Bikes were a tad aged. However my guides were lovely, very informative. Constantly watching over me, as we made the up road journey towards the rice paddys. Felt safe throughout the entire journey. Very patient gentleman and time was never an issue.

Great experience, the only down side was having to travel to ubud from Seminyak. The traffic is full on. But great tour if you are staying in ubud . And a suggestion would be to provide bike helmets. The tour is along side traffic for a lot of it.
I really loved this. I would highly recommend. It was a really good amount of time showcasing the beautiful Balinese culture.
The experience on the e bikes and the tour guide was excellent. Wayan had great knowledge and shared this kindly. The places we stopped were really interesting and we learnt lots about local culture and spirituality. It is a 4 due to the worn tread in the tyres - they were very worn down and on gritty roads we worried for slipping.
We had a great time on the ride travelling through villages, seeing scenic sights and visiting a private home. The guide was very informative. We did have to travel with our possessions we brought so don’t bring too much with you. There is not a bathroom facility where you start so be prepared. There are stops later though where you can go. The pick up drop was good but Ubud traffic had us arriving late. The bikes work well electrically but they do need an upgrade to stay in line with their competitors. A helmet would probably make you feel a little more secure as well especially leaving Ubud navigating the traffic at times. Bring a hat and sunscreen even when cloudy you don’t when the sun will come out. Overall I did enjoy the ride.
My 20 year old daughter and I took this tour and it was her favorite thing we did in Ubud. Our guide, Wayan, made sure we were safe, had a good time and took plenty of great photos of us! We stopped at a coffee tasting place (I could have skipped it, but it was a nice break from the biking for me). Book the tour!
great tour through ubud please make sure you have some riding experience as when you are with another group it can be frustrating
Such a fun time. Wayan tailored our time together so we were able to enjoy the Bali Swings, see Tagallalang Rice Terraces and Taste Coffee at a local plantation. He never rushed us and didn't mind that our 3 hour ride actually took 5 hours since we made stops along the way. He also did an excellent job keeping us safe as we wound in and around traffic. Highly recommend.
Took an e-bike trip from Ubud town centre to Tegalalang Rice Terrace. Our guide Komang was the best. Always checking we were ok and full on knowledge at the various stops we made (you make about 4 stops). The bikes are comfortable and easy to operate. You have to peddle but it doesn’t feel like work with the electric motor. Just be aware you are riding on roads for most of the journey but it’s not as bad as you might think. I’d highly recommend this tour. We are a couple in our early 50s
Excellent experience and two really helpful guides. Great sense of local culture included. And with good bikes with plenty of e-jizz, the hills were easily conquered and the rice fields whizzed by. Though some of tour was on public roads, I always felt safe.
This was a fun and educational experience. Both of our guides were knowledgeable and safety conscious. I would highly recommend
Wayan was an amazing guide! We loved having e bikes as it is hilly getting up to the rice fields. We enjoyed learning about traditional Balinese compounds, rice fields, temples and the culture. Wayan was a fantastic guide, spoke very good English and ensured we had a good time. This is great way to see the outer edges of Ubud, you feel like you’re totally out of the city however it’s only a cycle away.
So much fun. The guides are so wonderful and informative. It was absolutely pouring down but it was still so enjoyable and safe.
The half day fat boy e-bike trip to he eve fields was beyond expectations and fantastic value for money. Our guide Wayan was super knowledgeable and we had a second guide following us on a scooter to ensure our security. Bi try really kind. Rice fields, home visit, temples, and visit to coffee / tea plantation. So much packed in. Can’t recommend enough.
We had very enjoyable bike ride through Ubud’s villages and rice terraces. We would highly recommend this tour when you in Ubud.
Fantastic tour!! Guides were very professional and friendly, and the tour was very immersive. We were able to see a temple, a traditional Balinese house, a coffee plantation (with tasting!), rice fields, and rice terraces.
We thoroughly enjoyed the bike tour around the Ubud rice terraces and village. The guide was very friendly and informative, there were periods where we rode on roads but this was supervised by two experienced guides, so felt very safe. We would highly recommend this experience if you are staying in Ubud!
Incredible experience, one hundred percent recommended for people who love nature and learning about other cultures (as the tour includes a visit to a balines house, explanation and view of rice fields, activities such as swings, etc). To sum up, this experience is a must if you come to Bali or if you are planning on doing it.
Great ride beautiful to see the villages and rice fields .. not a fan of the Coffee plantation buys thats not a reason to not rate this tour a 5. Tour guide wayan and his friend were great and informative Highly recommend the e-bike
Beautiful and very interesting! Our guides told us a lot about daily life in Bali. The cycling is fun, not too hard thanks to the electric aid. The landscapes were amazing. I would really recommend this tour!
Not a bad tour but have done better it was very dangerous on the roads would of liked to see more of the country side not main roads , must say the guides were very good though!
Guide was excellent made sure we were safe at all times and was very knowledgeable awesome trip will do again next time in Bali.
The 1/2 day bike tour was a fabulous way to experience the beauty and culture of Ubud. Our guide Wayan shared so much about the culture and lifestyle of the Balinese people. His tour of a family compound and village gave us a peek into daily life here in Bali. I was initially nervous about riding a bike in an unfamiliar place but Wayan made me feel safe by directing traffic and guiding our group. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting
Loved the EBike experience. I believe this is the best way to see the rice fields and local villages and markets. We really had fun and our guide was very helpful and informative and most concerned with our safety as priority. He also provided water and snacks. Thank You very much. We would recommend this tour for everybody.
Spectacular tour and the highlight of my Bali trip. The guides were very informative and patient as we took our time asking questions. We felt very safe and looked after with guides both at the front and back of the group as well as a support vehicle helping us navigate through areas of greater traffic . I have done other bike tours in my previous visits but this was by far the best. The e-bikes allowed people of all skill levels to enjoy the landscape heading North of Ubud and take in the stunning scenery. Thank you!
Riding a push bike through the streets and traffic in Ubud was amazing. Our guide Wahan looked after us and kept aus safe.
We learned so much on this bike tour. The bikes were very easy to use. Any time our legs started burning, we could just give it a little push and ZOOM! It rained during the ride and didn’t phase us at all. So beautiful! And such a great guide!
Was an amazing experience, really enjoyed it. Also the personal touch. Would definitely book the tour when you’re in Ubud.
This bike tour was the highlight of my Bali trip! The bikes were easy and fun to use. Our guide was great at making sure we were safe on the road, and provided great information about Bali culture. The rice fields are beautiful!! I definitely recommend this tour.
I can’t recommend this enough! Such a fun way to see Ubud, in case you want to be active, but not so much lol. You see beautiful scenery on the outskirts of Ubud, and learn a lot. Our guide Ketut was beyond amazing, he was so helpful, attentive, informative, and fun! A must do while in Ubud, and make sure to ask for Ketut :)
The e-bike tour was informative, not too physically taxing and with Ketut’s guidance we had a great morning. I can really recommend this. He was very good at assessing our skills level and making sure to adjust the route to match it. Ketut was knowledgeable not only about rice paddies and places along the route, but about BALI culture in general.
Wow what an incredible way to see Ubud. We loved our tour - especially as they had an e-bike for our 8 year old and a seat for our little one. We loved doing this activity as a family and were really well looked after.
Wanted to get out into the countryside and this is a great way to do it, saw the backtracks and behind the scenes, plus they really looked after me and Wayan from Bali ebikes was a great guide, made everything so enjoyable.
We are in our late 60s and quite active couple, so having a bike tour of Ubud sounded like a good idea. We were not disappointed. As it turned out, we were the only takers of the tour on that particular day. Our guide, Wayan, was terrific. From explaining how to operate an e-bike to providing insights into cultural aspects of the Balinese society, and constantly checking for safety and whether we are ok while cycling. The tour was a great fun and it was good to see areas off Ubud’s main drag. We are push bikers, so experiencing an e-bike was a novelty and added fun. We would recommend taking this tour.
Awesome tour with our guide Ketut Sukaram. Amazing scenery in tricky raining conditions, but made it even more special. A must do in Ubud can’t recommend enough!!!
Had a great day cycling round Ubud with our guide Komang! He was so helpful and knowledgeable! He made sure we took pictures everywhere and we were comfortable on our bikes! I would definitely recommend that you are a confident on a bike due to there being narrow uneven roads on the route! Would also 100% recommend the tour! Pick and drop off from our villa was ideal as well!
Had a great experience with Komang as our tour guide, he was brilliant and very knowledgeable. Me and my friend felt safe the whole time whilst seeing the sights of Ubud and cycling through the rice fields! Would definitely recommend!
We arranged this from our hotel and everything was very well organised from the collection to the tour itself. Wayan our guide was brilliant and took the time to ensure everyone was safe and to explain everything as we went… I don’t think it mentions it on the blurb but you do have the opportunity to have photos on a swing at the coffee plantation which was great fun. The rice field are a view not to be missed and this is a great way to see them. We would definitely do it again and recommend to anyone. There are 3 things to mention although this does not detract from the tour being 5* all the way… lunch was not included although we knew this before we went. We were told we could pay by card by our hotel but it was cash when we finished. And the bikes could benefit from some maintenance and care as my seat slipped a couple of times and the gears also slipped… the electric worked perfectly though… go do it!
Wonderful tour! Our hotel was a bit out of Ubud centre but a pickup wasn’t a problem at all. A very friendly man called Wayan was our tour guide for the day. As he is originally from Bali he knows everything about the culture and Balinese rituals, very interesting! We biked to the most wonderful places in Ubud, and there is more than enough time to take pictures and enjoy the views. His English was also very well. I would definitely recommend this trip with Wayan!
We’ve had a great day on the E-bike and that was mostly because of our guide: Ketut! We were lucky, because we were with the two of us. It was our first time on the road in Bali, but we felt save behind Ketut. We saw some great places like the rice terraces and coffee plantage. He choose the less busy spots, what was great. We had time to stop and look around. He knew a lot information about the places we visited. We highly recommend this E-bike tour and give all the credits to Ketut. Thanks again!
We booked a 3 hour tour and it appeared to be a private tour. Which was nice, we were with 3 kids (9, 14 and 15 years). Wayan is very friendly, he works with another guide. Our youngest was sometime scary to go downhill and Wayan was very supportive. Wayan informs you about everything (tempels, rice fields, coffee plantation). The biking paths are also on the road where the chaotic traffic of Ubud drives, be aware of this).
Pros: - The guide was kind and helpful. -The countryside around Ubud is beautiful. Cons: - The bikes were all in dangerously bad shape. All 3 bikes (the guide’s mine and my husband’s and mine) had REALLY bad brakes: you could slow down some but almost impossible to actually stop, especially if you were going downhill - and the area around Ubud is all very hilly. - The gears were not working at all on my husband’s bike - it was stuck in one gear the whole time. The guide just apologized and was unable to fix it. - In 2 of the 3 bikes, the whole “electric” feature wasn’t working. The only way to get up the hills was to just pedal with all your might. The guide let me use the one bike that actually had any power, and he and my husband had the 2 with no power. - The tour owner, a young guy, doesn’t maintain or repair the bikes, and riders don’t realize the full extent of all the bike’s problems until they are far from the bike shop and it’s too late to cancel and get a refund. - The guide took lots of photos of us on his phone, telling us he would WhatsApp them to us at the end of the excursion, but never did. - This excursion clearly says that the tour operator provides a nice meal at a restaurant at the end of the ride. Before the ride, we asked which restaurant we would be going to. They responded that they haven’t been offering the meal since the pandemic started - but the tour operator/owner and his guide aren’t concerned enough about the pandemic to wear masks, nor are the throngs of tourists milling around Ubud. OK…..so why does the TripAdvisor description still say they provide a meal at the end? To lure trusting tourists in for a “bait and switch”, obviously, because the owner has had 2 1/2 years to update the tour’s description on TripAdvisor but has chosen not to. This tour was at the end of a 2 week trip to Bali, and we had been on many other excellent tours (ATV rides, snorkeling, and several other excursions) that nearly all cost LESS than this excursion AND provided meals plus a great quality experience. So the tour owner offered the meal in his description in order to justify his higher prices (relative to prices of other available excursions). Bottom line: DO NOT go on this excursion!
E Bikes were amazing from my 1st email they were quick to respond - the whole experience with them was amazing they set you up on the bikes at their premises ensuring you were ok to ride and safety checks they placed us all into small groups with a rider at the front and at the back of the group unfortunately on the day I was not able to ride so I got into the buggy that followed behind the group there were approximately 6 stops on the journey and the guide Agus explained what everything was about. They provided you with helmet water towel and lunch of your choice everything was very well organised I would highly recommend this company for a lovely morning day out
If you want to see more of Ubud or are new to Ubud, this tour is a great place to start. It’s easy to book, great communication. Once you collect the bike you are ready to ride- the electric motor makes it a joy while and is much easier than a normal bike. It also allows you to take in the sites. We had Wayan as our guide. He was fabulous giving all the insights if Ubud and Balinese traditions as well as many photos through rice fields, streets and the best viewing of the jungle. Would totally recommend to do this. So add it to the list!!!!
We were there March 16th 2020 because another tour operator cancelled on us due to covid We called in the morning and reserve for that same day, upon our arrival (wife & I with our 2 sons 11 & 13) they greeted us and they had everything ready for us, they were directing traffic for us at some busy crossings, they had bottled water for us, spare batteries, they waited for us mid way through the adventure while we were enjoying a Bali swing park, they took us to restaurant at the end, food was awesome, they took a bunch of pictures throughout the day and sent them all to us via WhatsApp It was absolutely fantastic to cover so much ground in 4h thanks to the electric assist that the bikes offered I’d recommend these guys to everybody
Great afternoon with two brilliant, knowledgable guides. The trip on e bikes makes it accessible to all ages, you can cycle or use the powered bike facility to power you up the hills. The day was enlightening about not just the rice fields but the culture of the people of Bali rituals. A must to do if in Bali and its a cheap afternoon including dinner or lunch dependent on what part of the day you go.
February 2020, just the 2 of us did a half day tour with Wayan. After instruction on how to ride the bike using the motor we headed off. I was a bit worried about dealing with traffic and the bike but Wayan was great he ensured that the traffic was aware of us and never did I have to worry about the traffic. Wayan took us as the tour itinerary stated to temples, living compound, rice terraces & paddies. Whilst his english wasn't the best we understood him and learnt a lot about the Bali culture and lifestyle. Highly recommend this tour with Wayan. Lunch back at the start at a little restaurant was lovely. Thanks for a great time Wayan.
Our guide, Wayan, took us to some interesting places including a school, temple, Balinese house, rice fields and the Rice Terrace. We skipped the coffee plantation as we had already seen that on another tour. The Ebikes made the short but steep hills easy. Most of the ride was on paths or quiet roads but when we had to use or cross busy roads Wayan made sure it was easy and safe. At the end we had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
Wayan, our guide was thoughtful and took great care that we were safe when we were travelling on the roads. We thoroughly enjoyed using the e bikes to explore the quieter backwaters of Bali. Wayan was knowledgeable and gave us an insight into the places we visited. Highlights for me were cycling down paths through rice paddies and visiting an elementary school.
I arrived in Ubud and I wanted to have great bike experience. Thanks to this trip I could see almost everything in Ubud in a relaxed way. All credits go to my great guide Komang! He is a local and he explained so much about the culture. He took a lot of great pictures during the tour and at the end we had a delicious local lunch! If you want to see Ubud in 3 hours time (and not only the tourist places), you should book this trip! Highlights are definitely the rice fields and the coffee farm!
