Absolutely wonderful stay at Maison Messmer! The hotel was beautiful, but what really made our experience special were Aaron and Trisan. They both helped us excellently and went above and beyond to make our stay extra pleasant. Their kindness, professionalism, and great service truly made a difference. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be coming back next year! Thank you, Aaron and Trisan, for making our stay so enjoyable. You guys are amazing!

Love this hotel! Location couldn't be better, next to the casino and cute boutique shopping area. Coffee shops, bars, ice cream parlour all 30 seconds from the front door. Along with a beautiful shaded sitting area. The hotel itself is beautiful very classical but with a lovely modern clean feel. Our room was lovely, spacious and extremely comfortable, robes and slippers provided along with gorgeous smelling toiletries. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a city view room with balcony. I can highly recommend paying the little bit extra for this... absolutely beautiful view. Spa area is very nice. The pool isn't huge and I don't know how busy it gets at peak hours. We generally only use the hotel pools at the quiet times before closing and it was more or less empty at those times. The spa with Sauna, Steam room, ice fountain was great. But we aren't used to the naked policy in German Spas so were a bit uncomfortable. So didn't really use it. The Spa area does close at 9pm. Would be nice if the pool could stay open a little longer. We will definitely return when we are in need of true rest and relaxation.
We arrived early at the hotel, and Aleyna was professional, courteous, and kind enough to provide us with an early check-in. The process was swift! She graciously explained everything about the hotel and even congratulated us in advance for our anniversary. The absolute highlight of this trip was the sauna and indoor pool. It was superb—honestly one of the best wellness facilities I've ever experienced. We spent a few hours there for two consecutive days just lounging and relaxing. The staff service here was top-notch. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will come back again soon. This is officially our go-to hotel in Baden-Baden, and we will surely recommend it to all our friends and family.
We chose this hotel because it is one of the few 5-star hotels in Baden-Baden and carries a Michelin Key. We expected exceptional hospitality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite. We had booked two rooms on 29 June, 2026. Both rooms had completely non-functioning air conditioning, despite the hotel apparently already being aware that this had been an ongoing issue for nearly a week. The only solution offered was a fan, and we were expected to spend the night in unbearable heat. Throughout the morning, we had to repeatedly follow up with reception before any action was taken to change our rooms for our 2nd night. We were eventually moved to different rooms at around 1:30 pm, but only after multiple phone calls and standing at reception ourselves. The most unacceptable part of our stay was discovering two maintenance staff inside my room while both the physical and digital "Do Not Disturb" signs were on. I had never given permission for anyone to enter my room, and I was alone at the hotel while my husband was away for work. This was a serious violation of privacy and completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a five-star property. This experience highlighted several serious operational issues: known maintenance problems, poor communication between staff, repeated follow-ups required from guests, a breach of privacy, and service that simply did not reflect a five-star hotel. There were a few staff members, including Olivia and Mazin, who tried to help within the limits of what they were able to do, and I appreciate their efforts. However, the overall handling of this situation was extremely disappointing. I sincerely hope the hotel addresses these issues because this was far from the standard we expected from a Michelin Key property.
Pro: The hotel is centrally located allowing everything to be within walking distance. The staff was great. They showed me two different rooms so I could choose where I wanted to stay. That's 5 star customer service. Also, the rooms were nicely decorated. Cons: The bathroom was a little dated. Be aware: They seemed to have a different custom or cultural way of sleeping with there partner - the bed consists of two twin sized mattresses pushed together with two twin comforters. That's definitely different and could be plus or minus based on your travel situation.
