Besakih Temple Tour - Mother Temple In Bali

We had a fantastic day exploring Bali with our driver. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and shared a lot about Balinese culture, traditions, and daily life, which made the experience much more meaningful. He also made excellent recommendations throughout the day that helped us make the most of our time. Everything was well organized, relaxed, and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Really lucked out with Budi as my tour guide. With 30 years of experience hes super knowledgeable and great at taking photos. Meaning we avoided the crowds where possible and had the views and experiences all to myself. Strong recommend on the tour, even if it is further out. The monuments, temple and waterfalls with that amazing view for lunch are worth the long day!

Last minute( last night) booked the Besakih Great Temple (mother temple) tour for today with eco bali. Within minutes of email confirmation, I got Whatsapp message from Ariana to coordinated and confirmed pickup location and time. He arrived 15 minutes earlier than the meeting time the next day and patiently waiting for me to finished my order of coffee and bakery then we off to the tour. He is very approachable and easy to talk to which makes the 3 hrs drive went by quick. He is also very accommodating. He make an Extra stop (out of the itinerary ) to a local plantation after found out I was looking for some local Bali coffee. Before we fight hectic traffic with heavy rain back to hotel. Over all, Ariana makes the tour was very relax, no rushing. It was very enjoyable tour. I highly recommended and will contact him again when I am visiting Bali again.

It was an amazing day tour! I and my husband visited some cultural places and Besakih temple. As it was the first time for us to go to these places, our tour guide - Mr Komang Yudana - explained us deeply about balinese history, geography and cultures. We could enjoy not only seeing places but also learning new aspects of bali!

This tour is enriched with the History and ancestry of Bali as well as breathtakingly beautiful places. Lunch was delicious and overlooked a landscape fit for the movies! The Mother Temple was our favorite in Bali. The waterfall was stunning as well. We toured with Budi whom, is a great diver as well as thoughtful, knowledgeable and kind. I would request him again! Services of Budi was excellent. He was on time. No delay. Very informative. Knows details about the visited places, we visited. During our trip, there was heavy rain. He prepared umbrellas. - It was practical and made us move freely between sites and the car even it was raining.

We were very happy both with our tour and our tour guide/driver Raka. Raka was so helpful and responsive to our every question, he gave us information on local traditions and the places we visited.

Long drive and heavy traffic. The tour of the temple was made easier for me by starting at the top and walking down to the carpark.

Silawayan was extremely helpful and friendly. He was informative and couldn’t do enough for us on the trip.he took countless photos of us! Trip was great, lots of fun experience especially including a surprise jungle swing!

It has been an amazing experience. Wayan Netra has been very kind all the time, taking photos for us at key sites. We finished visiting what we had contracted ahead of time and he offered to take us to other places of interest without charging us anything. Totally recommended

We had an amazing day with eco Bali tours. Our tour guide and driver, Dharma was the best. Very friendly, knowledgeable and very funny. He spoke great English and was absolutely accommodating. We started at the Justice court, then on our way to Besakih temple, Dharma pulled over for a beautiful view And quick photo shoot. Besakih temple was just as beautiful with the clouds clearing up just enough to see Mt. Agung. After spending time at the temple, Dharma took us to a buffet restaurant which was included with a beautiful view of rice terraces and the mountain. Lastly we went to Tukad Cepung to cool off and take beautiful pictures of the waterfall. I definitely recommend and will be requesting Dharma again before we leave!

Wayan Sila is an amazing guide. He is knowledgeable and seeks to provide exactly what we wanted. He takes great photos at each site for our memories. I highly recommend him.

I bought this solo trip facilitated by Eco Bali Tours and I must say it was a great experience! My driver Dimas was súper profesional: he picked me and dropped me off at the door of my hotel in Ubud, AC was on all the time, the car was super clean and the best part was that he was able to communicate in English, so he gave some insights and recommendations to do the best of my time in Bali! The whole trip is breathtaking, specially Besakih (Mother of All Temples), this one was my favorite! When you arrive to Lempuyang you’ll probably have to wait a couple of hours just to take a picture at the famous Gate of Heaven. However, while you wait (trust me, it’s going to be a long time) you can visit the other temples and take amazing pictures at The Heaven’s garden. When you visit Bali make sure to buy this packet and ask Dimas as your designated driver! You won’t be in better hands!

We had such a great day out on this tour and our driver Nyoman was amazing. He is so friendly and knowledgeable and such a kind man, he made our day!! The tour was great and we learnt a lot as well as burnt a few calories climbing the stairs after visiting the waterfall. Would highly recommend this tour

It was a unique experience to be able to witness local’s yearly ceremony during my visit at Besakih. Agus, my tour guide was very informative, flexible and spontaneous made the trip really enjoyable. I would highly recommend.

A great day trip that was made even better by our guide for the day, Darma. Darma was knowledgeable and engaging and really added the local insight to the day. The mother temple was the highlight. Even on a cloudy day the views are spectacular and the temples are amazing. A local guide will show you around (tip required at the end of the tour) which is able to add further levels of information. The other two stops are pretty interesting with the waterfall an insta hot spot for those inclined. It must be noted that you really require the right type of footwear for the waterfall as you are traversing lots of steps and navigating through very rocky River beds once at the bottom. An enjoyable trip with a great guide who really made the day.

The picture of the Besakin temple does not show its majestic beautifulness in real - a capture worth seeing. The watterfall Tukad Cepung was spectacular and the Taman Wisata Kertha Gosa was absolutely amazing. Our driver Darma was so nice and attentive with us and with its curtesy and knowledge about Balinese customs and culture gained our hearts… Thank you Darma 😊

This tour was again really something special… Like every other attraction (tour) that we had till now this was something different… The Besakin temple is out of the ordinary - spectacular ❤️…. Big thanks goes to our driver Darma who was so attentive all day, so nice and polite and told us a lot about the monuments we saw and many more interesting facts about Bali 🤩

Our driver and guide was Putu Darma. Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I wanted to buy some local fruits, he went out of his way to help. We came to Bali during the low season (late November) and this tour is not crowded. Great lunch over looking the rice fields. Bring a change of clothes if you want to get wet at the waterfall. Simply awesome

It was a nice excursion, for myself I didn't like the stairs at the waterfall! Some without handrail and very style!

We spent the day with RAKA, a great Guide I advise you to take the activity with him as he explained well, he has a lot of patience and he schedules the day according to your needs. He is super nice and kind!!!

We have seen many temples in Bali so we also wanted to visit the mother temple. We were there in the preseason. The temples are old. You can't really go into the temples. You go up with a guide and a train on wheels. When it stops you are almost ambushed by sellers. Not nice. Then you walk through the complex with the guide. We thought he did it too quickly. Made some sacrifices at the top where you were almost forced to do so. Not a nice feeling if you want to experience what it was like in the past. I think in high season it is very busy.

The Mother Temple is an absolute must in Bali. It is truly beautiful and a huge complex that is absolutely worth seeing.
