What an amazing foodie tour. We seem to do foodie tours whenever we travel internationally and Agung made this one of the best tours yet. The food was wonderful, but Agung made it fun and informative and is a good conversationalist. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour to my friends and family.

KetutEl was the perfect guide. He shared his knowledge of the local area as well as the history behind all the food. Our whole family really enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend.
Kadek was brilliant from start to finish, he went out of his way to pick us up from kuta and gave us a dining experience only locals have. From tofu, pork and beef to amazing coffee at the end, we enjoyed every piece of food we tasted. We would highly recommend this tour especially if kadek is your tour guide!
Evening with Reza.great guide and wonderful variety of food. From the night markets with its many food choices to the great tastes of Indonesia and other cultures , even 2 smoked meat choices. We were delighted. Our 2nd tour with Reza (last time was lunch tour) thoroughly enjoyed it . Dandy joined us as taxi driver a wonderful friendly man also and we had lots of fun together
It’s a bit of a faff to get to Denpasar from Kuta but it was well worth the Grab. Budi took us to a lot - ands I mean a LOT! - of food places. These are the sorts of spots I’ve walked past countless times but not known exactly what they are, how to order or even how best to eat the food (clue: mix the sambal into the rice). The highlight was the night market, so my recommendation would be to hit an evening tour if you can. Full of locals, it’s a high energy, high calorie journey through the world of local cuisine. Most importantly, it also included several dessert options! Budi also gave us some background information on the history and culture of the area and answered our questions with knowledge and good humour. The ride back to our hotel was spent in satisfied quiet contemplation and an argument over what was the best bite. I’m pretty sure I won that 😊
This was a great experience. Lots of really interesting dishes and delicious food that we would otherwise not have tried. I would recommend going in the morning or evening when the market is open. We went in early afternoon and most of the market was closed.
We got to try many local places and different foods with our tour guide Rezza. The smoked duck was my favourite. So great to experience the real flavours, eating in places with just the locals away from the tourist areas. Oh, and plenty of food so definitely come hungry! Thanks Rezza for the experience.
Great experience! The tour guide was fun to be around and made us feel real comfortable. We came hungry, but ate so much that we got full quickly. It’s a great way to experience the city and culture. We were able to taste a variety of dishes, fruits, and snacks.
Nope was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable and interesting to speak with. The street food tour was fabulous.
Kadek was awesome! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. And the food tastings were great! Come hungry, there was also a lot of food! Very good value and experience for your money!
Very local experience. You are not in a tourist area during the food tour, so you will a real taste of local flavor and surroundings.
Reza was an excellent guide and host! Following a work conference, I was ready to experience the 'real' Bali. Our tour started at the largest markets in Bali, and then we threaded our way through the surrounding laneways. Reza shared the special dishes that only a local would know and that a true food lover would enjoy. We enjoyed local fruit and sweets, followed by a divine chicken curry soup. We then tasted three variations of satay, all of which were delicious, and enjoyed them even more with tea at most stops. I really appreciated not seeing another tourist during our three-hour tour, and Reza going out of his way to find a pharmacy to help me find the proper medication. At the end of the tour, he also helped me find a cab. I felt like I was spending time with a trusted local friend. We were at the heart and soul of Bali, among the locals. I highly recommend Reza for an authentic taste of Bali street food.
We had a fab time with our guide Putu Merta on the food tasting tour. There is a LOT of food, we'd seen the advice to not have breakfast, but maybe don't eat the night before as well! There was a great variety of dishes to try from across Indonesia, and we enjoyed eating at local spots that we wouldn't have tried on our own. Putu took us for great sweet options at the end of the trip and a lovely coffee stop.
Merta Putra was absolutely incredible! Walked around tasting some of the most delicious local cuisines whilst also learning a lot about the culture and Balinese people. Our Visit to a local fresh produce market is not for the faint hearted, but we really couldn't have asked for a more authentic experience. We visited places we could have never discovered on our own. Hidden gems. Thank you
If you wanna eat like the locals and enjoy tons of delicious food this is your tour. It was amazing and my guide showed me all the cool food spots.
We had an AMAZING time with Puti as our guide. He was so knowledgeable, and we learned so much not only about traditional Indonesian cuisine but also about the culture. The 3 hours went by SO fast. Come hungry because there is a lot of food!
We did this food tour with our guide Gede. Being our 1st trip to Bali, we had a few trepidations, looking at the Badung Market. It was generally only locals eating here. However we were pleasantly surprised. All of the food choices were great and we had plenty to eat. Definitely come here with an empty stomach. We were Gede's 4th customer, but you wouldn't know it. He was knowledgeable, extremely accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. This tour stayed within the market, so not a lot of walking was required. Although, Gede did take us through a local park after eating to help walk off what we'd just eaten. I would definitely recommend this tour and Gede as a guide.
A must do food tour - with authentic tastings all evening with Reza. Reza was knowledgeable and took us to many off beat (non touristy) destinations to eat with food that we had never heard of. The local vendors were all lovely and it was great to eat with the locals. This is the true Bali and make sure you go with an empty stomach as there is so much beautiful food.
Would have scored a zero if provided. Disappointed is an understatement. Unprofessional and rude. Kadek, the guide, cancelled and did not inform us until we reached out to him 10 minutes after his show time. When we asked what restaurants were on the tour to visit on our own he went “radio silent.”Go with a trusted service…With Locals is not one of them.
Great experience! I love trying new food but finding tiny local stalls when I don’t know the cuisine, language, area or hygiene is very difficult to be confident to eat at authentic local food stalls. This tour was perfect!! Our guide was great and we loved all of the food spots and no “Bali belly” lol! Highly recommend!
Met Budi at food market. As it was a day after the local celebrations a lot of stands were closed including the craft market. I was introduced to all the fruits and veg of the area. I got a taste of mangustine and snake fruits followed by many tastings of local deserts. Picked up some nice spices. As a solo traveller we then took to the scooter and had many tastings of soups. Tofu and many different meat and curry dishes. Got to visit a silver sales area. Hugh choice and it also housed a large display of crystal and geode pieces. Loved the few hours and learned a lot about the area. Good for solo travellers.
Our guide was the friendly and patient Budi! This is a great value tour, around 3 hours. You eat a lot of food and its very authentic. Some items are in very humble stalls but everything was clean and prepared in front of you. Just be prepared to walk a lot but you stop heaps to eat and hear about food and culture
Really cool walking food tour, everything we ate was delicious and from little local places we would never have found on our own. Our tour guide Rezi was fantastic, such a chill fun guy who gave us so many recommendations of places to eat at based on where we were travelling to in Bali. We were absolutely stuffed by the end so make sure you go there hungry!
This food tour was amazing. Definitely a 10 out of 10. The exploring of the market areas, seeing some historical buildings and statutes along the way, made the food tour even better. Experiencing the various fruits inside the market was wonderful, and we love that experience. The food we will have to say was great, and we truly got a great taste of Bali cuisine. The walking helped prepare you for your next delicious dish. The dessert at the end was perfect, hot, and delicious. Our food tour guide was truly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly and provided a true Bali experience through food and sightseeing. I would highly recommend this food tour to anyone wanting to experience a taste of Bali.
What can we say? An excellent experience led by our guide Budi who was not only a guide but a host! Budi was extremely accommodating, even waiting for us for 20 mins as we were late due to my mistake in finding g the meeting point. From the moment we arrived Budi made sure we knew what to expect, guiding us around the night market and making sure we got the best experience. If you are joining this tour there is so much food so be sure to psce yourself and just sample as you go! We went at night so the tour was local to the night market which was great for us but if you want more of a walking tour then go during the day where you have to venture further to find things. Top tip: if you are going at night and get a taxi/grab there, make sure you have the grab app to book your trip back to your accommodation. We didn't see any car/taxi stands near the nightmarket. If you are looking to experience local cuisine with a top guide, then you can't go wrong booking this trip. Thank you, Budi 😀
Amazing food. De Nopi was very knowledgeable, had great communication skills, and we felt very comfortable with him guiding us around.
Hidden gem in Bali. We visited a local night market where Budi showed us over 10 different local cuisines. Very little tourists so very authentic experience with wonderful food. Budi made sure all the food was of high quality and safe to eat whilst being an excellent tour guide. One of the most memorable experiences of our trip. Must do in Bali!
Bali's food is a delightful mix of spices and flavors try Babi Guling and Lawar for an authentic taste! Indonesian Foods
You must do this tour! We wanted to come to Bali and experience it in its true form, so what better way than with a food tour. We’re so glad we did it because Budi, our tour guide taught us so much that we will remember for the next time we are in Bali. As we were in Denpasar, it is already a place where locals hang out, not so many tourists. Budi took us around the city to try lots of different Indonesian food and drinks. Coming from a western society you may have had a little fear as trying foods we’re not familiar may be frightening, but dint be scared! You are in good hands. Budi’s knowledge was incredible and I felt like I really had to know a true sense of Bali from this tour. I knew what dishes to look out for during the rest of my and one’s that perhaps I didn’t like as much. Thank you again Budi, you were great :).
I cannot speak highly enough of the tour we had today with Budi. It started out badly from our side as we were caught in very bad traffic and running very late. I was worried but Budi was super kind and reassured that he would wait for us. I felt awful having him wait but he was so kind/reassuring about it all which we we were very grateful for. We started off in the local market (Badung) with a few tastings before heading to some local Warungs and vendors for an amazing selection of local dishes. I couldn't believe the amount of food that was on offer and we were also offered regular drinks (water, iced tea, local soft drinks) as well as some lovely sweet treats to take home with us. Budi was very thoughtful throughout. Asking if we needed more of anything, if we had enough water etc. We also learned a lot about Indonesian culture as well as the food and Budi couldn't do enough for us. If you like going off the tourist track and sampling lots of good food whilst doing it, I would wholeheartedly recommend this. We do food tours regularly whilst on holiday and this was one of our favourites.
Fabulous mixture of local food tasting and cultural insights. Nopi took me to a mixture of market and street stalls, where the food was delicious and the sellers friendly. He took me to the lovely palace where I enjoyed the gardens, walked along interesting streets and through different areas and made sure I was safely in a car to take me to my hotel after the outing. He is a considerate guide and engaged with his culture. I enjoyed the tour very much. It provided real insight into Balinese life and culture.
Nice private tour. Be prepared for the local feel. The places we were taken to were excellent and exclusive
Great way to try street food with a guide who can select safe to eat locations. Food was VERY TASTY!! I like eating local food but need to take care to ensure food is hygienic. Each location was clearly a locals eating location. Beef soup is my all time favorite Indonesian dish, cosely followed by the Nasi Campour and soto ayam!! VERY YUMMY FOOD AND GREAT LOCAL KNOWLEDGE!
Reza was an excellent food tour guide. We went through the markets where he showed us the four levels. Then took us to many places to eat. Such a variety and all delicious! Tried so many food and drink we wouldn't have known to order. Reza was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Reza catered to dietary requirements. It was also nice to walk around this aunthentic part of Bali. Would highly reccomend this food tour with Reza.
What an experience! Reza was simply sensational. So full of knowledge of the area and the food. We started at a local food market at the quiet time of the day, however, seeing four levels of different food was quite overwhelming to start with. A whole lot of different food, most of which we had never heard of let along tried. We essentially walked from here, around a couple of blocks to a variety of different places, eating with locals and experiencing everything that the local vendors had to offer. Hint: Make sure you come with an appetite as the amount of food is seriously large - but absolutely delicious. Be openminded as I am sure, there will be few things you have tried before.
The guide was very knowledgeable and spoke English well. We enjoyed a range of foods from different vendors and explored the Badung markets. The guide was very accommodating when we wanted to have rest breaks and was willing to adjust the tour to our preferences.
We had the most amazing time! Our tour guide was June Sophia and my goodness she was absolutely exceptional! We went to all these amazing places and she made sure that what we consumed was safe!!! Highly recommend the tour but even more I highly recommend June!
What an outstanding tour with June! We tasted so many different foods. Some were in the local food market, others in small local establishment's. Everything was hand picked by June, clean and extremely tasty food. I wanted to try local foods to understand Bali’s cuisine better before our 3 week holiday in Bali. That is exactly what this tour did for me. With my new knowledge about Balinese cuisine, I will have better food experiences for the rest of my stay. June is knowable, fun and walk the extra mile to make the tour enjoyable .
Tour guide was very sweet, food was great, not too much walking but a good mix of seeing and learning about the area, and trying all different types of food. you must come hungry but 10/10 would recommend.
We met our guide Budi at a the local market that the local Balinese use for their daily weekly shopping, Budi was so kind and full of information of the way local Balinese get about their day to day, and was full of explanations on the food culture history of these beautiful people. It really was an insight into a way of living where such a densely populated land can have harmony and smiles. Straight away Budi let us know to organise a taxi to colllect us after our tour as this area was very local and it would not be as simple as stepping out to the road verge for a taxi to simply appear like in down town Kuta… he explained how the market works the peak times generally early morning and late evening… we were there through the mid day, the market was amazing an array of colours smells produce and products. We sampled some amazing dishes sweets and fruits I had experienced before with Budi explaining all along the history of the food, how and when the Balinese have these foods. I highly recommend this tour… we did not cook but we learnt so much and tasted delicious foods. A true delicious excursion… Thank Budi your guiding and this your was a highlight for me on my holiday in Bali
The whole trip was memorable! We tried so many different, fantastic dishes, snacks, drinks and fruits; many that we would never have known of. It was more than enough for a meal! Our guide was knowledgeable not only about the foods but also history of the area which made the tour even more interesting.
Reza is a "foodie" and shared with us some of his favorite local establishments...ones that a tourist are not likely to experience/know about. He was patient, attentive and informative. Highly recommend Reza's food tasting tour! Just make sure you are hungry!!
This was hands down the best food tour we have ever been on. There was so many stops and so much food to try that we lost count and by then end we had to tap out even though our guide had even more to offer if we were able. Our guide, Budi, was also nothing short of brilliant. He was so knowledgeable about the food and about Balinese culture, had great English and taught us loads even just in the time we spent on the tour. Couldn't recommend this tour highly enough and thanks once again to Budi for this evening which was wonderful!
Our group of 5 had a wonderful food trip with Reza. I asked him if he could pick us up from our hotel and he readily agreed (for a minimal fee) and this was the best decision since we were able to go to places truly off the beaten path. It’s a great introduction to Balinese cuisine. You will be a warung expert afterwards. There is SO MUCH FOOD. I recommend this tour as a substitute of lunch or dinner. By stop 6 /7 we were tapping out. Reza was great about making changes on the fly, giving into our sweet and cold cravings, and answering our questions. I was worried about the cost (we had some spontaneous bites) and time (we lingered in some places) but Reza was so reassuring and sweet. He’s a great dude. It felt like we were hanging with a friend. I highly recommend this.
We had initially initially booked a food tour with Kadek on our 1st day, but when we got to know his easygoing and fun personality and heard his awesome explanations, we knew we had hit jackpot. We heard his advice and applied his tips to change our vacation, and booked him everyday for the rest of our trip, and it was the best decision we could have made. He always had a solution to what we needed, always had great information, was always upbeat, and even got us discounts at shops and tours. He made all the difference and turned a good vacation into an incredible one. Thanks so much, Kadek!
Whenever I land in a new place, I do a street food tour asap; helps you find your bearings, you have delicious food you’d never find alone and you get the lowdown on the culture etc. This tour was a disappointment. We had chicken soup, chicken rice, steamed rice cake with peanut sauce, crispy pork & satay, followed by a coffee. There were no tropical fruits, no noodle dish, no sweet treats. The tour says you will be shown monuments etc in the area; we were not shown anything. The tour says around 3 hours; was 90minutes. There was no explanation of where we were, what we were eating, no introductions to the people cooking the food. I tried to ask questions about the food, why he had chose the places etc but he wasn’t able to answer any questions really. It was a great shame as this was my daughter’s first ever food tour. I’ve done food tours across Europe and South East Asia and every one of them has been utterly brilliant so I had no idea that this tour would be so lacklustre. This is the first negative review I’ve ever written on here but it’s important to be honest so fellow travellers know & can make their own decisions based on truthful reviews.
June was absolutely amazing! From booking to the actual day of our tour, June was communicative and helpful each step of the way. She was easily able to accommodate our multiple dietary requirements and find good alternatives. She was very informative, fun and overall just an enjoyable host. She allowed us to get an authentic taste of Balinese cuisine while walking through the streets she giving us the history on the areas.
Budi was a very knowledgeable and accommodating guide! This small market in the center of Denpasar had a huge variety of delicious local street food; it's a lot of food so come hungry.
Really enjoyed experiencing the local hustle and bustle away from the tourist areas, seeing where the locals buy their food at market and eating at local vendors. It was a very authentic tour. June our guide was very knowledgeable and easy to talk too. Go hungry as you sample a lot of food.
June made the day very special - we were planning food tour and ate some amazing local food, she helped me find the perfect souvenir of Bali and had some amazing insights into indonesian life.
