Lumi Hotel Gili Trawangan

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights: we originally booked for 2, but loved it so much we extended our stay. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Andi — he’s very kind and attentive. We also really appreciated Say, Agus, and the modest but very thoughtful Alifh and Trainee. The pool with an ocean view is amazing, the sunbeds are comfortable, and the background music is pleasant. We were really pleased with the room cleaning — Arwak is tidy and careful. Breakfast is a buffet, and everything is delicious — especially the fresh juices and pastries. The lunch menu is great too, and the cocktails are good. In the evenings, there’s a beachside barbecue with live music. We were especially impressed by the performer Echank — a real talent! Highly recommend: the service is top‑notch, and our stay was perfect.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We came for the hotel, but fell in love with the staff ❤️ I booked Lumi because the hotel looked beautiful, but after 6 days, it was the people who stole my heart. We made memories here that will last a lifetime. Panji and say, the supervisors, were the very first people we met. They asked our names right away and treated us like family, answering every question we had. Hands down the best hotel staff I've ever met. Trainee and Irwan at breakfast: your energy made every morning so happy. You already knew what I needed before I even asked! Dani's cocktails are the best I've had in all of Gili. Sipping one at sunset is a must when you stay at Lumi! Agus, your energy at night by the sea in front of the hotel pulls everyone in. So much fun, absolutely crazy (in the best way)! 🔥 And the gentle Alift and Yogi, and Lina with the beautiful smile and all other staffs Thank you all! I'll definitely come back, too meet again with these amazing people. Panji, say, Dani, we miss you already! Miss you, smeton! 🥹

We’ve stayed as a couple for 6 nights at Lumi in a Cabana. We had such a great time there! Even though the Cabana and front pool were awesome, the best thing about Lumi are the workers there! After one night, almost every worker knew us already and helped us where ever it was necessary. Even everyone was so kindly, we have to give a shoutout for Kadek. She was such an incredible polite person who gave us kind of a feeling of a good friend who just helped us to have the best time at Gili T we could imagine… and yes, it worked out! Lumi at it self is very good located on the west cost, so you have a great view on the sunset. You only must know, that you won’t be able to see the sunset “until the ocean” because of the Mount Agung (Bali). On top of that, please notice, that the entrance to the sea is full of rocks, so it might be good to wear beach shoes. Because Lumi is in the western part of the island it isn’t as crowded as on the eastern side. If you’re looking for a completely quit island, Gili Meno is probably the better option for you. Even though, you can rent for free a bike to circle around the island - that is very cool! The hotel has an own beach bar which means you can hang out in the first row and get drinks served, which are very tasty! The breakfast is normally included and is pretty good but nothing outstanding. Even as a vegetarian you’ll find some food as well. So all in all we can highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay at Gili T! Even though it has a 5 star review, every hotel has room for improvement: - our AC in the Cabana was leaking badly through the ceiling. After the 3rd time we got an upgrade to a better Cabana which was a good agreement for us but necessary as well. - the breakfast was good but it would be nice to get e.g. yogurt for a muesli, hummus. Besides that, if the breakfast is including it should also include other coffee specials (e.g. iced Latte, Americano, cappuccino) as well, not only black coffee. - bike rental is a very good opportunity for exploring the island for your own, but therefore they have to work good: breaks, air pressure in the tire, bike rack - please look after that. - the front pool is very clean and you see that there is the focus on, but please notice that the second pool need to get cleaning attention as well. The floor isn’t clean as well as the swimming bed but you’ll get a good shower there, which is missing at the front pool. - because the Lumi is located at the west coast, it is necessary to be fit or to use a horse-drawn carriage. We could notice that the horses were treated very badly and they were in a bad condition, some were suffering badly. We’ve spoken to a lokal animal centre and they agreed to us. So maybe it’s possible to get an other opportunity.

Honestly, one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Everything was amazing, from the super friendly and welcoming staff to the great location. The hotel is aesthetic, cozy, and comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy Gili Trawangan. I also love that bicycles are provided as a complimentary facility, making it so easy and fun to explore the island. Every detail made my stay special. Definitely a place I would love to come back to. Highly recommended! ❤️
