, and exploration. One of the highlights was visiting a local family compound where we learned about Balinese customs and daily routines — an authentic experience that we’ll treasure. We also enjoyed a delicious traditional lunch in a serene setting, which was the perfect way to end a magical day. This tour is a must-do for anyone wanting to see the real Bali beyond the resorts. It’s educational, uplifting, and so much fun. Huge thanks to Guna and the team for creating such a meaningful and memorable experience. Highly recommended!
One of the highlights of my trip to Bali! This electric cycling tour was so much fun and a great way to explore local Ubud. We passed beautiful rice paddies and stopped along the way to learn about Balinese culture. The ride itself was intermediate level: not too physically demanding thanks to the electric assist, but there were lots of hills, narrow roads with traffic, and bumpy sections with potholes, so biking experience is recommended. We also visited a traditional Balinese home, enjoyed a snack with a stunning jungle view, and ended with an informative tour of Tirta Empul Temple where we learned about the religious rituals. Highly recommend for those looking for a mix of adventure, culture, and scenery!
This eBike tour was really enjoyable. Our guides, Gusti and Anilia, were relaxed, friendly and very informative about local culture. We learned a lot whilst cruising through beautiful scenery and local villages as people went about their daily lives. The water temple is over 1000 years old and feels very special. It was a beautiful experience immersing ourselves into the pure, naturally flowing spring water baths, complete with a prayer and offering in the traditional way. The tour concluded with a delicious lunch overlooking scenic rice paddies. I highly recommend it. Thank you again to Gusti and Anilia 🙏🌞 Vivienne and David
Widi was an excellent guide . Really friendly , informative (we learned more about Balinese culture than any other Guide we've ever had ) , great support throughout our ride ,very safe and back up provided . Widi's love and passion for what he does and his culture shows . Went to see a rice field , a traditional home (stunning) and the Temple . Water was provided and finished with a delicious lunch . Excellent day .
