This was a great day out. Enjoyed a hotel pick-up and taken to Greenkubu Restaurant and Swing for breakfast of pancakes, eggs and fruit. Then onto a starting location for an easy bike ride through the Tegalalang Rice Terrace and back for a buffet lunch.

If you are looking for an authentic educational experience about Balinese everyday living and enjoy nature this is the activity for you. Calm easy half day bike ride with my family was really enjoyable with the highlight for me was learning so much of the day to day traditions. You should know how to bike very well the road on the rice terraces are very narrow and with some pot holes and u ride on the streets with the cars. Our tour guide(Ben) Pendí was wonderful and patient, made us feel safe, waiting for us and making sure we were all following through and safe to cross the street. He is very knowledgeable and kind. Breakfast and lunch are very light. Bikes are in good condition and comfortable.
Amazing, friendly and informative guide. Lovely day out even if it rains. Was great fun. Ebikes were of a good standard.
This was brilliant. We loved every minute of it weaving through rice fields, quiet forest roads and small villages. Good quality bikes and awesome guides.
10 ot of 10 every aspect. Ben the guide was amazing with excellent English. Food was restaurant quality. Bikes were great they even give water and Helmut. Could not recommend enough.
It was an amazing trip with Yoga and his friends. They showed us many wonderful places. We have seen a lot of nature. The highlight was the bicycle ride near the rice fields. For lunch we went to a restaurant with a really nice view. Thank you guys for this amazing experience.
Absolutely fantastic. We were picked up at our hotel as arranged and taken to Greenkubu where we had a lovely breakfast before setting off on our e bikes. Our guide was super friendly and told us a lot about Bali culture and customs along our tour. We stopped off at a temple, rice fields, Balinese home and also sampled coconut drink. Arrived back where we were given lunch which was so delicious (catered well for my nut allergy.). Would highly recommend green bike adventures. Thank you for a wonderful morning.
A wonderful experience, Yogi our instructor gave insightful knowledge into the daily lives of Balinese. I was extremely impressed by the level of safety provided as we hadn’t ridden a bike in 10 years - we had Yogi at the front, another instructor at the back who kept a watchful eye of traffic and then a car who followed us in case we felt tired and no longer wanted to continue. Very impressive business that is run professionally- highly recommend
We really enjoyed the whole experience. We were the only two on the tour that day which was great ! Our guides, Yoga and Amin were very informative and helpful. They made sure we were very safe and knew exactly what the itinerary was. The lunch was amazing and we had a great choice. We are really glad we chose Green Bikes, rather than another option, as it was obvious they offer a service which is second to none !
Such a great activity, really recommend it, it is a great way to see Ubud and our guide Yoga taught us so much along the way and it felt very personable. The food at the end is also incredible - the best tempeh we have tried yet.
Fabulous tour guides.Must have a reasonable level of fitness and be a bit fearless!! 3 stacks but I would do it again. Great views , lots of perfect photos. Watch out for stray dogs running in front of bikes. I put the bike into normal mode a lot to get the extra exercise.
My guide Yoga was very friendly and explained the local culture in detail. We rode through the rice fields and saw interesting temples and Balinese homes. Would recommend as an activity for sure.
Aiwan, our guide was just fabulous. He gave us a huge amiunt of very interesting information. He made the most of the 3 hours of wondefull cycling. He also assured high security while riding showing potholes, blocking circulation at cross roads. I would highly recommend.
My family of 4 did the Greenbike Adventure electric bike tour on 16 September. We started our morning with a pick-up from our accommodation and were transferred to Greenkubu Cafe where we had a range of breakfast choices that were far superior to the usual breakfast we've had on tours before. Greenkubu was also where the tour ended and we had a fabulous lunch. Our tour went through working rice fields, along quiet roads surrounded by lush forest and through small villages. We stopped at a Balinese house compound, a village temple and Tegalanglang rice fields. Our guides, Ben, G'day and Ketut were all amazing. Being on electric bikes made the journey so much easier than using pedal power alone but you will still need to pedal. At the end of our tour, Dharma, the creator of the company sat with us and explained how the company came to be, from very small beginnings in 2013. It is a story that is both fascinating and incredibly inspirational. The success and expansion of this business has come about by outstanding customer service being the number one priority. Greenbike Adventure also do downhill rides from Mt Kintamani and in 2017 we did the downhill ride with another company. While the prices are similar with other companies, the experience with Greenbike Adventure is in a league of its own. When looking for a tour, be aware that there are other companies with similar names. I could not fault this tour in any way! This tour or the downhill ride with Greenbike Adventure, is a MUST do for any visitor to Bali. Informative, beautiful and unique!
Fantastic experience for my family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Great way to see Ubud, scenery is so picturesque. Bikes were easy to operate. Our guide Nyoman was very knowledgeable and informative. Delicious lunch at gorgeous restaurant setting was a lovely way to finish off the tour. Thoroughly recommend this experience.
My partner and I booked this trip last minute, they were happy to have us on the tour and also guaranteed pick up/drop off from our accomodation. Our tour guide was amazing! Very informative of Balinese culture and history. He was passionate happy to answer and questions we had in great detail, as well as offering to take us to a compound to show us everyday Balinese life. We happened to be the only two on our particular booking time so we felt we got to experience a more informative and personal tour. I absolutely loved this tour and would reccomend it to everyone. The staff were so kind and helpful and the food at the end of the tour was delicious.
My mom who is now 66 years old wanted to try the electric bike and cycle pass the rice fields during our bali trip, so I booked this for us. Little did I know that it was a mountain bike, a new thing to her! It was dangerous as we had to ride on the busy roads, yet she still wanted to take up the challenge. I was feeling really stressed and worried the whole time that I didn't get to enjoy much of the beautiful scenery. >.< Luckily, our guides Gede and Made were really patient and kind. They did their best to accommodate to the couple who were also cycling that day with us, and my mom and I. We also had a very sweet driver who drove behind us the whole time in case my mom wanted to give up. I would definitely recommend going on a tour with green bike cycling tour! They have a team with the richest hearts! Thank you thank you and thank you!
Having been to Bali a number of times this was the first time at Ubud. We decided to take the electric bike ride offered by the GreenBike Cycling Tour, not the cheapest we were told by a number of locals at they were the best. This was by far the best adventure we have had in Bali. First stop was at a local house were we learnt so much about the Balinese lifestyle and culture. Then it was a beautiful ride through the working rice fields, pretty of time for photographs and taking in the scenery. The third stop was outside a temple this one we weren't allow to venture into but were given a detail lesson on some of there religious beliefs. The ride finished with a really nice Balinese banquet. We couldn't say enough about our guides. The leader name was Made who was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. The tail was made by Eka who was the best. My partner Tash wasn't so comfortable with the electric bike but he followed her most of the way offering her advice and stopping traffic at cross roads. This is a must do if you are in Bali. Highly recommend
Excellent cycling experience with some lovely views. Made (pronounced made I think) our tour guide provided a lovely relaxed experience. He showed us a Bali home and explained the Balinese culture of living arrangements and use of family temples which was fascinating. I wont hold it against him that hes a Man Utd football supporter. A genuinely nice man and excellent tour guide. The coffee plantation was a fun break in the middle with a beautiful walk below it around some rice fields and a river. There was some main road cycling. The two tour guides front and back made it quite safe on the main roads and in general on the tour. The electric bikes made the cycle very relaxed. Can go at your own pace and choose your own activity levels. Would have been quite strenuous without them. All and all a lovely day out on the bikes.
We had a great Tour with two absolutely experienced guides leading Guide was Dewa). Booking and conversation was easy to do via WhatsApp, pickup was on time, e-bikes were easy to use, tour was interesting and we had a stunning ride through the rice fields. The Tour ended with a very delicious Lunch. We would absolutely recommend this trip for everyone who wants to discover the Ubud area and to learn something about the culture. Kristina and Oliver
Chanced upon Greenbike Tours online when I was searching for some cycling activities to do in Ubud. I chose the afternoon E-bike tour because I wanted to try something new and the entire tour was only about 4 hours long which fit perfectly into my schedule. The pickup was on time and we met our lovely guide Gita right away. As I was already staying in Ubud, it took us about 25 minutes to get to the starting point of our bike tour. The E-bikes were new, sturdy and helmets were provided too. The tour started off with us visiting a local Balinese house which was so interesting because I've been to Bali numerous times but have never been inside a local's home. I saw their kitchen, resting area, pigs and temple. We even learned to make the offerings which you see all around Bali especially on the floors or along the roadsides. We continued the E-bike tour and cycled towards the rice fields. There were tons of uphill/downhill slopes, sharp turns and bumpy roads along the way and I actually almost fell twice! (I blame my clumsy self but seriously though, this tour is definitely more for those whom enjoy some adventure and physical activity, like me!). Gita was so patient and cheerful throughout the entire tour and would check up on us throughout the way. I loved E-biking through the rice fields as it was so scenic and serene. There were ducks/dogs/locals on their scooters/children walking around which truly showed the surroundings of the rice fields. Gita even helped us to take some cool videos and pictures of us around the rice fields and I was so happy because I could somewhat relive some Eat Pray Love movie scenes for fun lol! After the E-bike tour ended, we cycled towards Green Kubu where we settled for buffet lunch. It was a nice restaurant overlooking the rice terraces and the buffet table had several local dishes (sambal tempeh was the best!). It's good that you have your sport shoes and active wear on! Snacks/water is provided but I still brought my own bottle nonetheless. Overall, the E-bike tour was fun, interesting and one of a kind! Very thankful for our guide who shared so much with us. Highly recommend! Ask for Gita if possible (he speaks good English)!
We made the 90+ minute journey by mini bus to Ubud where met our guides for the day. The 6 of us were on the electric bikes (ebikes) which made the whole experience a lot of fun and ALOT easier! We saw temples, local villages, a local home, beautiful scenery, working rice fields amongst a myriad of other great places. Definitely a highlight of our Bali trip.
It was a mazing time had the opportunity the ATV activity and enjoy the lunch in Green Kubu with amazing view and great hospitality service given by the team of green kubu . Really recommend to come and try the test of the menu provided with very reasonable price . Will definitely comeback soonest.
It was a wonderful experience. We were fortunate that we had our guide Darma all to ourselves. He explained and showed us a lot. The tour was very interesting, and the breakfast and lunch were very tasty.
A superb visit passing through the rice fields with a super AMIN guide who is both kind and very interesting. Stops to see tradition points including the famous mongoose cafe, a family house/temple. To do without limits because the bikes are very practical (electric) We recommend!
It was just fantastic. Our tour started with a small but fine breakfast surrounded by rice breeds. Strengthened by breakfast, we set off. We learned a lot about Balinese culture, architecture, religion and landscape. We stopped at a Balinese house, rice vineyards, coffee plantations and a temple. Afterwards there was a fine lunch buffet to complete the tour. Our Gudie was very accommodating and spoke good English.
Really good trip around Ubud and surroundings. We came far around and it was super nice. Very good guide!
We had a great time with our Dewa who took the time to explain Balinese culture and tradition. An experience we are not about to forget. We have the chance to see beautiful landscapes that I think would not have been the case if we had not done this activity!
This was our coolest tour is unique in Ubud!!! The feeling, the energy of going through the typical UBud locations and seeing everything from close because we were cycling. Places you can't get by car or motorcycle!! Our guide Nyoman was great, explained everything!! It was 3 hours walk but I would definitely do the whole day. Because in addition to beautiful places we passed, the atmosphere and sensation of passing in the middle of rice plantations were unique. As the bike and electric then greatly facilitates the ride, by the way not tired. Like I said, I would do it all day!! Thanks for the staff and the guide, it really was the best tour we did in Ubud! Me and my husband!! Perfect!!!
