We absolutely loved our stay at Anusara! The room was incredibly spacious, and having our own private pool overlooking the jungle was easily one of our favorite parts. The view was amazing and made us genuinely want to spend time at the hotel instead of feeling like we constantly needed to be out exploring. The location was the perfect balance for us. It’s not super far from central Ubud—around 20–30 minutes depending on traffic—but it’s far enough away that you feel completely secluded in the jungle. We loved being able to spend the day exploring Ubud and then come back somewhere peaceful and private. It felt secluded without feeling inconveniently far away. Since you are in the middle of the jungle, wildlife is naturally part of the experience, so you do need to remember to keep the doors closed. We actually loved this aspect of the hotel. It was so cool being able to see monkeys right from our room! You can also hear the wildlife at night, but for us it was basically like white noise and we slept great. We ended up eating a lot of our meals at the hotel because the food was genuinely really good, and with such a beautiful view, we didn’t feel like we were missing out by staying in for dinner. The massages were also great and extremely convenient. What stood out the most, though, was the staff. I genuinely can’t emphasize enough how kind and helpful everyone was. Anusara gives you the privacy and secluded feeling of having your own villa while still providing all the benefits and service of a hotel. Whenever we needed something, at any hour, someone was there to help. They also offer laundry service at a very reasonable price, which was extremely convenient during a longer trip. Overall, Anusara was one of our favorite stays in Bali. If your priority is being able to walk directly outside your hotel and be in the middle of central Ubud, this may not be the location for you. But for us, the short drive was completely worth it for the privacy, jungle setting, incredible views, private pool, great food and wonderful staff. We would absolutely stay here again

If I good I could give higher than 5 stars for service and food I would. Absolutely amazing service and smiles from the staff. So friendly, treated us like family. And the food. We went into town to higher end restaurants, not one compared to the food at the Anusara, especially the samosas. Thank you for a great 5 days.
I recently stayed at Anusara Luxury Villas Ubud, and while the property delivers exceptionally well in terms of luxury, hospitality, and dining, the overall experience was overshadowed by operational concerns that made the stay quite unsettling after dark. From the moment we arrived, the staff at reception were warm, attentive, and genuinely courteous. The villa itself was beautifully designed, featuring a private pool overlooking the jungle, dual wash basins, an outdoor shower area, and an open-roof bathtub, creating a truly immersive Balinese luxury experience. The team also thoughtfully decorated our bedroom with a “Happy Honeymoon” setup, which was a lovely gesture. The food and in-room dining experience were excellent throughout the stay. Breakfast service was impressive, orders arrived promptly, and the hospitality standards during daytime hours were exceptional. The lush greenery, tropical alleyways, and jungle-inspired architecture make the property visually stunning and highly photogenic. However, once the sun went down, the experience became increasingly uncomfortable. The property had informed us about wild monkeys and avoiding food outside, which was understandable given the jungle setting. We were completely fine with nature and wildlife being outside the villa. The issue started when large geckos and lizards repeatedly entered the room itself, making the stay genuinely stressful. On one occasion, after housekeeping had accessed the room, a gecko entered and remained inside the ceiling area late into the night. At around 2:00 AM, after hearing repeated noises above us, we realized the gecko was directly over our bed. Even after repeatedly complaining to the reception staff on the second day, we were told that “the gecko is friendly, it won’t harm you, and nothing can really be done because the property is in the jungle.” While we understand the natural environment, the response felt dismissive and slightly rude, especially considering we had nowhere else to shift during the night. To be fair, the housekeeping staff did try to help and came to the villa 2–3 times to remove the gecko/lizard, but unfortunately they were unsuccessful each time. Additionally, one night we noticed a large group of ants gathered across the ceiling shortly after housekeeping had cleaned the room, which was concerning for a property positioned as a luxury villa stay. Another major issue occurred when the air conditioner stopped functioning around 1:30 AM, and because the reception and operational support remain unavailable from 11 PM to 6 AM, no assistance was available. Combined with the dark jungle alleyways and isolated surroundings, the property felt intimidating during late hours. Overall, Anusara Luxury Villas Ubud excels in villa aesthetics, honeymoon ambience, food quality, and daytime hospitality, but the lack of overnight operational support, room maintenance consistency, and wildlife management inside the villas significantly impacted what could otherwise have been a premium luxury experience in Ubud. I would recommend this property mainly to travelers who are fully comfortable with an immersive jungle-style stay and minimal late-night assistance.
Our stay at Anusara Luxury Villas was amazing. We booked a villa with a private pool, and the pool was excellent. The pool pump operates from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but if you’d like to use the pool after that, you can easily request the staff to turn it on. The villa was spacious, and the bathroom was very well designed and comfortable. Breakfast was good, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. The location is also a big plus—it’s about a 15-minute scooter ride to Ubud Center. Once there, many popular attractions are nearby, such as Alas Harum, Ubud Palace, and the Campuhan Ridge Walk. I would definitely recommend Anusara Luxury Villas for anyone planning to stay in Ubud.
I've never met nicer people in my life. The location is pretty far from the airport. Its not far from Ubud city center at all but traffic is a beast to navigate from here. The villa itself was beautiful; because of the location, the wildlife was in abundance. The ants were annoying; even to sit on the pool ledge was difficult because the ants were ever present and trying to crawl on you. They were present in the room as well despite minimal food present. The room was a nice size and the bathroom was amazing with the shower having an open ceiling concept. The service here is unmatched and I would definitely come back.
