We stayed at Katamaran in Lombok in July of 2026. The website portrays the resort as a place for couples to relax and enjoy intimate times by the beach and within the resort. I must say we did not experience that as this resort is a family friendly resort. Young children are welcomed which means young children and their blow up toys are in the infinity pool and swim around the adult bar area.They are having a wonderful time (which is great) but they are being kids which means they are very loud.This is not helpful for couples wanting a peaceful time close to the pool area or by the beach. Also for those that did not smoke at the outdoor eating area, no dedicated non-smoking area was set aside so we often found ourselves moving away from smokers.The Day Spa is poorly located as it is directly above a children's play gym which you do hear. Our accommodation was an ocean view private pool villa. The room was excellent and kept clean. Our private pool however you could not swim in due to the lack of steps to get into it and the bottom of the surface of the pool being extremely rough on your feet (the same surface as the outside of the pool). Full credit to the staff who did on the last two days install some outside stairs to allow us to enter the pool but why the stairs were not there in the first place is a bit strange. So I gave the room itself 5 stars and the staff 5 stars as they were always helpful and did go to some extra efforts for our anniversary. The location of the resort is beautiful with great sunsets. The restaurant food however is average and I recommend you try others further up the beach for lunches and Dinner. The key takeaway is this resort is not an ADULTS only resort. If you have a young family with kids then i would recommend it.

This resort was amazing. The location was superb and located on the beachfront. The 2 pools blended in seamlessly with the environment and offered a perfect sunset view. There were plenty of breakout locations and spots to relax as well as lounges for the pool. Our oceanfront suite was stunning and looked straight over the pool and beach and was private too. Excellent bedding and also bathroom. ,y only complaint was the lighting in the bathroom. Super clean and well maintained rooms and grounds and 2 restaurants, one being at the top of the property and you are taken in a golf cart. Lots of food choices and the same of breakfast which is included. There is a small mini mart across the road but not much around however transport is easily organised. The staff were brilliant. friendly, helpful and they just want to make your stay enjoyable. Thank you for an amazing stay. This was just what we needed. Wayne and Sally
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Katamaran Hotel & Resort Lombok and couldn't be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, every staff member made us feel genuinely welcomed with their warm smiles, friendliness, and attentive service. The hospitality throughout our stay was exceptional and truly made our holiday even more memorable. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable, with a stunning ocean view that we looked forward to waking up to every morning. Watching the sea from our balcony and listening to the sound of the waves was incredibly relaxing and one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel grounds are well maintained, and the atmosphere is peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy Lombok. A special thank you to Tini, who went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. She was always kind, professional, and eager to help whenever we had questions or needed assistance. Her genuine care and attention to detail made a big difference, and we truly appreciated her outstanding service. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. Had an amazing stay at Katamaran Hotel Lombok! The ocean view, infinity pool, and sunset atmosphere were absolutely stunning. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. What made the experience even better was the warm and friendly staff who always made us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, and the whole resort had a peaceful and relaxing vibe. Perfect place for a week bestie-trip or just to unwind in Lombok. Highly recommended and would definitely come back again!
Pickup from the harbour was flexible, and early check-in was possible, which was a great start. The room quality is very good, the property feels slightly older, but it is clearly well maintained. The gym is well equipped and offers beautiful ocean views. Breakfast provides a wide variety of choices. One notable downside was the dry-cleaning service, which takes three days. This is quite inconvenient. If we had been informed in advance that laundry would not be returned the next day, we would have used an external service. For a resort of this standard, this was disappointing. At times, communication felt uneven, as staff tended to direct questions primarily to me rather than engaging both guests equally, for example, asking only me about drink orders while my wife was not addressed. This may be unintentional, but it affected our overall comfort and sense of inclusion. There was also a minor organizational issue when a receipt for paid transport was misplaced. It was easily resolved by providing it again, but it gave a slightly unorganized impression. Overall, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the property is beautifully located directly on the beach. The towels provided at the beach and pool appear quite worn and could benefit from replacement. We also had the opportunity to stay at Katamaran Komodo, where the service level felt more consistent. It’s a pity there is a noticeable difference, as the Lombok property has great potential.
