Batur Caldera Sunrise Trekking

We had such a wonderful trip with Nyoman and trek with Adi! I can get motion sick on winding roads and was very grateful for Nyoman being punctual and navigating the roads well - we were even able to take a nap on the way back after the early morning. Adi was fun, happy, gave us a hand when needed, fed us breakfast, and told us about the area. And he is a great photographer! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Best trekking with the best guide to the sunrise 🌅 we started around 3:30 under the volcano, our trip takes with the rest 1,5 hour. On the top, we had a breakfast with tea and coffee. thanks a lot ❤️

We went treking up Mount Batur to watch sunrise, which was an incredible experience! Our guide Wayan was exceptional! Very knowledgeable and such a sweetheart! He took amazing photos of me and my boyfriend without us even asking! (And was a great photographer!) 10/10 recommend this experience!

Wayan was an amazing guide. In the middle of darkness he was encouraging and continuously a fountain of knowledge. The experience was breathtaking! This alone is enough reason for anyone to come to Bali!

I did the hike of Mount Batur with Nano as guide, the hike was superb and Nano was great. He was very friendly and timed perfectly our walk. I recommend it !

Driver and guide were absolutely amazing. The hike was an ample challenge. Really enjoyable morning of sunrise, highly recommend these guys.

Started at 245am pick up at hotel. Driver was on time (in fact earlier) and friendly. The hike guide tell us about history of the surrounding mountains and assisted me and my friend getting up and down the hill. If not I think I would have a few falls while descending. Simple hot drinks and breakfast was provided too when we reached the peak. Great guide and overall a great trip thank you!

Great experience. From hotel collection through the tour itself the friendly, capable and knowledgeable team made me feel secure and in good hands. The experience of being in splendid isolation on top of the caldera as the night became day and the full moon sank below Batur was incredibly humbling. Highly recommend 👍

The communication in advance per WhatsApp works easy. We met in a nice restaurant, where we got coffee, water, flashlight and also a hikking stick...which was very helpful...our guide was Adi... he is the perfect guide you can wish for hikking a vulcano. His english is great and he tooks care of us. The agency takes care, that the group is not bigger than 5 people what is great. We was only 3 people this morning. I really enjoyed that we hiked a way where was almost no other people,so we was hiking both ways almost alone! Also at the top Adi decided for places which wasn't crowded at all... he provide a nice and warm :) breakfast, took pictures and had fun with us. I can really recommend to book the tour here...

Together with my friend we booked Batur Trekking Sunrise trip via Voyagin. At the start point we met another English couple and our guide Gede. He made our experience even more special. He took care of us, adjusted the pace to our possibilities, brought us up and down safely. He also is the best photographer :D took us amazing pictures so we can always remember how great the trip was. The trip is worth any effort! The Batur Caldera sunrise tour was amazing! It was great to be with a smaller group of people. The guides are very knowledgeable and charismatic. Wonderful view at the top and a nice boat trip. Highly recommended! Plus the optional coffee plantation visit was well worth it

We did the sunrise Caldera trek with Bali Sunrise Trekking and Tours and had a great experience. We stayed at Bali Sunrise Villas, which made things easy, and meant we could sleep in til 3.30am, but certainly wouldn't be necessary. Our guide, Pende, did an amazing job of getting our family of four - who range from very fit, to very definitely not fit, all to the top in plenty of time for the sunrise, which was spectacular. He had tea and coffee and breakfast for us at the top, and was a great guide, very friendly and fun. The sunrise Caldera trip is a particularly good option if some or all in your group are not up to a full Mt Batur hike. It was uncrowded (it was just our group at the top), the total hike time was about an hour, the views were amazing, with the ocean on one side and the lake on the other, and the boat trip at the beginning and end were fun.

We initially booked for two activities with Bali Sunrise Tours; the Batur Caldera and Bedegul Tour. The Batur Caldera Trekking is fairly easy, although you need a base level of fitness. The guide Agus was fantastic and went out of his way to be helpful. The view is spectacular - watching the sunrise of the ocean and the moon set behind Mt Batur! The next day we went on the Bedegul Tour the guide was really very knowledgeable and ensured that we had more than enough time at each stop. We were so happy with their service we arranged a private tour with them to see a couple of other temples and places before we left. I would throughly recommend Bali Sunrise Tours.

My wife and I did the caldera trek on our recent trip to Bali. She wasn't keen on the full trek so I was happy to compromise with this one! It was an early pick up still, at 3am, arriving at their base at 4am to a few cups of coffee. But then we had to wait around for an hour before leaving to start the trek at 5am! This was slightly annoying, as it was cold and we were literally sat waiting. They could have picked us up at 4am instead if this was going to be the case. We started climbing at 5am and if was straight away very steep and rocky, big steps and pushing through the undergrowth. I loved it. My wife, not so much! In her defence, it was pitch black, and we were climbing up the side of a mountain, so I understand her position, but we were in safe hands and both the guys, especially JayJay were brilliant. We spent about an hour at the top, watching the sunrise and taking pictures, having a few cups of coffee and enjoying the amazing surroundings and views of Batur, Agung, and even Rinjani on neighbouring Lombok. It was truly a great sight and an amazing view. Just before we were about to descend, the guys said the lake was too choppy to take the boat, so we'd have to descend a different way, after a bit of a wait, apparently it was ok, so we climbed down to the lake and waited for the boat to take is across to the other side. Once the boat had got away from the shore it was fine, pretty smooth in fact, I guess they were just being cautious, which is only a good thing. Once we got across and walked the short distance to their place, my wife felt safer, feet on solid ground again, and the guys in true form, after having been brilliant all morning, went and got us a couple of cold bintangs! Great guys, great trek, would highly recommend.

We did the Batur Caldera trek. The arrangements were well planned by Gede and his team. This trek takes the participants to a viewpoint from where we can see Mt. Batur, Mt. Abang, Mt Agung and even Mt. Rinjhani on Lombok along with views of the Ocean. The views were excellent and the 45 min hike up the Caldera was just right for us (not so fit). Our guide Ketut allowed us to hike at a reasonable pace and was helpful during the slippery parts of the trek while returning downhill. All in all an excellent experience different from the regular touristy pursuits in Bali...

We had Ketut at our guide for the trek to Batur Caldera, it is not the same as hiking to Mt Batur but we are glad we chose this route. The view on the viewpoints are totally amazing and it certainly gives you the top of the world experience. Ketut is a very nice guide and he brought us to a few less visited viewpoints as we were still able to squeeze out some remaining strength from us. The lunch after the trek is one of the best meals we had in Bali as well and they definitely did not try to cut cost on the lunch, which is inclusive of the price of the entire tour.

Beautiful discovery of Mount Batur with Nano who is a good guide with beautiful photography skills. The climb is tiring but worth it. The sky was clear, it was great.

We chose the option of visiting the Caldera rather than the summit of Mount Batur. Great choice! We were all alone with our guide, the boat trip on the lake with headlamps added to the atmosphere. The hike is not difficult (with trekking shoes). The magnificent view emerged before Mount Batur which was hung by the clouds. The guide was very nice. In the top. To finish we spent 2 hours in the hot springs which ended the day in style

A magnificent climb, with a great guide Wayan Nano who is very friendly and attentive. I recommend !!
