Honestly, with over 16,000 reviews, I’m not sure there’s much left to say about this place, but I still had to share how amazing our experience was. First of all, the staff were beyond incredible. Everyone was so warm, kind, and welcoming in a way that genuinely surprised us. You could really feel how much they cared about making guests feel special. The resort itself is absolutely stunning. It’s huge, with so many beautiful areas to explore, and everywhere we went felt like stepping into a luxurious palace. We actually loved walking around and discovering different parts of the property because there was so much to see. The food was amazing, too. Our breakfast was included, and it was honestly one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had, with such a huge variety of options. We also tried Koral Restaurant, which was excellent, and the other restaurants and beach club were great as well. Our room was spotless, and the attention to detail from the housekeeping team was something else. You could tell they genuinely cared about making everything perfect. We also had a little honeymoon surprise waiting for us, which made our stay even more special and memorable. Everything from the service and facilities to the food and overall atmosphere exceeded our expectations. We genuinely enjoyed every moment of our stay and would absolutely love to come back. This place really lives up to all the amazing reviews!

This was our second time staying at The Apurva Kempinski Bali, and while our first experience in the Deluxe Rooms wasn’t quite what we had hoped for, our stay this time in the Cliff Suites more than made up for it! The difference in our overall experience was incredible, and the Cliff Suites are something I would highly recommend to anyone considering a stay here. From start to finish, the service was absolutely 10/10. Every interaction was warm, genuine and attentive, and the entire team went above and beyond to make our family feel special. A special mention to Dedi, Sintia and the whole team at the Cliff Lounge, who made every visit such a pleasure. Their hospitality truly stood out and made our stay even more memorable. Another highlight was Tresna at the Kubu Pool Bar. Not only was the service fantastic, but his magic tricks added such a fun and memorable touch to our days by the pool. Those little extra moments are what make a holiday truly special, especially when travelling with children! Our whole family had the most amazing time, and we left with such wonderful memories. It’s the people who make a luxury resort truly exceptional, and the team at Kempinski absolutely delivered this time around. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special. We’re already looking forward to coming back! ❤️
The Apurva Kempinski Bali — Grand Luxury by the Ocean A magnificent hotel where grand architecture, luxurious details and Indonesian cultural elements come together beautifully. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the concierge team was very helpful with bookings and arrangements. We loved the variety of restaurants, especially breakfast by the beach, followed by a refreshing swim. Our suite was beautiful, with lovely ocean and pool views. The spa was excellent, with special thanks to Novi and Fatimah for their wonderful treatments. Koral was another highlight, offering a unique underwater dining experience and an excellent signature set menu. After the jungle, the beautiful beach was the perfect balance to our trip, while the weddings and celebrations added a lovely, lively atmosphere. The only area for improvement was the service, which could sometimes be slow and inconsistent. Evening turndown service was also not provided every night, which was unexpected for a hotel of this calibre. Overall, a memorable beachfront stay combining grand luxury, cultural character and beautiful ocean views.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was excellent, beautiful views, swimming pool, food, facilities, and overall atmosphere. The hotel truly offers a high level of comfort and hospitality, and we enjoyed our time here very much. In terms of services, We especially appreciated the hospitality of the room boys, Dewa, Aryel, and Ari. They always greeted us warmly and were especially kind and friendly toward our child. There is, however, one small area that I feel could be improved: the way the security staff greet guests arriving by car. We were using a rental car that was a relatively basic/low-class vehicle, and every time we entered the hotel, the security staff would ask, “Mau ngapain, ada keperluan apa?” (“What are you here for?”). I understand that the security team is simply doing their job, and there was certainly no intention to be rude. However, for a hotel of this class, I think the choice of words could be more warm and welcoming. Something like “Good afternoon, Sir. Are you staying with us?”, “Welcome, Sir. How may we assist you?”, or simply “Are you staying here?” would create a much more pleasant first impression.
The hotel is beautiful, the architecture is on another level. The views from the hotel are gorgeous, the staff is lovely, especially Wahyu, Natasha and Nanda who helped me with the check-in process. In such a luxurious hotel there were several things lacking. The mirrors in my room were dirty, the TV remote was barely working, the toilet seat was broken. On the other hand everything else was nice- the room was spacious and beautiful, bed was super comfortable, the private pool was amazing. It is hard to get in touch with hotel’s facilities, particularly, the Spa. I tried calling them from my room more than once, and no one picked up. The reception gave me a Whatsapp contact to get in touch but I couldn’t get a message back for a bit more than two hours. Pool changing rooms and toilets were dirty and had an unpleasant smell. The beds by the pool were occupied by guest’s belongings- while there are signs everywhere that they will be removed in 30 minutes if no one shows up, they were there for very long periods (I left after 4hours and they were still there). Many people were trying to find beds by the pool but no luck because of that. Beach club beds. The waiting time is very long. I came and asked the gentleman working there if I may sit anywhere and if I could order something, he said yes and said he’ll be back with the menu. I was in no rush as I was enjoying the sun but then I noticed I was already waiting for an hour. I moved beds and asked a different waiter if I could get a menu, from there it was okay. Also, they were out of towels. Not relevant to this specific experience, but in the restaurant there, the seafood risotto is really good. Another thing is the departure lounge and gym. Gym is well equipped and very neat. The changing rooms however were dirty with a completely wet floor everywhere even though the facilities are nice. The departure lounge is nothing but a room with black coffee, tea and water. If you want to work there, it might be difficult as the outlets are not in a convenient place. While the hotel itself is truly gorgeous, these little details made the experience somewhat disappointing based on the fact that it’s supposed to be top notch.
