Best time ,great people we met to ride with . Top, friendly guide with lots of good learning the culture on the way . Awesome hidden spots! Would do it again!!
Wyan was such a great guide! We felt so taken care of, he helped us with the bikes made sure we felt comfortable, when one of us had a little slip or fall he made sure we were okay first and foremost. He spoke excellent English and was so knowledgeable, we had some really great chats about Bali. The bikes were really cool, mostly electric but some peddling needing when going up hills. The tour was great, riding through the streets of Ubud (including the main streets!), through the back streets, stopping at tegalalang rice fields, followed by a coffee plantation then heading back into the main part of ubud for lunch. The price was absolutely worth it, slow tourist season so it was just the two of us and Wyan so was pretty much a private tour. Wyan also took photos and videos of us throughout so we didn’t need to take our phones out and just enjoyed the experience! He sent them to us on WhatsApp at the end.
This is a fantastic day, definitely a highlight of our trip. Our guide was Kadek and he is super knowledge and really friendly and made sure we were all happy and safe. We saw the local rice paddys and the UNESCO rice paddys, visited a coffee planatation with the Luwak coffee and visited a local family home which was really interesting. We finished with a delicious lunch. Kadek also gives you a video of your tour which is a great keepsake and reminder. This was the second bike tour I have done with Kadek and I would go again.
So much fun! I love everything about this tour. Tour guide very informative and help you with the busy streets
The activity was one of the most memorable ones at Bali - highly recommend this. Kadek and Wayang were amazing hosts and ensured that we saw the best spots while ensuring safety for all of us!
A great morning exploring Ubud and the surrounds. Kedek was a brilliant guide, very informative, and the different stops were very interesting. I highly recommend the E-Bike tour while in ubud!
Excellent trip which all 4 of us loved, especially our two teenage sons. We got a real sense of the true Ubud, cycling through the town, cycling amongst paddy fields and eating a delicious meal at a traditional restaurant at the end of it, Our guides were excellent. A fantastic 1/2 day trip that we would thoroughly recommend.
Riding through rice fields and local villages with our guide was a magical experience. The e-bikes made it super easy, even for someone like me who’s not very sporty. Highly recommended if you want to see the real Bali beyond the tourist areas
Kadek was an amazing guide, sharing lots of local knowledge. Bikes were great. Pedal or not pedal - up to you! Beautiful scenery and lots of friendly locals along the way. Enjoyed the hustle and bustle of Ubud Centre, as well as serenity of the rice fields. Will definitely do again! Thankyou Kadek :) PS. Ask about private tour for a little extra cost
My wife and I took this tour to get out in the town and surrounding villages to see the culture. It was done at a nice leisurely pace so at almost 60 and we hadn't been on bikes in a long time it was a perfect mix of riding and stopping to site-see. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was taking video's of us riding along the way. The rice terraces were beautiful along with the Bali countryside. I highly recommend taking this tour.
It was a great tour of Ubud rice terraces and local villages/temples! Our two tour guides were very focused on our safety when going on bigger roads. We had amazing videos of us taken by the tour guides too so we didn't even need to worry about taking our phones out to capture the beautiful ride and moments. We took plenty of breaks, to stop at local villages and temples. To top it all off, we had nasi campur at a local restaurant nearby the drop off point which was delicious. The bikes we very powerful and fully electric - You don't actually need to pedal, there is an accelerate button which you can press to move forward. The bikes are big and sturdy, with big tyres. One thing to consider: there is quite a bit of on the roads riding to get to the rice terraces which means riding next to cars and motorbikes. So I advise asking for helmets for extra protection!
All bikes were the same size so not ideal for shorter people. One of the bikes was not charged fully so in fact was not electric for more than half of the trip. Most of the time was spent on busy main roads so was not enjoyable at all. The main problem was no helmets were supplied. And the promised snack was a banana and dried biscuits. Would not recommend going on this one.
Really fun bike ride through incredible nature with a great guide (Wayan). Having an ebike was so much easier than pedalling in this heat and humidity. Stopping off at an idyllic rice terrace with use of a free swing too, followed by a really nice local meal at a restaurant in ubud, the food was really good.
Wow, what an amazing tour this was! Really got to see Ubud in a different way from riding through it. Our guide Kadek Lanying was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly! He really made this tour very memorable for us, taking great video and pictures the entire time. At the end of the tour, Kadek took us to a wonderful warung where we had delicious, local food for lunch and he surprised us by giving us a beautifully edited cut of video footage from the day...his filming and editing skills are quite impressive! This tour and our guide Kadek surpassed our expectations, we highly recommend!
Its a great experience to enjoy the beauty of Ubud with an electric bike. Staff was nice and very helpful. Totally worth the price⭐⭐
My EgoBike adventure through Ubud was an absolute dream! The lush green rice terraces, hidden temples, and charming villages were breathtaking. The bike was easy to handle and comfortable to ride, even for a beginner like me. The staff at EgoBike and the Guide name Wayan were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with tips and recommendations along the way. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Ubud!
This is a great tour, but at times not for the faint hearted. Our guide Kadek was brilliant. He took us on a fascinating tour through Ubud, visiting a local school, the rice fields, a Unesco heritage site and then ending up with a simple but superb lunch in a local restaurant. Kadek and his colleague were very kind when my wife decided that biking was not for her and quickly came up with the solution of a pillion seat ride so she didn't miss out. Kadek took and shared multiple videos and photos which are great reminders of a fun and interesting morning out.
We booked this tour through a different agency and wanted to warn other travelers that you need to bike 2 kilometers through heavy Ubud traffic, to get to the rice fields. This wasn't disclosed anywhere in the tour description. If you're experienced riding bikes in heavy traffic, that won't be a problem. We aren't experienced with bike riding in Ubud-caliber crazy traffic, and that portion of the tour was not fun at all. After almost getting hit by a scooter, we decided to stop the tour unfortunately, for our safety, before we got to the rice fields. The guide Wayan was very understanding and offered to take care of returning the bikes. His manager at Egobikes though, refused to provide any sort of partial refund, even though we hadn't even started the advertised "rice fields" tour, we hadn't had the lunch included in the package, and weren't going to use the transfer back. Something else to note: unlike regular bikes, the ebike saddles were not height-adjustable. If you have longer legs, riding them might feel odd.
Wayan our guide was incredible! Had an amazing tour going through many different areas - villages, rice fields, the market! Great lunch and the video made for us was the absolute highlight of our trip. Thanks.
It was a great experience. The scenery was beautiful, it was easy to ride with the e-bike and our guide, Kadek, was just fantastic. He made sure everything was fine, took nice pictures, and shared a lot about the local culture and his experience.
We signed up for the half-day electric bike tour which was led by Wayan. He was extremely knowledgable and we learnt a lot more about Bali during our time with him. Wayan also helped to take pictures of us while we were riding for memory's sake! Even though there were portions of the trip where traffic got a little bit heavier, Wayan made sure that we were able to weave through and kept us safe throughout. It was our first time riding E-bikes and after a few minutes of getting used to, it is actually really easy to operate (also makes for a fun and interesting experience as well). For those who are afraid of being unable to cycle long distances, with the E in E-bikes, you would virtually only need to pedal when going upslopes. Cycling never felt any easier! During the tour, we rode past the rice terraces, had coffee/ tea tasting and finally ended with lunch at a warung where we were treated to a delicious Balinese meal. The small group setting also made it easy for us to make friends during our trip. I highly recommend this tour as it is truly the best way to explore Ubud!
We absolutely recommend this bike tour! The guide was very informative and helpful, he took the best videos of us and then quickly created a lovely montage for us. The bikes were great, we zipped around easily and had no problems. The scenery and itinerary was great- a good mix of town and country, with some hidden lanes thru rice paddies and back roads of Bali. The tour is suitable for all ages, we ranged in age from 25 to 70. We have been coming to Bali for many many years and this bike tour is one for the memory books! Highly recommended!!
Fantastic experience with a wonderful guide. Kadek was awesome - lovely, genuine and funny. Took us to some amazing places along the way and we saw some unique and interesting parts of Ubud. The Balinese lunch at the end was delicious too. He even took videos along the way that he edited while we ate and air-dropped to me at the end which was hilarious. Can't recommend this tour highly enough.
Perfect tour! And I don’t use that word lightly! Everything was great. Kadeck, the guide was one of the best guides we’ve had (best in Bali easy). He’s a great photographer so photos and videos he took were great! His English and ability to share information was great. The bikes were so good to use. I was a bit nervous about riding through Ubud but he dealt with traffic with ease and they are so easy to ride. You almost don’t need to peddle. It basically had a go button. So not tiring in the heat. The route was perfect. Beautiful fields. Great stop for water with free Bali swing, an included coffee tasting with more views. The lunch was also excellent. Usually tour food is meh but this was a great meal! Perfect day.
I loved everything! Beautiful scenery, the luwak coffee tasting was so interesting and lunch was fantastic! But best of all was the guides, Cadek and Wayan! Wonderful guys and so knowledgeable! And their e-bikes are amazing, custom built - I want one! So much fun zooming around the streets and countryside. Best tour I've done in years! So highly recommend!
Yesterday we had this great and magnificient half-day electric fat bike tour of Ubud. The bikes are superb and if you want you don't have to peddle only sometimes when you go up a steep hill. Wayan was our guide who did a really excellent job guiding us through the streets and ricefields of Ubud. Wayan is such a nice and good man and made this tour extra special and personal. Wayan took the time to explain all we wanted to know about the temple we visited and about the Hinduism. The Bali swing was great and the visit to the coffeefactory was very interesting. We ended the tour with a faboulous Balinese diner which also was included just as the hotel transfer. When you want to have a great and relaxing tour don't look any further and just book this tour through Egobike. We want to thank Wayan and his team for the great tour and wish them all the best! Cora and Rick
Firstly the bikes. They are fantastic! We were concerned that because we are all quite tall they would be hard to ride with such low sets. As it turns out the pedals are largely for ornamentation only. You could probably do the whole trip relying solely on the electrics. As such they couldn't be simpler to ride. No gears, but heaps of va-va-voom. The seats are way more comfortable than regular bike seats. No need for any mountain-biking experience, just jump on and enjoy the ride. If you're considering hiring a scooter, I recommend doing this first. It'll give you a nice easy intro to Bali traffic, and after doing the tour you may not need to go scootering as well. The tour was interesting, good guide, and the lunch was great. Lots of fun.
Booked this great e-bike tour of the rice fields guided by Kadek. Saw working rice fields as well as the IG friendly Tegallalang Tiered Rice Fields including the photo friendly swing. Kadek is a terrific, knowledgeable and very friendly guide. The excursion also included a very tasty Balinese lunch at a local eatery. Would highly recommend. Trip highlight.
We loved this trip, what it had to offer and our fantastic guides. We were initially a bit hesitant to ride these bikes through the busy streets, but felt incredibly safe under the guidance of our guides. The bikes are great and very easy to use. Helmets are provided. We recommend packing sunscreen. The experiences included, including the traditional Balinese lunch, were memorable and we highly recommend this trip to people who want to gain a deeper insight into traditional culture, particularly when exploring the rice fields, and to those who may be hesitant to ride scooters.
Everything was amazing!! The ebikes are so easy to handle, and not needing to pedal ever in the Bali heat was the best part. A very quick ride through Ubud, guide kept us very safe in the traffic, then onto some beautiful country and back roads. The coffee plantation was amazing, the rice fields we stopped at were beautiful, and then lunch was incredible also. Had so much fun with Kadek, he said "it was our tour, he was just the guide" and he was so right. Absolutely recommend to everyone
I wish there were more than five stars here to rate 10 out of 10. Thankyou so much Wayan for your kindness, your knowledge, your patience and your beautiful smile. This is an easy ride for all levels. And really got to experience the beauty and detail of outer Ubud on this tour. The electric bike allowed you to pedal as much or as little as you liked. The bikes were extremely comfortable and very well maintained. A very efficiently operated small business. Highly recommend
Great staff, very friendly and safety concious. Went to quieter rice fields aswell as Tegallalang and a temple. The highlights however were simply riding the ebikes through all the backstreets and country roads of Ubub. Teens loved it especially. Our first time on e-bikes and we have never driven scooters. Very easy to ride. Lunch was also lovely and tasty.
Go no further with your research. Book with this company. Prices are good and you get a lot for your money. The e-bikes are new and in great condition. Kadek was our tour guide and had a friend at the back of our group who helped with our safety in crossing busy streets. We always felt safe in navigating traffic with their expertise. We visited a beautiful rice paddy area, school, temple and finished with a wonderful lunch off the beaten track. Kadek made a fantastic video for me of my biking excursion. My favorite experience from my Bali trip by far. I’d do it again I’m a heartbeat.
You HAVE HAVE HAVE to do this with this company egobikes. their bikes are epic and their guide is so good. I saw others on the bigger ebike tours and I am so so so glad I went with ego bikes. It was SENSATIONAL and best thing i’ve done so far in bali and we have done rafting and ATV and all sorts!! Treat yourself, this company is awesome. They have to coolest crafted bikes too. Very very cool!
Splendid tour with very friendly and knowledgeable host Kadek. The fatbikes are easy to handle and the route is well paved so you can put your big camera on your neck to shoot every scene you ride into. This is one of the best experiences to see the real Bali. Also it is a good escape from the overcrowded city of Ubud! A must do!!
This is a fantastic way to get a real Ubud experience. Our guides were very knowledgeable of the area and each of the stops: school, rice fields, temple, cemetery, coffee plantation and we ended the ride with a beautiful meal at a hidden away cafe with traditional exquisite food. I cannot recommend this more, our favourite day in Bali so far. Suksma, Kadek.
We had a fantastic day cycling around Ubud’s outer areas of green scenery, temples, villages, a school, rice paddies and stopping often at each of these to learn about the life & culture of the people there. Kadek was a wealth of information. The lunch was one of the best meals I had in Bali! 100% recommend this tour. Kids could do it also. The electric bike does the work for you!
Whole experience was fantastic from the friendly guide to the spectacular views and how safe I felt riding around Ubud. Lunch was sensational as well as the overall experience. Would recommend anyone of any age or fitness level to do this activity.
A really great experience. The bikes were really fun and our guide Wayan was great - really interesting and helpful. Saw loads of awesome sites and really enjoyed the day. Would definitely recommend to others.
My cousins and I loved this tour so much. What an adventure! Great electric bikes, helmets are provided. Kadek and Wayan were wonderful guides and showed us so many interesting sights around Ubud. We visited temples, Tegallang UNESCO rice fields, a coffee plantation for a tasting, you can also do the Bali swings from here. We ended our ride with a delicious lunch at a local warung in Ubud. This is a 'MUST DO' activity in Bali. We were staying in JL Bisma so we could walk to start our tour. They even take photos and video of you. We felt very safe, Wayan was great at stopping the traffic when we needed to cross roads. Six stars from us all.
Awesome e bike tour around Ubud. Kadek was a brilliant tour guide, enthusiastic and was keen to make sure we had a great time. Definitely recommend
We had a blast with our friendly guide Kadek. He knew great routes through the rice fields, off the beaten touristy tracks. Next to that he also explained some interesting details about the religion, temples and rice fields. We have seen some other ebike organisations as well, but these bikes look way better than the other organisations. They are modern, very fast and good looking!
We really enjoyed the tour with our guide Kadek. Besides the great views we heard some interesting stories from Kadek. The ebikes are the top class bikes, and also very comfortable.
Just got back to our hotel after this amazing tour - not only a ‘fat’ e-bike experience but we visited a school, a temple, rode through peaceful authentic rice fields and ended with a delicious lunch. The guides were awesome, knowledgeable and good fun. Riding on the streets of Ubud was at first a little daunting but it’s surprising how quickly you get accustomed to it, and it was only a very short part of the start and end of the trip. For most of the time you’re on open roads being safely guided and well looked after. A good, fun, different way to see Ubud!
We had a fantastic tour, the bikes were enjoyable, one of the best ways to see the sights of ubud! Our tour guide Wayan was fantastic. We ended the tour with a delicious lunch
This was the best bike ride we have done in Bali. The ebikes are new and easy to ride. Our guide was fantastic & took us through local areas where we stopped to chat to local people and have coffee. The area you ride in is beautiful. I would recommend this bike ride be added to your trip.
Cadek was the best guide ever!! He took such a good care of us and made sure we were safe and happy. The e bikes were great quality and we had so much fun zipping around! Cadek also took photos and videos for us to be able to always look back on this memorable day.
An authentic experience in Ubud takes you to less touristy spots for sightseeing and food. Great way to experience Bali like a local. Our guide went the extra mile to answer any questions we have on customs, values & fruit species.
We booked this trip through our guesthouse a short walk away from the meeting point with our guide Kadek. Curiosity of the whole electric bicycle thing and the promise of doing something different to the throngs of walking and scooting tourists in Ubud led to a brilliant 4+ hours of rice fields, informative chit chat, community temples, duck farmers, young blokes wrestling each other off muddy logs and a slight adrenaline spike whilst winding through crazy Ubud traffic. A delicious meal rounded off our afternoon. Fantastic! Thank you Kadek, all the best mate.
