Scallywags Smugglers

​We had the absolute best stay at Scallywags Smugglers! Our room was wonderfully quiet, cozy, and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy, we loved relaxing in our little private courtyard, and two major highlights were the awesome pool and the fantastic outdoor shower! ​It was actually my birthday during our stay, and the team went above and beyond by making a special "cake" out of towels and fresh flowers in our room such a thoughtful, amazing touch that was so much appreciated! 🌺🎂 ​As great as the hotel is, the real heart of Scallywags is the staff. They are truly amazing, welcoming us with open arms and making us feel right at home—like part of the family. A huge, special shoutout to Suci, Denzel, Aros, and Pretuo (so sorry if I butchered any spellings!): you guys made our stay truly unforgettable. ​Thank you for everything, we can’t wait to come back! 🥂

The room and location was great, very near the port and in the middle of the east and west coast. The rooms and the service were perfect, very clean and comfortable beds. The breakfast was a bit far away considering the last day when you have to catch a ferry at 8:00. Breakfast was simple but very nice with a great view. I recommend!

I travel four months of the year, so I know what’s good and bad. This place went above and beyond twice for me. I booked their resort on Gilly T by mistake. Make sure you book right Island and Scallywags Normally no Cancellation. They let me stay at this resort And changed for me for free. They message you on WhatsApp all detail details which is great. I left my charger and they walked and found me and gave it me. Breakfast was a lot better than expected see photo excellent. The View at breakfast is stunning see photo and the water is clear Sunbeds available perfect. Room was like a four star on an island that’s like a five star.

Really shocked by our stay here. We were a group of 4 staying for 3 nights. Expected much nicer for the amount of money we were paying (about 800k/ room per night). Mouldy bathrooms. When it rained, water went everyhwere all over the bathroom counters and got all of my toiletries completely soaked. Located quite far from the much nicer Scallywags Beach Club. Nobody gave us clear instructions on how to get to hideaway. Nobody helped us with our bags on the 10 minute walk to hideaway. When we checked in, we were informed that our rooms would be cleaned daily. They were not cleaned once in 3 nights. Lights weren't working in the bathroom. Our friends in the neighbouring room had a cracked shower head that sprayed water everywhere. We brought all of this to the attention of the staff after our first AND second nights. Nothing was done. I will say, the view from the beachside restaurant is lovely and the access to the waterfront is nice. The food itself was very good as well. For the price that we paid, I feel actually cheated by the experience. After travelling full time for 4 months, this is one of the most disappointing places we've been to. You can find much nicer accomodation for the same price. Avoid unless you want to waste money. They call it "hideaway" for a reason....
