I've been to the hotel now for the third time in 2026, with the first time being in 2024. It is consistently good in all aspects. As a returning member, I get some discounts. The location is amazing. You can get into the busyness of Monkey Forest Road if you want, or choose to eat at one of the marvelous restaurants in the Bisma area.
If you're into yoga and other places of massage in Ubud, it's just a short stroll away. Even in the middle of all the busyness, it's very quiet.
Excellent location near the Monkey Forest and within walking distance of central Ubud. The rooms are very spacious, beautifully decorated, spotless and have lovely views.
Breakfast was outstanding and one of the best we had during our trip. The gym is also very good and well equipped.
The staff were exceptional, professional and incredibly friendly. Seeing monkeys crossing the hotel grounds in the morning made the stay even more special.
One of the highlights of our trip to Bali. We would definitely stay here again.
This hotel was amazing! It was so nice and clean, all of the workers were extremely nice and helpful, and I was very pleased with the location (was within walking distance to many good restaurants, although I rarely ate out because their restaurant was delicious - get the Pomelo Salad for sure!). The spa was ammaaaaazing - one of the best massages I've ever had (and I have them all the time)! I really can't say enough about the staff and the level of customer service - every single person was genuinely kind, always smiling and knew who I was and remembered where I was from, etc. Thank you for a fantastic experience!
We had a wonderful stay at Royal Kamuela Ubud. The adults only atmosphere made it peaceful and quiet, while the location was perfect, within walking distance to the Ubud Markets, Monkey Forest and Ubud Palace.
The hotel itself is beautiful and very picturesque, surrounded by lush greenery. We even spotted friendly monkeys from our balcony a few times, which added to the experience.
Breakfast was delicious every morning, but the real highlight was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. A special thank you to Jega and Suli for taking us on tours and making our trip so memorable.
We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud.
We absolutely loved our week at the Royal Kamuela Villas, and we can't recommend it highly enough. The staff was incredibly attentive and warm throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. Special thanks to Suli, Ari and Artha for their hospitality! Our private villa with its pool was a peaceful sanctuary, and the housekeeping service was impeccable, keeping everything spotless. We also really appreciated the delicious food and the convenience of being right by the Monkey Forest and great restaurants. The drivers they provided for our day tours were incredibly patient and helpful, adding so much to our experience. We can't wait to return!
