We were disappointed with our tour everything we wanted to do we were told it was too far even though it was shown in the pictures that we saw for the advertisement of it, also we didn’t go into Ubud because we were told there is too much traffic the only thing we did that we wanted to do was the rice terrace everything else was what the driver wanted us to do. The tour was supposed to be for 10 hours but we were dropped off 3 hours early. Maybe try another company.

Tirta was a fantastic guide for our tour of Bali. He was flexible and let us take longer at some stops and even added and suggested places for us to see. He was excellent and I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to see more of this beautiful island.

You really need the full amount of time if you want to do a few things as the drive to Ubud and back can eat up a lot of your tour time. Ubud was really hot - no breeze and it was extremely busy... We didn't really have the best time. We skipped most of our activities as it was just too hot! Ended up getting back to Seminyak 2 hours earlier. Our driver was really nice!

The custom tour was incredible and worth the day trip plus drop off at our next destination. Only way to travel through Bali!

Martin was the highlight of our Ubud trip – proper legend. We booked a custom Ubud driver tour with East Bali Tour and got incredibly lucky with Martin. From the moment he picked us up he was friendly, punctual, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. The roads around Ubud are no joke, but his driving was calm, safe and confident the entire day. We never felt rushed or like we were being herded between tourist spots. What made it special was how he actually listened. He adjusted the day to suit us as a couple, threw in a couple of quieter local spots we wouldn’t have found ourselves, and gave solid recommendations without the usual hard sell. Lunch suggestion was spot on too. He’s got that rare combo of being professional while still feeling like a genuinely nice bloke who enjoys showing people around his island. We even managed a quick photo together at one of the stops (the one with the big wings mural – Martin’s the thumbs-up legend in the middle). Couldn’t have asked for a better vibe. If you want a private driver in Ubud who actually cares about giving you a good day instead of just clocking kilometres, book Martin. We’d happily use him again tomorrow. Top marks.

We contacted our driver 24hours before our tour to confirm our arrangement and indicate the sights we would visit and the route. We thought the eight listed and suggested was too many and the route too long given the traffic and roads in Bali. We wanted to half this and keep to the northern part of Bali. We sent a google map with our plan and a request for feedback on if this was sensible. We didn't hear anything back. Ten hours later I reached out again. Eventually we heard that the driver had family problems but would be sending a family member to cover. This story changed a bit during our journey. On the day a friendly young driver turned up (either nephew or cousin). He spoke good english and the car was in excellent condition. We began by asking had our request been passed on. Could we check that the direction and timing was sensible. We asked this before we left the hotel but the driver seemed non-plussed and dismissive of our request to look at the map together before we set out. We had chosen four main sights listed and a textile gallery all following a anti-clockwise route ending back at our hotel. Immediately we got push back. Why did we want to go to the gallery. It wasn't a main tourist site. He thought the first temple on the list a waste of time so we took his advice and headed straight for the next temple before it became too crowded. All the sites were geared for tourists and instagram. All had touts as well as entrance fees. We got push back on the place we suggested for lunch and went with the driver suggestion where he obviously had an arrangement. The food was good. Apparently the lunch he was given was not what he wanted so the driver requested that we make a longer stop so he could have more lunch at the next sight. We agreed to stay half an hour at yet another over priced, instagram tourist place. At the start of our journey we said that the most important stop for us was the textile museum. We got pushback and questioned as to why. Not great.

Thanks to our driver for this amazing day! The driver was kind, pleasant, friendly, punctual, the car was clean, the driver speaks good English, and we hope he will soon speak Russian. We recommend this company for exploring the fabulous island of Bali.

We had an amazing experience with Martin, who was our driver in Ubud for three days. He took us to the north of Bali, where we visited one of the most stunning waterfalls on the island—Nung Nung Waterfall. During our trip to the east, he showed us beautiful temples and equally spectacular waterfalls, making every stop memorable. Martin was always attentive, incredibly punctual, and shared interesting insights about the places we visited. He is also an excellent driver, making us feel safe and comfortable at all times, and he speaks very good English, which made communication easy throughout the trip. On our last day, he drove us to Uluwatu Temple and then to our next hotel, making everything smooth and stress-free. Dedek is amazing, he showed us the less touristy places, we visited two waterfalls and had the best swim ever. Dedek explained local customs and we saw so many things!!!

We had the best day with Adi driving us around. He is a very pleasant and kind young man. We are seniors and he was very good with us not being able to do steps. We had a lovely leisurely day at uncrowded places. If you get chance to go to the bird park it’s wonderful and Adi knows the way. He drove safely and smoothly spoke good English. We booked this tour as I did not want to rent a car nor jump unto balis traffic while exploring bali with my family. Our driver Widi contacted me shortly after the booking and we discussed the optimal route and points of interest. At all stops, he gave us facts about the temples and the balinese culture. Perfect tour guide and very family friendly. Definitely would book him again

The guide Widi was perfect. Good timing and planning of our desired destinations. We got a lot of historical and cultural information which we appreciated and were looking for. Coffee and tee tasting just felt rather like a scam (f.ex no herbal tee but overpriced powder in the shop) but thats not the drivers fault ... After this experience we skipped chocolate tasting in order to prevent similar experience. Widi then proposed another temple instead which was great decision

Our driver was very helpful, attentive, and kind. We were able to customize the trip to see what we wanted, and the vehicle was spacious and comfortable. The traffic was insane and we spent a ton of time in the car, and it was more of a private driver experience than a guided tour experience, but it was well worth the price!

Martin was magnificent from start to finish. From recommending places based on what types of sites we wanted to see to adapting plans due to some of the heaviest rain i’ve ever seen, nothing was a problem for him. Ultimately, my wife and I got to go the places we wanted but with a couple of off-the-cuff recommended extras placed in to enhance our overall experience. Widi was an amazing guide during our stay in Ubud. He accommodated and delivered on every request during our half day tour to our selected sights. He not only provided commentary on the historical, religious, and cultural significance of the temples and attractions but also inserted personal touches and local lore to add additional richness into our whirlwind tour.  Logistically, the car was clean, AC works, and he looked out for us by warning us about hawker tactics and promptly gave recommendations regarding our itinerary. He even thoughtfully took us to a supermarket to satisfy our mangosteen  craving! He was so great that we requested him for our airport transfer just so we can speak to him further. Of course, he infused our 1.5hr ride with great tour commentary as well!

We booked a 10-hour customized tour to Ubud. Widi was our driver and tour guide. He was absolutely amazing! He showed up early to our villa even when we were running a bit late and overall went above and beyond our expectations. Widi took us to Alas Harum Bali, the Abian Desa Rice Terraces, the Ulu Petanu Waterfall, Kumulilir Coffee Tour, and the Ubud Art Market. He was very courteous, knowledge, thoughtful and respectful. He took plenty of photos and videos of us so we can remember our honeymoon. Even as the day ran long past the 10 hours, he never once complained and brought us back to our villa safely. If we could give more than 5 stars we would! We highly recommend booking this tour!

Had an amazing trip of ulun danu temple,waterfalls and tanah lot temple. Our driver guide Adi was so calm and patient throughout the trip and helped us with any questions and doubts we had during the trip .places were beautiful and so relaxing especially the sunset tanah lot temple .would love to book with Adi on my next trip ,had lot of things to share and talk about .

I had Widi as my Driver and Tour Guide for the full day Ubud tour. Widi was not only thorough in his explanation of the sites but he very attentive,given that the eczema on my hands were flaring up on my hands. He made sure I kept away from direct sunlight as the heat worsened my skin, he brought his own colorful umbrellas ( good for photo taking opportunities with it) and that I was fully hydrated, wasn't ripped off by local hustlers as well as taking the best photos and videos, capturing good angles & moments for me as a solo traveller. This was priceless! Widi found me food places I wanted to eat--- was craving for Ayam Goreng & Bakso in a clean restaurant and it did not disappoint! He was respectful and always accomodating to my fussy needs for someone who can be too particular/ pedantic at times for my own good! But I cannot fault him. Ask for Widi next time & I highly recommend him.

Such a fun, educational and wholesome experience for my friends and I! We had Widi as our guide and he was extremely informative and accommodating! We had 4 stops including the monkey forest, Tegallalang rice terrace, tirtul temple and the ubud art market. Widi made us feel extremely comfortable the whole day from the get go and was so knowledgeable of the history of Bali, and the spiritual and religious connection the Balinese community have. Not only that Widi took amazing photos for us! This ubud tour was more enjoyable than we had expected and would 1000% recommend to anyone and everyone visiting ubud to have the full experience of the culture! And it’ll be even better if you get Widi as your guide he’s amazing and to top it off he was really funny!
