Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan located at altitudes of nearly 4000 feet, this is the heart of Bali farming area, with coffee plantations, vegetable fields and traditional rice paddies covering the nearby slopes. Lake Tamblingan is important in the religious life of the local villagers who earn their livelihoods by fishing, farming and ferrying tourists and the devout by dugout canoe to the 31 temples located near the lake. Very little is found about these two important lakes in most tourist literature. Tourism is just gaining a foothold in this very traditional area, with most visitors going to better known Lake Bratan a few miles to the east.
If you come to Handara Golf and Resort, you must prepare your camera to take pictures of your every single moment you spend there, as you will see a lot of Instagram worthy places within the golf club & resort. One of them is the Balour Balinese gate of Handara-the path way to serenity. It has become a famous Instagramable spot in Bali. It is a popular landmark for tourists who seek for one of Bali’s top Instagrammable locations to have some iconic picture for your social media. Make a wonderful picture in front of Handara Gate with the breathtaking view of green scenery and gigantic-exotic traditional Balinese gate as your backdrop. Pamper your eyes with the amazing green surrounding, beautiful scenery, and the amazing background of smoky green hills between the gates that creates a perfect picture for your Bali holiday.
Ulun Danu Lake Beratan Temple is famous picturesque landmark and a significant temple complex located on the western side of the Beratan Lake in Bedugul, central Bali. The whole Bedugul area is actually a favorite cool upland weekend and holiday retreat for locals and island visitors alike from the southern and urban areas, as it is strategically located, connecting the island north and south. Ulun Danu Lake Beratan Temple, literally the source temple of Lake Beratan, is easily the island most iconic sanctuary sharing the scenic qualities with the seaside temples of Uluwatu and Tanah Lot.
Jatiluwih Rice Terrace pretty much cover the region of the namesake upland village in West Bali, most famous for its landscapes that are both dramatic and truly exotic. The site is one of the island must see natural panoramas on par with Mount Batur and the caldera of Kintamani. The cool highlands and the breathtaking scenery of this village at the foot of Mount Batukaru makes for wonderful photo opportunities, and serves as a soothing retreat away from the island crowded south.
Penatahan Hot Springs beckons travelers seeking relaxation and natural beauty. The hot spring complex features a central main pool situated at the lowest level, gracefully adjacent to a flowing river. Complementing this centrepiece, are smaller pools strategically arranged along the riverbank, offering a serene and picturesque setting. Sourced from the thermal waters of Batukaru Mount, the hot springs meander down the hillsides, providing a rejuvenating experience for visitors in the quaint village of Penatahan.
Tanah Lot Temple is one of Bali most important landmarks, famed for its unique offshore setting and sunset backdrops. An ancient Hindu shrine perched on top of an outcrop amidst constantly crashing waves, Tanah Lot Temple is simply among Bali not to be missed icons. The onshore site is dotted with smaller shrines alongside visitors leisure facilities that comprise restaurants, shops and a cultural park presenting regular dance performances.

A fantastic tour with Raj as our great English speaking driver and guide who picked us up promptly. Lake Tamblingan is located at altitudes of nearly 4000 feet. Lake Tamblingan is important in the religious life of villagers who earn their livelihoods by fishing, farming and ferrying tourists and the devout by dugout canoe to the 31 temples located near the lake. Lake Bratan a few miles to the east.1hour Ulun Danu Lake Beratan Temple is famous picturesque landmark and a significant temple complex located on the western side of the Bratan Lake in Bedugul, central Bali. Temples are not like our churches with a preacher by an altar and seating for the congregation. Bali temples are small inside with no seating, only an altar to place your flowers or food for the idols, The smooth reflective surface of the lake surrounding most of the temple’s base creates a unique floating impression. The misty Bedugul mountain range surrounding the lake complements the temple's scenic backdrop. Exotic Jatiluwih Rice Terrace pretty much covers the region of the namesake upland village in West Bali. The cool highlands and the breathtaking scenery of this village at the foot of Mount Batukaru makes for wonderful photo opportunities, and serves as a cool retreat away from the island's crowded south. Penatahan Hot Springs beckons travelers seeking relaxation and natural beauty. Smaller pools strategically arranged along the riverbank offer a serene and picturesque setting. Sourced from the thermal waters of Batukaru Mount, the hot springs meander down the hillsides, providing a rejuvenating experience for visitors in the quaint village of Penatahan. We wore our bathing suits and soaked about 20 minutes and wished we had more time. Taman Ayun is a royal family temple of the Mengwi Empire built in 17th century. it is one of Bali's six royal temples, which is what makes it a national treasure and tourist hotspot. The temple is located on a square section of land surrounded by a lake, appearing as if it's floating on the water. The complex is made up of beautiful pagodas and traditional architecture, and gardens with lotus ponds and fountains. The tiered areas of the temple represent the three layers of cosmos in Balinese Hinduism; heaven, or 'suarga', the world of man, 'buwah', and hell, 'bhur'. Tanah Lot Temple is an ancient Hindu shrine perched on top of an outcrop amidst constantly crashing waves. We took photos from on top rather than walk way down across the sand and wait over a half hour to see inside because of the long line of people waiting to enter. The onshore site has smaller shrines alongside leisure facilities of restaurants and shops. We highly recommend this tour, especially with Raj.

This is a great way to see the highlights of Bali. We had the flexibility to adjust our itinerary and focus on what we wanted. Our tour guide took us directly to the best spots for fotos. We decided to skip the hot springs, which gave us a little extra time in the Twin Lakes area. Overall a good experience and well recommended.
5 🌟 all day training and good driving
A long day in the (very comfortable) car, but worth it to see more of the island and some of the culture. Highlight for me was the Tanah Lot - just amazing! Nengah showed us around and was very responsive and professional.
Our driver Nyoman was incredible. He wasn’t just our driver, he was our photographer, history buff and taught us so many interesting things about Bali. He was kind and patient. Highly recommend.
Hari our driver was excellent
Awesome day with Kadek. Great Sights and done at our own pace with plenty of time to enjoy.
The Bali Trip with Mr. Gusti Ekka as our tour guide and driver was a wonderful experience. Magnificent sites, wonderful conversations about Balenese culture and customs, intersting information about four stages of rice from paddy to Gaba to Brass to Nasi! He is a great photographer so, we came back with wonderful pictures, frame worthy! We spent a lovely day, gained an insight into Bali and are returning with wonderful memories!
I was in Bali for work and had one free day, so this solo tour was the perfect choice. Everything was well organized, and we visited some of Bali's most beautiful spots, especially Tanah Lot Temple, the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, and several other amazing locations. Our guide, Ayu, was extremely kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. She made the experience enjoyable and shared interesting insights throughout the day. I also loved the food experience, which was a great way to discover authentic Balinese cuisine. This tour offers excellent value for money, whether you're traveling solo or with family and looking for a customizable experience. Highly recommended!
Terrific day out, got to see a lot of Bali, our guide was brilliant.
We had a fantastic day seeing the sights with our driver and guide Dwi. He was very friendly and knowledgeable.
We had amazing trip. Gusta eka was our guide. He guided us very well and took amazing pictures for us. Highly recommended.
This trip is a long day so be prepared. But it is worth the time. The sights and culture were amazing. The guide was superb and her patience when driving was super human.
Our driver, Ayu, was extremely warm and welcoming. She felt like our mum of the trip guiding us for the best places to eat and best places to see. She is super friendly and easy to talk to. The scenery was amazing and the rice fields were the highlight of the day. The hot springs was lovely to have a swim in and nice and quiet. We really loved seeing Bali this way as we have never been here before. It was a well rounded trip and have already recommended to family
We had a great experience with our driver, Ayu. She was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. She allowed extra time at places and allowed us to go at our own pace. She is very funny and super easy to get along with. All the food was amazing and it was very scenic, a great way to see the island ✨ We have already recommended her to family
Had a wonderful day with Hari ~ he drove very well and safely. We had wonderful conversation and he provided many tips about Balinese culture. His english was great & his service friendly and kind.
Was very kind and very informative, helped us take pictures and drive very well and safe. Loved him and would hire him again, he knew so much and took us to best spot.
The overall experience has to be rated as outstanding. We visited some amazing places in Bali. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable helpful and keen to ensure that we had the best time.
Dwi is a polite, personable man. He arrived promptly and was only too happy to be of service. We felt comfortable with his driving skills and his photographic skills captured images we wouldn’t have been able to able to achieve ourselves. Thank you and well done.
Bali is a beautiful island with a scenic drive through its natural and cultural attractions. The tour is approximately nine to ten hours long but we opted for a shorter max. eight-hour itinerary, seven of which were spent in the car. (Very clean and satisfactory but not very modern ). The island is densely populated and motorised, and the road network primarily traverses urban areas and narrow country roads. This is obviously resulting in heavy traffic and significant road anxiety. The driving style is characterised by a high volume of cars and motorcycles and at a very close proximity that can be stressful. Our driver was skilled and professional. (Very quiet). Overall, visitors should be prepared for a significant driving component of the tour. As middle-aged to older persons, we suggest the agency should inform potential customers that the tour involves intense stressful driving with unforeseen traffic jams, ups and downs as well as a lot of curves. The experience of the island’s natural beauty, rice terraces and temples is a positive aspect.
What can i say. The guy was an absolute legend. Nothing was out of his way, including some of my wifes crazy demands! ;) he was incredibly knowledgable. Hope to book him again soon.
Hari provided us with an excellent - and extensive - tour of some of the Bali highlights. He was very knowledgeable and courteous and solicitous of our needs. His driving skills were tested time and again - I certainly would not wish to drive in Bali. I would thoroughly recommend this day tour with him!
He was the best guide and very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the day with him and he is a very great photographer!
Made our driver, made for a fantastic day. Enjoyed the sights. Note- don't buy the coffee it's instant coffee with flavouring 👍
Today my father and I enjoyed a truly wonderful day tour. Our guide, Gusti Dwi, made the entire experience exceptional from start to finish. He contacted us the day before to confirm all meeting arrangements, which immediately put us at ease. The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and very well presented, and he thoughtfully provided bottled water for us — a small but meaningful detail that allowed us to relax and focus fully on enjoying the sights rather than logistics. Throughout the day, Gusti shared interesting and insightful knowledge about the places we visited, and his calm, friendly manner made the experience even more enjoyable. He was attentive without ever being intrusive, and it was clear he genuinely cares about providing a great day for his guests. We could not recommend Gusti Dwi more highly to anyone looking for an excellent tour and a memorable day in Bali. Thank you for such a lovely experience.
Dwi was our driver for 2 days. He looked after us so well and a real gentleman!! He stopped wherever we wanted to and made sure we are always safe. Best driver ever 🙌🏻
Gusti our driver was really good. He was friendly and knowledgeable. His driving felt safe and he kept car clean. He helped us a lot with photos as well. Highly recommended.
I had an amazing time with Kadek. Was a lot of fun and really affordable. He was great company and a good laugh and I would highly recommend.
The driver, his name was Wayan, picked me up in time at the hotel and he was very friendly during the tour. We held a nice conversation during the drive between the stops at the Temples, Hot springs and ricefields and he was super flexible for duration and routing! As you are not with unknown people on a private ride, this was the best choice for me!
My friends and I had a great time exploring Bali with our guide Gusti. He was patient and kind. He speaks English very well which made it easy to communicate. We enjoyed every stop because he explained in detail about the processes of things and meanings behind them. I will definitely recommend him to all my friends and family that come to Bali. Best of all he helped us understand the money and how to easily convert it to $ as we were having a tough time with that.
Very nice day with our friendly and very attentive driver and guide. Beautiful discovery of temples, rice fields, hot spring, ...
I had a lovely day exploring the sights with Wijaya despite the wet weather! Everything was included and a wide range of experiences covered.
Kadek was the best guide very helpful and great English! We saw beautiful areas in east bali and he was very knowledgeable
Absolutely amazing! Very friendly, perfectly organized, and full of local knowledge. Every moment was well planned, we discovered beautiful places, and felt completely comfortable. Highly recommended! Ayu is a very friendly person with a very nice smile!!! Can only recommend booking her tour!
We went with Gusti, amazing driver, amazing person and amazing guide. He’s so kind and easy going. We had a great time and never made us feel like he didn’t want to be here. He shows us he loves his job in every way. Thank you Gusti!
Very friendly driver, he would give us the time to take pictures of us, very talkative and explain everything we were seeing, very good experience. We never felt pressured by the times.
My family said they would give this trip 10 stars if they could! Our driver, Pak Yuda, was great and really made our tour exceptional! This was a great way to see and learn more of Bali. Every stop on the tour was enjoyed by each of the 3 generations in our group. We would definitely recommend this tour and Pak Yuda!
The trip was really good. It got me to different places in Bali that I wouldn’t have been to otherwise. Agung, the one who accompanied me all day was one of the reasons this trip was a good one. He shared a lot of his knowledge about the places we visited and even about Bali in general. Not only that, but he was really helpful with many different things during the day. If you are only having few days in Bali and you want to cover as many interesting places as possible in one day, this trip is a must!
We had such a good time on the Bali water sport and day tour with Wayan Balik. The tour included water sports, lunch, dinner, uluwatu temple, beach tour, sunset and native dance. The driver was so helpful and good knowledge around Bali. Highly recommend ed.
Everything is perfectly organized, the driver handles everything for you. The lack of time did not allow us to see the hot springs which we voluntarily removed to better enjoy wonderful places
Excellent experience with an exceptional guide, Dwi, who took us from the north to the south of Bali and arrived at the last stop, the temple to see at sunset, EXACTLY at sunset. Beautiful places. 10-hour trip, but it is well worth it. Highly recommended.
Everything is great. Super nice guide. Happy to return
It's really the highlights you should have seen. I have a great day back also thanks to my taxi and tour driver Nyoman. Thank you again
