Blue Lagoon Snorkeling - Bali Best Snorkeling Site

We had a fantastic snorkelling experience. Our lovely driver Wayan was so friendly and easy to talk to and pointed out lots of things along the way on our drives. Our snorkelling instructor Koko was also fabulous and he took some great underwater footage for us. And found 2 turtles for us! This wasn’t the cheapest trip available but we thought it was well worth the cost for a private trip for 2 which was wonderful and memorable from pick up to drop off at our hotel.

This was a great trip. We were able to leave a little later in the morning so we'd be able to catch breakfast at our hotel. The driver was great and kept us up to date as he got closer to the hotel via Whatsapp. We had a quick orientation on the shore then a nice boat ride out to the first snorkeling location. Koko was our guide and he was great. We got in about 2 hours snorkeling which was plenty. After we got back to shore the included lunch at a local restaurant was great. Vegetarian options are available upon request. Highly recommend this trip!

We had Kadek Agus drive us from Nusa Dua up the coast to the drop off area. We felt safe with his driving and Kadek was happy to answer any questions we had along the way as there was plenty to see. when we arrived at the drop-off area we were greeted and fitted with our snorkel and flippers. From there we journeyed on a boat for about 15 minutes to our first dive spot. The coral reef was beautiful and there was plenty of fish varieties plus other sea creatures. We spent an hour at that spot and then we moved a little further down to another spot where we spent another hour. We had a guide in the water with us the whole time. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we were okay for the full two hours in the water. After our snorkelling we went back to the beach where there was a set lunch. The food nice. We were lead to believe there was a changing room and shower. But unfortunately there was no changing area or shower. It was the toilet of the place we’re eating lunch. The area was only big enough for one person. While my wife and I were there trying to get changed, a family of four rocked up to do the same thing. As you could imagine they were as shocked as we were to find out that this was the changing area. If you’re not too worried about the whole changing area thing, then you're in for a great day of beautiful coral reef and some pretty impressive fish.

Let’s start with the good - great and easy pick up and drop off from hotel. The guides for the boat and snorkelling were fantastic. We saw so many tropical fish and even a sting ray. The experience was fantastic The bad - the changing facilities and bathroom at the restaurant were horrific. Dirty, unsanitary, completely unacceptable. The food served at the lunch was also terrible, beyond basic, zero flavour and wasn’t fresh. A shame as all the either food we had in Bali was outstanding. Overall I would say book this, but change in the car, pee in the sea and don’t eat the lunch

If we could give Gusti 10 stars, we would!! He was waiting at our resort ready before our pick up time and was very courteous introducing himself to my husband and I. He explained were we were going for both snorkeling locations and provided more details on the included lunch. Then the great part started!! He was so knowledgeable and friendly answering all the questions we had. He gave us the background of different temples, how house temples worked in relation to village temples, ceremonies, caste systems, everything, you name it! It was so good learning from a local. Then...we started talking about food! He shared recipes with us from his family, what everyone's favourites are, the differences between certain ingredients, eg ginger vs aromatic ginger. We had fun, my husband was taking notes! Then we arrived at the bay where all the snorkel and scuba dive boats are and we met Coco who would be our guide on the water. He was awesome fun and was right there in with us guiding to good locations. He was spotting and saw a sea turtle!! It was incredible swimming above this graceful animal. I was in heaven. Then we saw a second turtle! He told us that one was "lucky"...he was missing his top right fin. The fish were abundant everywhere we looked. After about an hour, we got back into the boat and cruised to The Blue Lagoon. While going, there were these huge blow holes and he stopped so we could get that perfect picture. Blue Lagoon was beautiful, the colour of the water was amazing. All sorts of sea life, we found Nemo and Dory 🙂. Coco also took my phone and took pictures and videos of us with all the fish. It was great being able to have shots of both of us together under the water surrounded by fish. After that, we went to a lovely restaurant across from the beach. I had the Mi Goreng and my husband had the Nasi Goreng. Delicious! Then it was time to head back, and again, Gusti was full of knowledge to share with us, the history of Bali, the gods they worship along with the stories of them and where they came from. We highly highly recommend this excursion and definitely request Gusti, you will get more than just the snorkeling trip, but a great education of Bali too!! Caralyn and Scott

I was a bit nervous about doing this solo, but my driver, Ayu, was so much fun and made me feel comfortable immediately. I highly recommend trying to do the snorkel earlier in the day. I couldn't do morning so opted for afternoon, but the wind and waves picked up so much that we had to cut our time short. We did see lots of fish, beautiful coral, and even a sea turtle. My snorkel guide was careful to make sure I stayed close and didn't drift off. And he made a valiant attempt at snorkeling in the 2nd spot, but waves were getting pretty big and visibility was zero, so we finally gave up. Overall the people made this experience so worth it, even though weather didn't cooperate for me.

Driver was on time and very friendly, and the guides were helpful and made us feel safe during the entire experience. We went snorkeling to 2 different spots around Blue Lagoon - saw lots of fish and even some turtles! The water was a little cloudy due to the rain in the morning and the waves were sometimes kind of strong but highly recommended activity overall! :)

My friends and i had a nice time on this tour! Gusti our driver was very nice and gave lots of good information along the way. He offered to stop for coffee and tea on the way home as well! The snorkelling itself was quite busy lots of other boats and people in the water. Our guide was lovely but didn’t give very good instructions in the water. Back at the beach and cafe for lunch there were some men videoing us in our bikini which was uncomfortable. The driver Gusti was the best about this tour!

omg the best tour, amazing. nyoman picked us up at hotel, took us to boat, then went to two different places where we did snorkelling..captain swam with us and showed us all the different fish rays, eel and amazing turtle...coral and fish so colourful...this was the best day ever..bucket list tick

We really enjoyed our day snorkelling. The driver picking us up from the cruise terminal was early and messaged when he got there. He was friendly and a good driver. The car was nice and it was clean. The snorkelling was great. We had a motorized outrigger for the 2 of us along with a boat driver and snorkel guide. They took us to 2 snorkelling spots. The guide was with us in the water the entire time and brought fish food to enable us to see LOTS of fish. I have arthritis in my knees which made getting up the little ladder into the boat a bit of a challenge but the boat driver and guide were super helpful and patient. The lunch after was tasty and right across the street from where we were dropped off for snorkelling. I would highly recommend this tour.

The whole day was amazing. We got picked up at our hotel by Ketut who was really friendly and knowledgeable. He would point out interesting things on the drive and explain the local history and culture. When we arrived at the boat all the crew were so nice, we got given our snorkeling equipment and set off straight away. Our guide was Coco and he was fantastic, we saw so many types of fish really close up in beautiful clear water it was such a magical experience. We also saw a giant turtle from the boat. When we got back to shore lunch was already prepared and it was delicious. And then Ketut arrived to drive us home. There was no waiting around at any point, the whole trip was arranged perfectly. Thanks to all staff involved, we had the best day ever :)

Our driver Wayan picked us up promptly in the morning and was very informative all the way to the drop off and back. He even stopped for us at a bat cave temple that we wanted to see. The traditional Balinese boats were such a unique experience and our guide was very kind and patient with us. We saw some amazing fish including a manta ray and a moray eel - super cool! Thank you for an awesome day!

Beautiful to swim in the coral reef! Too bad it took some time to reach the boat because of the traffic. Remember to put on sunscreen!

Snorkeling was awesome, the instructor was very good with my inexperienced partner. As a seventeen yr old he was patient and professional. He found a turtle for us to see and stayed within arms reach at all times. Visibility was incredible and to see live coral was amazing. Driver for the day was forever on and off the gas pedal but bali traffic also to blame.

Great snorkelling, we had a private car transfer from Seminyak and a boat just for us although probably more people if it was busier. Nice lunch at the end. Our driver offered to stop at a coffee plantation on the way back which was worth the visit

Friendly, informative and prompt, our driver was a treat. Loved the one-on -one attention from boat owner/driver/ snorkelling guide. Lunch was tasty and the BinTang cold.

Our tour guide Wayan Dontking arrived sharp at our hotel , he was full of enthusiasm , energy and a great big welcoming smile During the long drive Wayan engaged brilliantly with both myself and my 13 year old son in excellent English He shared stories of Bali tradition and places to visit and pointed out various sites as we were passing The snorkelling didn’t disappoint , well organised and my son was fortunate to see Turtles !! Wayan attended to us all day with great kindness and charm and even took us to buy a shirt for my son before a delicious lunch surrounded by amazing scenery . The Temple is a definite must see, though long wait for photo shoot , but plenty of other photo opportunities Wayan was very kind and bought some snake fruit for us to try After here the coffee plantation , and coffee tasting - this is a interesting as it is delicious 😃 Throughout the day I feel I was learning about Bali , Balinese tradition and Wayan felt like a friend , I would highly recommend this tour with him as a guide

Thanks to our boat guy we were even able to see turtles and sharks! It was a wonderful experience! Definitely recommend it!!

My partner and I had a fantastic day with our guide Putu. We were lucky enough to see turtles during our snorkelling tour and the food provided for lunch and dinner was delicious. Highly recommend the experience and we loved all the information Putu had about Bali.

The activity of snorkeling is amazing, the guide was super, 3 snorkeling spot in 2 hours. The private car was on time, the lunch was good and the driver is so funny. Thanks for amazing experience

Had an amazing day, I had my 2 daughters 8&6 by myself, the guide was so helpful with them. The lagoon was beautiful and lunch was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic. Was picked up at our hotel at exactly the allotted time by a wonderful driver Wayan Gania. transported both there and back in comfort and style, once we arrived at the meeting point, we met the owner of Blue lagoon snorkelling tours. He gave us all the information we needed then after ordering our lunches (Which were unbelievably yummy). We were handed over into the most capable hands of our personal snorkelling guide. The snorkelling it’s self was absolutely amazing. Two different locations and at both, The fish were stunning the coral reefs beautiful and even had the opportunity to hand feed some of the most beautiful fish I’ve seen. The amenities in the coral reef were teeming with Nemos and were absolutely beautiful. When in Bali this is a must do. Thank you to blue lagoon snorkelling for making our day fantastic.
