Extremely disappointing handling of a refund — effectively charged twice for the same booking ! I made a payment of RM3,700.72 (IDR15,909,342) on 4 July 2026. I was subsequently informed that this first transaction would be cancelled and refunded in full, and on that basis, I proceeded to make a second payment of RM4,661.23 on 21 August 2026 using a different card. I was later informed that the refund had been initiated and that I should allow 1–14 business days for it to be reflected in my account. However, the refund has still not been received. In effect, I have been left paying twice for the same booking. I have been following up repeatedly since September, including by email and WhatsApp. On 2 October, after I escalated the matter, I was assured by the Assistant Front Office Manager that the issue had been escalated to the Finance team and payment provider, and that I would receive a concrete update, including the refund reference and expected crediting timeline, by 4 October 2026. Today is 7 October 2026, and I have still received neither the refund nor the promised update. What is particularly frustrating is not simply the delay, but the lack of proper follow-through and communication after multiple assurances. I have been patient throughout, but this has now gone on for months. I am posting this review because I hope someone from management/Finance will finally take ownership of this matter and resolve it promptly. I would appreciate the return of the RM3,700.72 that remains outstanding, together with proper confirmation of the refund transaction. I hope Rumah Luwih will treat this seriously and resolve the matter without requiring me to pursue further escalation.

My wife and I stayed 9 nights at the Rumah Luwih Bali. It was also our first time visiting Bali. The hotel is situated on the east coast side of the island and somewhat further away from a lot of the more popular tourist areas. However, this suited us perfectly! The hotel offered a peaceful, relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Located right on the beach, our room overlooked the waves rolling along the beachfront. The room was spacious, well equipped bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The pool is huge and a great way to spend an afternoon relaxing. The restaurant was outstanding! The quality of the food was amazing and the Head Chef would come out and say hello to the guests each night. The entire staff at the hotel were perfect. I cannot remember everyones name and sorry for not mentiong all of the kind hospitable staff we met, but along with the friendly head Chef, Candra and Diwan would look after us everynight we dined at the restaurant. There are also a pet goose family which have a little hut in the grounds of the hotel. They would roam around throughout the day which helped create a comforting friendly experience :) If you are looking for a more relaxing and quiet spot away from the crowds, I can highly recommend this hotel. We will be returning again next year! Thank you for hosting us.

Our recent 8-day stay at Rumah Luwih was nothing short of exceptional. Upon arrival, we were personally welcomed by the manager, Irham, and upgraded to a beautiful ocean-view suite in recognition of our IHG Diamond Elite status. The property makes a striking first impression with its breezy, elegant lobby. Our suite was spacious, comfortable, and meticulously clean, offering breathtaking views of the ocean waves. The resort grounds are equally impressive, featuring lush landscaping, an expansive infinity pool, and a scenic pond home to a lovely family of swans. We dined regularly at the resort restaurant, which offers a broad selection of quality dishes. Above all, the outstanding service set this hotel apart. The entire team was exceptionally friendly and attentive, even assembling to wish us safe travels upon our departure. We had a thoroughly relaxing experience and look forward to visiting Rumah Luwih again in the near future.

We had an excellent stay here last month for a couple of days - we chose this property due to location near the Safari. It is a very peaceful hotel that feels like a large mansion. The staff were fantastic including Ani in the restaurant and Irham at front desk. We would not hesitate to stay here again and hope to do so in future. Highly reccommend.
