Half-day Tour : Tanah Lot Sunset Tour

Beautiful place to visit. We had plenty of time to wander around and enjoy the temples. We were picked up and dropped off at our villa. Our driver took care of us for the entire trip.

It was an immersive experience. The sights, the people, it gave me a true insight into Indonesian culture. Worth the money.

A quiet tour, would be good to have a bit more information about the temples and the cultural history

We had incredible afternoon and evening visiting Taman Ayub and Tanah Lot with Yudi, an expert guide, who was just incredibly thoughtful and committed to us having a memorable experience. While Tanah Lot is perhaps much more popular destination amongst tourists, Taman Ayun is a hidden gem. Extremely aesthetic and very well, preserved architecture that is embedded within an incredibly beautiful landscape. It should be saved over a few hours. It’s also perfect to just sit and meditate and become one with the surroundings. We were taken just time for the sunset at Tanah Lot. The large number of tourists clearly underscores the popularity of this destination.

It was amazing. Kojek was so nice, he drove us around the entire day. He took pictures and was really fun to hang out with. The tour itself was also amazing.

Good, safe driver. It was a very slow drive but due to traffic. He was waiting for us on time at the designated spot. Air con and music good but seats a little uncomfortable. Happy with the tour.

The afternoon trip to Tama Ayun and Tanah Lot were great. Despite the island heat and crowds, I still enjoyed the peacefulness of the temples. My guide Sigi was much helpful and accompanied me along the way. Overall, I'd recommend this activity for those who would like to step outside of the busy Ubud town for a short while.

Sigi was an amazing tour guide and showed up early and drove us safely to all destinations.

My driver Wire was excellent. I felt very comfortable and nice vehicle. The temples were stunning. Would definitely recommend.

The guy who drove me there was great but sincerly the temple is nothing.. You can't even entered in, so the price is just for taxi and some further information.. Don't know I expect more from this visit but the temple is sincerly just a view..

For the most part this was an exceptional experience and I would’ve given it a full five stars if it weren’t for the company not replying to me when I had an issue I raised. The tour itself was great. The two locations are extremely beautiful and my driver was extremely knowledgeable and was happy to tell me about the history and culture. My issue was that when I booked it, it said both locations entrance fee was included (I took screen grabs to prove it) but when I spoke to the driver, he said he was informed they weren’t. This man is getting a fraction of the fee and so I wasn’t going to argue with him or have him out of pocket so I tried contacting the company to clear it up and they never replied. It’s something I’ve noticed with three of my Viator trips I’ve booked. My advice is the day before you are to travel, speak to the booker and clear everything up and make sure you know what exactly you’re paying for.

Hiring a local who knows everything there is about their home and culture was one of the reasons I booked this trip. And this tour was no exception. Dila was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with me and respected when I just wanted to look out the window and gaze silently at the natural beauty. When it came to Taman Ayun Temple, he gave me the option to explore together or solo and I was happy enough to do the latter. It was really beautiful and a nice quiet time of the day too. Then it was on to Tanah Lot which everyone raves about. And it definitely didn’t disappoint. We arrived around 4pm and if we wanted to see the sunset, we would have had to wait for two hours and given how busy it was, I was happy enough to just explore the area and leave without fighting though all the Influencers trying to pretend they just happened upon a beautiful temple at sunset. Beautiful architecture and history which Dila was happy to share with me. All in all it was an incredible day and I would wholeheartedly recommend. And if you can request Dila! Yo won’t be disappointed.

Yudi took us on a 1/2 day temple tour. His English was very good and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the temples. We learned a lot from him. Thanks Yudi!

Our guide, Dila, was fantastic! He was with us throughout our tour and knew all about the temples and shared lots of information with us. He came to our meeting spot before the meeting time and was so kind and polite. A word of advice watch out for the low tide and the phases of the moon if you want to visit the temple. Due to the full mood we couldn't visit inside Tanah Lot. Regarding the tour operator: they were hard to reach via tripadvisor. Our messeges were left unresponded. As a solution we searched the agency on the internet and contacted them via whatsapp.

Although rainy Dila my guide made the best of our tour. We improvised with a delicious lunch and set off to Tanah Lot for an amazing sunset. Definitely will recommend!!!

We had a wonderful half-day trip to Tanah Lot Temple and our experience couldn’t have been better. Our guide and driver, Arta Yoga, made the tour truly special. He picked us up right on time, drove very safely, and shared so much interesting knowledge about Balinese temples, culture, and daily life along the way. At the temples he explained the history and spiritual significance of the temples in a way that was both informative and easy to understand. He also knew the best spots for photos and helped us avoid the crowds. Arta was incredibly kind, patient, and genuine throughout the trip. We came away not only with beautiful memories and pictures but also with a deeper appreciation for Balinese culture. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a smooth, insightful, and enjoyable tour!

Our drive Dila was an amazing driver from start to finish. He spoked about the history of Bali and how their religion of Hinduism is practiced. When we got to the Tanah lot temple he spoke about the history of it and took awesome pics of me and my husband. He waited patiently for us as we took our time to explore around. He also took us shopping and waited over an hr for us to do our thing. Overall Deli was very hands on, patient, kind, friendly, and an amazing person. Safe driver too! Thanks DELI

It was great to visit the Taman Ayun Temple. Walking around the grounds was eye opening. The next stop was the Tanah Lot temple but you don’t actually go to the temple you only view it from afar. Check the weather before you book so you at least get a chance to see the sunset as a cloudy afternoon won’t be as spectacular. Also leave time to visit the awesome markets there.

Our experience with this excursion has been a phenomenal. Our tour guide Dila was phenomenal and was so fun to hang out with. I wish the dress code for the temple was more clear on the listing but Dila helped us out with getting in. It also started raining and Dila was prepared with umbrellas. The views are stunning and Dilla was able to take amazing pictures of me and my new wife. This is a must do for a first-time Bali trip

Totally recommend this trip to Tanah Lot. Gung Basir was our driver and was very friendly and knowledgeable when we visited temples and had lots of laughs and good conversation. AA++ ❤️

The driver arrived early, which was a great start. Tanah Lot and the surrounding areas were absolutely beautiful and worth exploring. Unfortunately, the sunset wasn’t as spectacular as hoped, but I still made the most of the experience.

Absolutely dreadful booking experience...charged for entrance fees which Web site and ticket show as included. No bottled water as also stated. Simply abandoned by guide at the stops. May as well just book a taxi as that's what you get. AVOID at all costs.

We really enjoyed this tour. Our driver Dila was excellent. He picked us up from our hotel on time and Guided us around Tanah Lot giving us information and advice about the best place to see the sunset. We asked him to take us to a good restaurant on the way back to the hotel and he took us to a very good restaurant with a beautiful setting, good food and pricing. We recommend this tour and if the drivers are all as good as Dila then you will have an excellent time. The only negative is the Bali traffic, but Dila navigated it well.

Be careful about booking this tour on the understanding that you can cancel and get a refund. We requested a cancelation within the advertised timeframe to get a full refund. The tour operator was deceptive in that he delayed responding to our cancelation and refund request so that we now have to deal with customer service. I do not rate my chances of getting the refund we are entitled to.

A mess. The main issue was our tour guide. We were promised a tour guide who could speak English. Unfortunately, only about 20% of what he said was comprehensible and of what was said he was either rude, confused about dates or when historical events occurred, or unnecessarily pushy about what we did, photos we took etc. inappropriately touched and put on sarong on my sister without getting permission. She was clearly uncomfortable. We ended the day early just to get away from him. Before we even left the hotel compound he was asking us to book him for another tour the next day. Smoked in vehicle as well. We were extremely disappointed with our experience, and this was by far the worst trip advisor tour I have ever been on.

Gung was an awesome tour guide. He was kind and made all the efforts to make the tour enjoyable and special! Both sites were beautiful and worth going to. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in history and the beauty of Bali and its culture.

We booked this tour at the last minute to try and get more site-seeing in our trip. Our guide Mr. Mery was very knowledgeable and was able to give us the history and significance of the Tanah Lot Temple and the Taman Ayun Temple. I highly recommend this tour but my only reservation is book the tour when you are in the southern part of the island. We were in Ubud and you spend a lot of time in the car and in traffic.

Our guide John was very welcoming and kind, knowledgeable on all of the balinese culture and traditions, and good conversation skills. Would recommend, tanah lot is a must see and definitely look for John if you need a guide.
