At first, we thought the pool was private, but it is actually shared with the other rooms. However, considering the price, we would definitely recommend this accommodation. The best way to get here is by scooter. If you haven't rented one, we would not recommend staying here, as there is quite a walk from the main road to the accommodation. At night, you can hear the sounds of the animals from the surrounding rice fields. We really enjoyed this, as it gave the place a very peaceful and authentic atmosphere.

It is wonderfully located off the main road. It's 4 minutes walk or 2 minutes scooter ride to a lot of nice restaurants and coffee places. Right in the rice fields and no noise from the street. At night you hear the crickets and frogs. You can have breakfast in the street or they can make it for you, served at your terrace. It looks like there are only 3 houses and one of them is bigger, but the smaller ones are big enough to host a small family with an extra bed. There's also a sofa where a kid should be able to sleep. There are 3 little nice cats around the place and they are lovely! Everyone says that Ubud is too busy... that's absoluut right, but not here! 😉
We had the most wonderful stay at Shivananda villa - surrounded by the rice fields was so peaceful & tranquil to wake up too each morning. Our host, Made was a kind and lovely lady, helped us with everything that we needed. Great location, not too busy but very easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go. The best part was the cats that we adopted for the week & we even had our own baby kitten 🥹 I would recommend this place to anyone, we will be back :)
Surrounded by rice fields, the villa made me feel like home and I find myself being comforted even though it was my first stay. The owner here is very warm hearted and full of hospitality. The room is nicely cleaned and beautifully presented with Balinese Authentic decor with wooden furnitures. There is a balcony looking outward from the room and I enjoyed just sitting there and looking outwards around the swimming pool and the rice fields. If you don’t like the fuss around the city area, this place is still close enough and perfect spot for your stay.
We enjoyed staying at villas! We walked 8-10 min to main road through beautiful rice fields and maybe 30 min to centre, but with a scooter should be more easy. Everybody in Ubud knows where the villas are, so we haven’t any problems with delivery/pick up from Grab for example. The owners are very nice (they made us coffee, replace the towels) and made our holiday so pleasant. Also, we love their cats and will recommend this place❤️
