For this review I will try my best to keep it as professional as possible and not emotional. Although I will admit it is very difficult to stay at such a magical place like this and not leave with a distinct amount of emotion simply because instead of feeling like a guest you feel like family during your entire stay. I had the honor and privilege of staying at this magnificent resort while visiting Bali, Indonesia and spent a few days in Ubud, Bali. Upon arrival much like the surrounding area the feeling of enchantment is as evident as the traditional ambiance which begins at the lobby during check in. Greeted by warm smiles and a welcome drink I was easily checked in by the incredible hospitality of Ade, Dea and Fiji...and escorted to my Villa. The entire Villa was AMAZING and that is an understatement. Private outdoor pool, traditional deck, lounge and sun chairs. Inside a huge bed with high ceilings, in room fridge with cold drinks included. Fresh linens and soft pillows with the smell of natural frangipani in the air. In room safe, semi outdoor shower with a huge stone bathtub. The villa was a 10 out of 10! and daily housekeeping by Emon and Dipa was professional and refreshing. Tha Grounds are exceptional and natural. The feeling of staying in an enchanted forest or a fairy tale forest. Outdoor mail pool on grounds with Bar. Always a staff on call and about the resort always calling you by your name and attentive. In a nutshell there isn't one thing I would change about this place. The Restaurant has a stellar staff of Erna, It's, Widi, Sutrisma, Kadek Arta, Maudiana, Arik and Dewa Sudha. And to add to this amazing food worth mentioning the kitchen staff of Degung, Rina, Dekna and Wahyu. I had the privilege of having breakfast daily which was delicious every day, fresh juices and flavors beyond measure. Lunch and dinner All amazing. The Chefs at this resort are 5 Star. Nightly entertainment from Acoustic performances to traditional balinese dancers. The Spa... Well I'll keep this simple with one word... EXCEPTIONAL! I guarantee one appointment won't be enough. It's very affordable and the service from the staff of young ladies Swandewi and Jeri you both are AMAZING! Overall if I had any suggestion at all would be some weights in the gym and a few pieces of updated equipment but to be honest in the mornings I simply went for a walk. The surrounding area is beautiful, safe and Simply beautiful. I would absolutely recommend The Sun Of Granary to anyone traveling to Bali and visiting Ubud. The resort itself embodies the people and culture of the country and completely offers a precise shining example all of the beauty that is Indonesia all wrapped up and placed into one single resort.

An exceptional hotel surrounded by the peaceful rice fields of Ubud. The all-day à la carte breakfast is outstanding—whether you prefer French toast, pancakes, Nasi Goreng, or Mie Goreng, everything is fresh and delicious. The pool is beautiful, clean, and refreshing, while the restaurant serves excellent food throughout the day. The complimentary shuttle to Ubud is a great convenience, and there are also lovely local restaurants nearby. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. “Enjoy yourself” isn’t just something they say—it’s how they make you feel. Everyone is genuinely warm, attentive, and always happy to help. My husband, our two children, and I absolutely loved our stay. A perfect blend of relaxation, hospitality, and authentic Balinese charm.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about our stay at The Sun of Granary Resort & Villas. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. Every staff member we met was so kind, friendly, and caring, they remembered our names, checked in on us, and made us feel like family rather than guests. The resort is absolutely beautiful. Waking up to the rice field views every morning was so peaceful, and our rooms felt like our own little oasis. It was clean, comfortable, and the perfect place to unwind after exploring Bali. One of my favorite parts was how much heart the staff put into everything they did. You can tell they truly care about creating a memorable experience. It’s rare to find that level of hospitality. If you’re looking for a place that’s quiet, beautiful, and filled with genuinely wonderful people, I would recommend staying here without hesitation. We had a really nice stay here. The staff is super friendly and always there to help or answer your questions. There is a really nice pool with a very relaxing atmosphere. The food (breafast en diner) is very good. You can book a lot of extras at a very low price, we enjoyed a massage and a private dinner. There is also a free shuttle to the city Ubud. Would recommend this stay to everyone, couples, families, friends who like a relax vacation.
