A hidden gem. Beautiful light airy chalets with fabulous views and wonderful vibrant plants. A friendly and enthusiastic diving school and great yoga classes too. But the best part are the staff who are dedicated, attentive and cannot do enough to help. And we loved the bedtime stories too, which came on a scroll each evening along with a sweet dessert. We absolutely loved this hotel.
I had an amazing stay at Deep Roots! Everything exceeded my expectations. The room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore Nusa Penida while still enjoying a peaceful atmosphere. What truly made this place special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure I had a great stay. Their hospitality made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The restaurant was another highlight. Every meal was absolutely delicious, with great quality and excellent service. Honestly, everything about this place was fantastic. It’s the little touches that set this place apart bedtime stories left by the bedside, thoughtful turndown service, the windows drawn, and the air-conditioning switched on to welcome you back each evening. Everything is effortlessly taken care of. Need anything? A simple WhatsApp message to reception, and it’s arranged with warmth and efficiency. Even breakfast is prepared and waiting with just a text. Every staff member serves with genuine smiles and generous hearts, making me feel like royalty throughout my 5D4N stay. A special mention to Jen and Gizelle for the most wonderful yoga sessions, and for the wide variety of workshops available that enriched the entire experience. I have rarely felt so relaxed, cared for, and completely present. Deep Roots isn’t just a resort—it’s a place that makes you feel at home while treating you like a princess. We visit deeproots-resort for 5 days in May. We had 5 perfect days. It started with the good pick-up service. The rooms are beautiful, clean and have a nice view on the mount Agung Bali. The service was perfect. We made a snorkelingtour with a great service and good equipment. The food in the restaurant was delicious. All the details in the resort are made with love and quality. The way the owner deals with the staff gave us a good feeling. After staying there for 5 days, we say : "every thing is perfect in the deeproots-resort"
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Deep Roots Dive & Yoga Resort. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed by the incredibly sweet and caring staff. Even though the harbour transfer is a paid service, the pickup and drop-off both felt so warm, personal, and well-organized — it was such a great way to arrive and leave the island stress-free. The whole resort has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff always went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. A special highlight was the diving experience, which was absolutely amazing and very professionally handled. The team made us feel safe, relaxed, and excited throughout the dives. Big shoutout to the best instructor, Hendra, who guided me through the open water advanced course!🙌🏼 They also made my girlfriends birthday unforgetable during the stay. With birthday song and cake to our room in the evening and the most beautiful birthday-bed. All I asked for was a little towel-animal. Small thoughtful gestures like that say a lot about the people working there. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience on Nusa Penida, and we would happily recommend Deep Roots to anyone looking for a warm, authentic, and memorable stay with great diving and genuinely kind people.
