Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali

We recently spent the last 4 days of our trip at The Movenpick. Honestly, we were extremely dissatisfied. Our accommodation had been arrange 3 months in advanced, paid for in full and priority arrangements put in place for when we arrived. I had called the day before check in and asked if we could check in any earlier and was advised no, which was fine. I was advised that we could bring our things there and leave them in the lobby until check in. The next morning we arrived at 10.30am to drop our bags and were asked if we would like to complete registration etc whilst we were there, so we did. We were then advised that we would be listed as a priority and the room would be ready within 2hrs. Therefore we hung around and got some lunch and then proceeded back to the lobby 2hrs later to be told the room wasn't ready and to wait another hour. Fast forward to 3pm, which is their general check in time, we are still waiting around. With no explanation, and to continue to wait. 4pm we got taken to our room with a dinner voucher. The room was fine, as in layout, cleanliness was average. Bed sheets cleaned although stained. Room service daily included sweaped floor, fresh towels, rubbish removal, water replacement and fresh sheets. From that evening we both begun to feel unwell. The water in the bottles tasted strange, the food was inconsistent at times fine and other times horrible. The pool area, was dirty, both my daughter and I have cuts all over our feet. The childrens areas were weathered and worn and the entire pool was one depth, and lack of sun lounges. Location wise, there isn't much around. No where to wonder to everything relys on transport. The restaurants were expensive, spending $12 on a small cocktail and $190 AUD on a meal at Adrianna. Both our travel agent and ourselves are very disappointed with our stay at Movenpick. I don't believe it is a 5 star resort and needs a big freshen up!

We had a wonderful experience at Mövenpick especially thanks to Lisa Candra, the Guest Experience Manager. My husband had an accident during our holiday and needed extra care and assistance. Although the hotel was fully booked, we were incredibly fortunate to meet Lisa at breakfast. She kindly went above and beyond to help arrange rooms for us and continued to check on us and provide thoughtful support throughout our stay. Her kindness and genuine care made a stressful situation much easier for our family. We are grateful for everything she has done and would also like to thank the hotel team for their hospitality. Eventually, We stayed 6 nights here and would happily recommend Mövenpick to others and look forward to staying here again!

What a wonderful hotel! The pool was amazing! The kids didn't get board and there was always something to do. Water aerobics was always lots of fun! Rooms were clear, breakfast buffet was delicious and the chocolate hour was our kids highlight! The staff were so amazing and helpful, even helped with a special delivery from the tooth fairy! Looking forward to coming back for another family holiday soon x

The hotel makes the trip so satisfying! It has the best kids club, kids love it. The service is good, staffs are friendly. We had a small talk with staffs at the pool bar. It was fun. And the room itself is comfortable, close to the pool and the restaurant. The breakfast choice have good variety, you don’t get bored if you stay three days there. Has two yoga classes in the morning, which is also nice.
